You probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Ruben Vivaan Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Make sure to purchase the cord with the gray end and black end if you use your iPhone...it will not work without it just like he said. Comes with a similar looking cord but that one with two black ends will not work with your iPhone. Great video!
we just bought these and they worked first time, out of the box - super sound quality. worked with the 3.5mm socket and via usb-c (2 handsets, Android variants). The quality of the built in microphone was very good, for voice.
Thank you so much! This video finally convinced me to buy these, in order to be able to record my UA-cam yoga classes without having to do a voiceover separately. Thanks for your detailed review and the links!!
Hey Justin. I had already ordered my RODE Wireless Go before watching this video but still watched this. It's on back order and I cannot wait to get it. Right now I'm using the on board mic and I don't like it. But when I do voice overs, I use my desk RODE mic and for that, I love it. Anyway, thanks again for all the work you and your brother do. UA-cam is so fun! Cheers and boogie boogie, Ivy.
@Drew Sebastian Another tosser spam account. I like how you used a different ethnicity on your second account that responds. Most of you scammers don't bother.
Great video, Justin. Thank you for keeping us up on the latest and the greatest! I learned a lot from this one. I also like the presentation style for featuring and discussing a product. Right up my alley!🦋
Thanks a lot Justin. Although I’ve just started my first couple of videos. But I felt really thankful that your videos had encourage me to even try on my first one. Many thanks.
Hi Justin, great video very informative, I have a Samsung A50 will I need to buy anything else to make this kit work or is everything in the box? Kind regards Colin
Great review video Just one question, I still need to buy the lavalier from Rode or can I use The Boya lavalier, will that work? I do need the TRS adapter cable though right?
You can use the BOYA with this, that long cable though could get annoying though. They've now released a rode Lavalier Go microphone to work with this and it' great
Justin Brown - Primal Video I see they have the Rode lavalier Go on Amazon for $61.46 plus $5.00 shipping. To save money I could buy the adapter and use my boys for now. I also have the zoomh4n I’ve spent so much on audio in the past for my videos but I just want something simple, and not have to sync the audio. Thanks for your fast response. Maybe you can do a updated video with the new Rode Go lavalier. Thank you for your informative videos they help alot😄👍🏻
I just rewatched this one and shared it on my Facebook page in a comment. I just purchased the rode go myself although it wasn't under $200, although, it's May 28th 2020 as I type this. Not sure when you first uploaded this video. In any case, it's a great review and one I was happy to share and recommend. 😀
It looks like it should only cost 40 tops I mean wheres the surprise with a seven hour battery life when it cost 200 dollars it should have 15 hours tops just saying
So...If if buying the Røde Wireless Go for my iPhone 8, what would my shopping list look like? I'm a little confused about all the extra cords and such. Thanks for the video, looks like a great product.
Justin, thanks so much for the Rode wireless video tutorial - I got this kit for Christmas and was going to google how to use it! I just need to get the lighting adapter. I subscribed and can't wait to watch the other videos!
Hi Justin, I have the Boya M1 hard wired mic. It "sounds" great but it's a pain in the neck being confined to this cable in my kitchen. I am seriously considering buying the Rode Wireless Go. I think I'm liking the idea of using the lapel mic just as I have with the Boya. Should I use the Boya along with the Rode Go, and stick the 20" cable in my pocket, or just buy the Rode lapel mic? I'm ok with buying a new mic if you think it would give a higher quality sound.
Personally I love the Rode Wireless Go + Lavalier Go combo and use it for most of our recent UA-cam videos but before that I was using the Boya and it worked great! If you can handle the cable then I think it's a great option, so maybe test it out and if it doesn't work well for you then grab the Rode Lavalier 👍
Hey Justin, this was an extremely helpful video, but I still have one question. The link for the Extension Bar doesn’t work anymore, so what extension bar should I use for iPhone?
