This video rolled automatically after one the most recent one recorded in 1995. You would have no idea what year it is from. They sound the same in 1979, 1989, 1999, 2009. It just doesn't matter.
Thanks for starting this. Can't wait to see what else you upload. I, myself, would love to hear a show or two with Xeno from '73-74. The Dutch Mill from Oct. '73 would be a great one to start with.
This sounds like it was either a professional multi track recording done by the band or a radio broadcast from master reels….it has an even, clean clear mix which is hard to get freon just a standard soundboard recording. Excellent…this was not long after my first CT show in Phila May’79. Let’s hope for some of those early live club recordings used to shop the band to labels in 75/76 and maybe the 2 track pre production demos from 76 for the first album Jack Douglas had them do so he could hear all of their material.
Thank you, thank you & thank you Bun & Co. for sharing BBB!!! Love this!!! Cheap Trick are the greatest band ever! Period!!! Bun, you're the best drummer too! Never heard anyone tighter doing fills on top of fills!!! Thanks for all the hard work for our listening and visual pleasure! Heaven Tonight!!!
Wonder why this tape starts with stiff compitation. On this tour in 1979 Cheap Trick opened their set with Hello there, Come On Come On, then Stiff Compitation????
Thanks, Bun E for digging these gems up and making them available to the fans. Looking forward to see what else is in the vault, especially old demos and live shows from the early years (pre-1980). 🥁
This is { TRULY } One of the Best CT shows Ever recorded !! ( If there was only video ) ... If so, I would definitely BUY IT ! Or.. Uploading it would be UNREAL !!!
Saw Cheap Trick on this tour in the summer of 1979. They played 3rd bill at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, CA in front of over 25,000 fans. It was the loudest Cheap Trick concert I've ever attended, and I've seen them over 25 times live since they opened for KISS in 1977. Shakin street opened the show, then it was the Pat Travers band, then Cheap Trick and the headliner was Blue Oyster Cult
Greetings from Tampa - truly appreciate the channel! Got to see Bun E. play several times over the year; and my sis & bro-in-law are always glad to see him whenever they head up from Nashville to the Chicago Drum Show. Great guy!
Love it!! Loud & Heavy!!

Wasn’t this also back when Rick was entertaining to watch too looking like one of the Bowery boys ?
Awesome, I was at this show! It was my first time seeing Cheap Trick live. Graham Parker and the Rumor opened.

Peak CT period
Amazing, driving drumming throughout the entire set! Bun E. was the strongest player on stage that evening in 1979. One of my favorite drummers!
I always knew it was all about the music.
This is a wonderful recording and can't wait for more. I saw CT many times and wish I could have gotten the Bun E tape of the show. This is great !

Thank you for this, I love it! I've seen the basement bootlegs available online but fear of being pegged as an actual "bootlegger" kept me away.
Wow, what a great surprise. Thank you! Loving it.
This will be epic!!
Fantastic!
Spectacular!!
