I just received this exact setup from Amazon today. Plugged them in to my iPhone and they are working great. I saw a few comments saying they sounded terrible and I just don't agree. They will be great for some of the things I plan to use them for, where I might be 20-30 feet from the iPhone. In that case, the iPhone camera will not pick-up your voice very well but I tested today with these little mics and the sound was very good. If you want better quality, then shell out some cash for expensive ones and don't complain about a $ 25.00 product that comes with 2 microphones.
Thank you for this, because I was really looking at buying these types of mics. I'm looking for a better quality, but for $20-$25 bucks super useful for just communication. Thanks again man!!
This mic works very well when its directly in front of your mouth - once you clip it , it picks up so much surrounding noise .. so yeah ! You can use them but use them like a direct microphone not lapel
Many mic sets around $15. Mine was fine even after 100 ft. Plugged into osmo pocket 3. You get the bonus of recording both the original sound from the microphones on the osmo plus a separate audio file of the wireless. It's amazing to have the choice of either or mixing both in the editing stage.
The key difference being that XLR powered mics typically give a far nicer sound - warmer, deeper and more "radio presenter" but that said ... if you're caught in a pinch and need something super-portable, easy to charge and discrete, then that's where the USB wireless works nicely. And at 20 bucks ... it's almost worth just having a set just in case. I already have the original Rode Wireless Mic's so just use those - the benefit of that option being that they provide TRRS power so sound is closer to the XLR than the wireless USB. Good review, man - keep up the good work :)
What you should have tried is place the other mic on your dog (snoring or not) to hear both audio coming in at once.. still look like a fun touy for the ones trying to get their feet wet into vloggin. Pretty sure you heard that static when you were waving the mic around. But for close prox v;ogging and sitting down with no other wireless system, it may be worth something. And how long do the battery last. Is ist still working a year later?
Thank you so much for this video! I just wanted something cheap and easy and you've helped me a lot. I haven't bought this yet, but will it work for iPhone 7?
Hi, I have a question. Did you do something before using them with life fb? Or just plug the stuff on the device? It isn't working with live transmisión, but wasap calls yes. I'll apareciste your answer.
I think you should do a video testing it outside around an area space with people around you. the video is nice I like it but I wish you test it out with other mics but outside to see how it really works
Hey man, is it possible to connect a headphone? to talk, sing and listen at the same time, while recording? I want to use it to remix reels on Instagram... have you tested this? recommend?
Correct me if I'm wrong but these are not Bluetooth they are wireless which is why you have to plug the receiver into your iPhone, my one works with my iPhone 7 but not my iPhone 14 Pro
What about gaming to replace a boom mic? Is there a lot of latency? I could get a mic that on my desk but that is a lot more cables and i have enough cables on my desk as it is.
My father in law just bought these but the microphone seems to pick up the surrounding area more than his voice is there a feature to increase the mic level?
These are the mics that everyone tick tock and Instagram are using. They are terrible and everyone thinks you just sync the audio and BOOM it's good - no, you have to process it and make it sound good.
Thanks for review. Probably a dumb question, but will this work with a DJI Action 3 camera or do I need a special connector? My camera needs a usb c connector.
I bought the Lavalier wireless mics you've demonstrated in your video. Unfortunately the distortion on the playback was so severe I gave up on them. Maybe some idea on how to set up on Sony digital camera would help out. e.g. does the audio on the camera need to be turned down or off first to avoid severe audio distortions?
Just bought some and i'm charging at I type. Will see how good they are once ive recorded my 1st reaction video in a little while. I have some confidence they'll be alright though....
I record videos of local rock bands using my iPhone. I like to move around and go from up front and back by the drummer. Right now my sound changes as I move around. I was hoping that I could put the microphone in front to pickup sound from the PA system. But I was afraid the sound might be worse than the built in mic that sounds decent.
I wonder if it's possible to buy two sets and use the receiver of the first set with the 2nd set in case the latter failed? Do these wireless mics even be, manually, paired woth the receiver?
I got excited, rushed ahead and bought these..... *But they don't work on a Microsoft computer?! Or does someone know how, and I am wrong?* Please help if you do! Super bummed :(
Here's what confuses the heck out of me: If these are bluetooth devices, why do they need their own special dongle? Why can't they just be used with your phone or pc's existing bluetooth hardware? But I also change classrooms a lot so I'd like to not have a dongle stuck to my computer all the time if I can help it.
The 65' range is probably referencing the BT range, and not the Mic range. It was just poorly documented. Who tries to speak into a microphone more than 5' away anyway?
Will it work for my laptop? I stream my Xbox from my capture card but when I'm in a party chat my mic doesn't pick it up the stream but picks up the people in my party .. so I currently use a second mic but It's not too clear since I'm not too close to the screen