I have a Galaxy S7, what I learned from this video is I will be spending near $300 to upgrade my sound quality. R. W. Go System + 2 converter cables + smartLav Plus.
A couple questions. In your video, you have a mount you use that holds cell on one side and receiver on the other side. What mount and stand do you use. Second question is you said you can have multiple units running. What do you use to tie in two of these receivers into one devices so both people can be heard. Thanks for your help
Great review of this! I looked it up knowing you’d surely have reviewed it. Any chance that you’ll be reviewing the new GO II version? That’s the one I’m thinking might work for me.

if i am doing audition self tapes, would your recommend you use this wireless go solution or would you suggest using a directional mic set up? also, do i have to use something like filmic pro to film my video with a mic set up, or can i just use the video function on my iPhone? Thanks for the video, great job!
Great video Justin. One question please. If you use a mini deadcat with the Rode Lavalier Smartlav+, do you leave the foam winshield on as well (ie fur deadcat over foam windshield which in turn it covering the end of the microphone)?
I haven’t used microphones yet, so these videos are helpful to me in trying to determine what I want to use. However, I would have liked to see the testing you did with the microphone in the different circumstances you mentioned.
Thank you so much for all this information. Best I've seen on youtube! Since you filmed this, has Rode W Go upgraded to take the Lav mic without another adaptor? I do want to purchase Rode, but I know I'll need a connector for the iphone, plus another for the lav mic. Was hoping there'd be an upgrade by now. Or do you know if one is coming soon? Thanks!
Thank you for all your fantastic videos. I'm wondering if you have ever done a Rode Wireless Go vs the Sennheiser AVX-MKE2 for sound quality? Curious to know what your thoughts are on this? Thank you once again.
Great video. We are filming on stage presentations with 3 speakers. Is there an option without having to buy 2 receivers? And how many mics can one receiver handle?
Awesome vid! I’m a student looking to record lectures and listen to them on my iPhone or iPad. Could you please tell me how exactly can I do this with this product?
The receiver portion of this wireless device has a standard headphone style plug on it. Just plug that into your device. You may need the included adapter that comes with it to convert from a TRS plug to a TRRS plug required by IOS devices. Charles
Hi, Justin. I want to ask you about an iPhone teleprompter. I have been using videoteleprompter free, and am ready to buy a professional one, but would like your opinion on which is the best. I would love to be able to put TITLES to my video so that they stand out in youtube and social media. Any recommendations?
Hi justin thanks for the video. I was wondering if it is possible to connect two transmitters to one receiver connected onto my dslr camera? I do cooking show with my mum and we will both be speaking. Do u thibk i can connect two mics or will one be enough if positioned properly? Hope that makes sense. Thanks
Thanks for a nice review, the question is, what will happen when the iPhones for example won’t have any more ports? Is the video go capable of recording audio on internal memory so we can download it when editing out videos?
New sub here Justin, this channel is just the ticket for me. I have been making youtube vids intermittently for a few years, with no real filming or editing knowledge or skill, and it shows. I'm retired now so I hope to be able to devote a bit more time to the whole things. As far as wireless microphones go, I have the K&F Concept set up. They seem to work okay for me. Do you think I should upgrade to the Rode version? All the best, Brian.
🤷♂️ that's really only a decision you can make.. If possible try to test out the rode units in a local camera store so you can see (and hear) if it's worth the upgrade for you and the videos you're making :)
Hi Justin, great vid! I'm looking to purchase two sets for the interviews and videos we'll be doing in pairs. But don't understand these TRRS to TRS.. which one I need to purchase to connect the mic to the transmitter? I've heard you mentioned it goes from TRRS to TRS but on Amazon, it says it's iPhone accessory... is it the sc3 and sc4 the same thing? And regarding the rode smart lav+ mic, is it overkill or would it be good to buy that in combo with the kit? I'm brand new in this game and would like to play it safe :). Thanks again for all the info
Great video. Thank you. I am a bit of beginner and wonder if you could give me some advice? Do you know what hot shoe ring adapter would fit the DJI Osmo 3 abs the Rode Wireless go? Thanks
can it be used as a travel vlogging mic?? if camera is off, will it keep consuming the power or we have to turn on/off camera and mic as well to save power?? how is it flexible to use it if i take many videos in some time intervals?
Hi, Great Video, Very helpful, thank you. Please could you let me know what tripod set up you have for connecting the iphone and the mic transmitter. i.e what parts do I need to buy to have the same set up that you showing in your video. Thank you.
It can be connected to your computer to use as a wireless mic, but not paired like you pair up bluetooth devices. You'll need to grab a TRS to TRRS cable to make it work on your MBP
"Petty damned amazing for what it is" What it IS - is an amazing piece of technology for the price. Im in now that I've seen your video Justin, Awesome dude thanks a lot ! I live in LA and we're about to launch some short films where we need to steal some shots in city parks since we have no budget
Hey, quick question. Me and my friend wanted to produce a series and needed mics to use that worked with phones. If we bought multiple mics how would we connect all the audios to a singular phone?
I have question do I can do live Facebook and streaming 30 feet a way from my phone and playing guitar and singing in same time with video streaming on Facebook on these RODE Wireless GO microphone? Or do you can test that on Facebook with review?
For filmning yoga classes would this røde wireless mic work? I will be moving around in the shot and sometimes turning my back to camera or lying on my belly. Im filmning with an Iphone. Or do you have anything els you could recommend for that?
Hey Justin, great review. Out of interest, would you choose the Rode Go mic or a Deity D3 Pro shogun mic? This will be for talking head videos with my iPhone at home. Would love to hear your opinion.
@@PrimalVideo quality sounds good? I will be using this for talking head and a USB mic for screencasting. Hopefully I should be able to blend the 2 audio formats well.
Thanks for the guide! -Really thorough. The only suggestion, when you have an affiliate link, is to update the mount for the new Samsung phones :) i.e. S20! Thanks again for this video.
Do you think this could be used with the DJI Osmo Pocket? Pretty certain that it will work, but not sure how you would mount the Transmitter since there is no 1/4 20 thread. Any thoughts?
Just found out Rode came out with a white Wireless GO. I saw a vid on this and I swear the sound (without a lav mic) is different than the black. Could you please do a test on the white and black comparison? Also, I saw the LAV GO mic. Is this better than the Rode smart LAV plus?
Do you have a video about the best dual wireless lav setup? I'm a tech newbie, a Realtor, and need to do impromptu or planned onsite interview type videos. Need separate and clear sound and be able to walk a ways back from transmitter while talking. Also will be going live from my Samsung S20 Plus
Hi Justin, when you are using an iphone with a Gimble, when you attach the receiver to the iphone, does it unbalance the iphone in the gimble? I've had problems with iphone attachments when using a Gimble in the past.
this may be a rookie question. But does this record directly as stereo? Other wireless microphone receivers have recorded in mono and I just want to record and go not mess around with making mono stereo. thanks
Do you have any recommendations for a good kit to record my voice while skateboarding? I’m hesitant to use a wireless setup recording audio directly to the camera because skateboarding obviously involves lots of rapid changes in distance and position relative to the receiver haha. If there’s anything that has onboard storage you’d recommend that would be sweet!
Justin I follow you for several years now. Congrats on the growth of your channel. I purchased the RODE WIRELESS GO II and use it with my Note 9. I am fine when it comes to using mic 1 but mic 2 never works when the channels are split. I only get audio from the second mic or channel 2 when I merge the channels. Which means I cannot use the 2nd mic for interviews. Which is why I bought it in the first place. I did by the SC16 cable with no luck. I am going crazy. Please help. Thanks in advance.
I had a bad experience with my Wireless Go, the internal microphone stops working after connecting an external lavalier.
Well put together video Justin! I'm very interested in checking out this unit - size, easy mount and sound are big factors for me 🙂👍
Thanks! Yeah they are huge factors!

😍Thanks Joella! This was a fun one to make and it's definitely an awesome piece of gear!
Can you record to separate mics at the same time with Iphone?
The sound quality of the Wireless Go is all over the place. You're gonna be better off with a Sennheiser G4.
Thanks a lot Justin. Although I’ve just started my first couple of videos. But I felt really thankful that your videos had encourage me to even try on my first one. Many thanks.

No problem Hevin Zaza! Hope you like it!
I seriously need to get this! I’m tired of the Shure MV-88. So much interference sometimes. I wish they had a lightning adapter tho
Jay - SPK Lifestyle I agreed! I found the DSP on the MV88 to be unreliable.
Thanks Justin I will be adding this to my toolkit soon. I actually liked how the wireless go sounds alone and in your hand.

No he said that in the video that you need one per person.
Hey, awesome video thanks! Does this product record straight to the iphone or does it need an app?
it will work with most apps
So glad I watched your video, made everything clear thanks for sharing looking forward to more of your content 🤩
You're welcome!
Awesome piece of equipment, I’d love one of them maybe I’ll get one for Christmas if I’m good

Thanks for all this info. Where do you purchase the lapel mic to clip into the RODE?
No problem Aimee! Yes, that's what I do!
Great info! Can the transmitter/mic be paired directly to a macbook pro as an external mic?
It can be connected to your computer to use as a wireless mic, but not paired like you pair up bluetooth devices. You'll need to grab a TRS to TRRS cable to make it work on your MBP

@@PrimalVideo quality sounds good? I will be using this for talking head and a USB mic for screencasting. Hopefully I should be able to blend the 2 audio formats well.
@@PrimalVideo also would you use the wireless go with the inbuilt mic or plug a lavalier mic into it?
Thanks for the guide! -Really thorough. The only suggestion, when you have an affiliate link, is to update the mount for the new Samsung phones :) i.e. S20! Thanks again for this video.
NIce video thank you
It was one of your best video tutorial. Keep it up.. It was very very interesting video...
Thanks Martin - Appreciate the feedback!
Thanks for the video Justin, just ordered it I hope your affiliate link still works 😀
You're welcome! 🙏
Hi Justin, when you are using an iphone with a Gimble, when you attach the receiver to the iphone, does it unbalance the iphone in the gimble? I've had problems with iphone attachments when using a Gimble in the past.
Ty for the video, Justin! Is it possible to send multiple sets to a single iPhone?
you can use a headphone jack splitter cable to let you plug two units in
Thanks. I like your video style. Keep up.
You're welcome!
Thanks. What volume should you set the iPhone to so audio won't clip?
Very helpful!!!! Will be getting one, I guess...Thank you!
this may be a rookie question. But does this record directly as stereo? Other wireless microphone receivers have recorded in mono and I just want to record and go not mess around with making mono stereo. thanks
Would you suggest to use the transmitter as it comes for rehab physio exercise recording , sort of yoga/pilates video ?
Any suggestion for gopro7? Do you think an usb c adapter will work ?
Knight Ride963 good question. I’m searching for gopro 7 mic
@@Prettywins quite annoying that even GoPro stopped selling it.
HAven't tested with gopro.. but if you can get an adaptor then this should work fine
So will this work with both a GoPro 6 and a random video camera?
Do you have any recommendations for a good kit to record my voice while skateboarding? I’m hesitant to use a wireless setup recording audio directly to the camera because skateboarding obviously involves lots of rapid changes in distance and position relative to the receiver haha. If there’s anything that has onboard storage you’d recommend that would be sweet!
Great video really thorough. Thank you 🎙👍
So glad we could help you!
Your notes it’s very helpful thanks.
You’re welcome!
Not sure why that wouldn’t work - might be best to connect with RØDE themselves to help you
