100% the X Pro 3, but its a bit heavy, so I am sticking with the nearest XE, the XE2, for now. The 4 is more like a mini X100 than a mini X Pro.
X100V complements my X-T4 as a family, daily documenting camera - nice to have the same workflow for both and similar results
⚡️
I think it’s worth mentioning that the X-E4 plus the XF27mm R WR should be pretty darn close in depth to the X100V, while offering a tighter “normal” lens field of view, and still costs $1049 as a bundle.
The value to cost ratio is great on the X-E4. Just copped one for about $700 used which I thought was a great deal.
@@simonin3d awesome, how do you like it?
Great video, I appreciated that you kept specs nice and quick for these cameras. You gave them a good breakdown describing their similarities/differences in functionality for who they would be best suited for, while providing a lot of great side by side size comparison shots. Thank you ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Was looking for this comparison! Thanks a ton, great vid ⚡
⚡️This was super rad! I really appreciate the perspective. You do a nice combination of technical aspect balanced with the everyday shooting reality of the gear your review. Thanks again!
Well done. Great review I’m glad you remembered to include the leaf shutter, flash, and ND filter on the X100V
Well said. All 3 of those are HUGE. Shooting wide open in sunlight.. shutter so silent it’s basically an invisible camera, and a flash that I use often. Indoors and out.
This is great information, thank you for keeping us posted on this new X-E4 and helping us make decisions :)
I am certainly leaning back to the X100V personally. In black of course.
I have the x100v as my fun, grab and go digital camera and it’s perfect for that. I love having the hybrid viewfinder as I prefer the optical viewfinder but will use the evf from time to time. It is great to have that option and it’s shame no other camera systems has something like it.
⚡️⚡️⚡️ Great video Benj! Love the attention you give to detail and the way you deliver the information. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these Fuji cameras.
My x100v is an object that brings me joy. As shallow as that is, I absolutely love it.
Cool video, thanks for sharing. Really good to see them all together.
Thank you for the review, def leaning a certain way and this helped⚡️⚡️⚡️
so much quality work and clear articulation of thoughts . love it
Great rundown Benj! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Nice job Benj. One of the best reviews of the X100V I've seen.
Best comparison I saw so far. Thank you
Oh yeah, Subscribed!
Thank you very much! I literally had this Three on my wishlist!
Best wishes!✌🏻😃 ⚡⚡⚡
⚡ love your videos and the way you break stuff down.
Super helpful breaking down aspects for each photographer ! ⚡️
⚡ Nice comparison video. I have both the X-Pro2 and the X100V. They both get used an equal amount. I tend to use the X100V to just simplify things when I start overthinking what I should put in my camera bag. I also noticed that Voigtländer M mount lenses tend to be used more frequently on my X-Pro2 since I picked up the X100V.
The video is very well done. Clear, concise, informative and insightful. I can imagine the effort it takes to create such a video - many thanks for sharing this valuable and helpful information ⚡
Great comparison! Thanks! ⚡
I have the X100V among others and it's great. Cool to see the sizes all together of these 3 cameras.
X-E series is definitely the back-up body par excellence for the Fuji system. I have the X-E2s but I'm getting the X-E4 + 27mm mark II combo precisely because I want a slim back-up body with tilt screen and weather resistant pancake lens for my X-Pro3.
Great comparison video !
I am a Leica 35mm film rangefinder shooter.
Instead of a digital Leica rangefinder, I prefer to use the Fuji X-Pro1 and X-Pro2.
⚡I have an XE3 and X100V. I had an XPro2, Sony a6300, various Nikons. After purchasing a few 35mm RF film cameras and LOVING them I decided to look for something like them in the digital world. The X100V is the closest thing I could find and it's brilliant! The XE3 is sitting in it's box! ⚡
really good comparison Benj, really enjoyed it 👍
Thank you!
This is super helpful thank you! ⚡️
Your explanation really hits it. Thanks
Love the cheeky editor’s notes on screen.
⚡️looking for a street camera for an event in the Fall and am looking forward to the upcoming release. Watched a few of your videos and really appreciate your comparisons as well as editing/text effect work.
Hi Ben….hugely helpful ⚡️…especially in helping with cognitive dissonance in picking the XE-4 over the X-100v. Love the work.
I wish I could afford any of these cameras
I guess the Xe-4 and the 27mm will be a really good combo, and have the hability to change lenses is not a bad thing. However WR can be handy.
Great cameras. Nice review. Thanks. ❤
I "watched it all the way to the end." Thank you! Enjoyed the video very much. I love all 3 cameras but really want a great compact one everyday one. :)
Thanks for watching!
⚡️thanks for the comparison. i’ve been trying to decide between the x100v and the xpro3.
Easy choice, always pro3
Great comparison. Thanks!
Very helpful video, Benj.
Great info in there for those switching to Fuji or upgrading. Thanks!
Interesting that Fuji makes many body variations with same sensor and essentially same processor. Be interesting with a mono sensor. ⚡️
Thank you for this amazing video ⚡
I just fall in love with the X-E4, now waiting till I can buy one and start taking some photos with it :D
Great comparison. Thank you! 1.5 years ago, I got the “V” as a “fun camera” next to my Nikon full frame DSLR. Barely touched the Nikon ever since and ultimately got rid of it. I looked long and hard at the pro3. But that screen is too damn gimmicky for my taste. And after years of hauling gear around and always debating which lens to bring, the “35mm only” obligation has been a bliss. That said, the 50mm equivalent tele converter and the Fuji EF-60 flash do wonders for me (for the occasional portrait). Such a nice “complete” pack, all weather sealed and without the temptations of getting a closet full of lenses….
so you used the x100v only for now?
Well done video. I am ordering the x100V, all great cameras. Great information, thanks!!
You do the best reviews of the X-E4 out of everyone. Very insightful and informative, thank you very much! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Watch to the end, very helpful. I have the 23mm f2 already so I would lean towards the E4...or should I just keep using my X-T2 with the 23?
That MkII 23/2 lens plus ND and leaf shutter and weather sealing in the X100V make it a very compelling choice.
nice detailed camera comparison video!
great comparisons. Thanks
Great comparison! Leaning towards the x100v as a second body to my xt3
That’s my setup (XT3 & X100V) and it’s fantastic. I will say, I do lust after the XPRO 3. And the XE4 is a great little camera.
⚡Two years on and still relevant! I was hoping this made my choice easier, but it made it even harder. Fuji is on a different level!
⚡ Thank you for the comparison.
I'm looking at the XE4 as my entry onto the Fuji platform for casual shooting. Be well, JB
The xpro 3 somehow inspires me to shoot. It’s just really fun 🤤. The other ones look also beautiful
Loved my x100f, and my X-E3, but have just sold them both and bought the xPro3.
Hi, thank you for this review. Any leads on those leather straps? They look real cool!
⚡️⚡️⚡️ great video thanks! Still debating on it lol.
Great video… ordered x 100 V. It will arrive from B&H in a few weeks. I’m new to Fuji. I love your content.
Interesting vid, just changed my x pro 1 for a x100v and loving it so far. Lovely form factor looks great. BTW love the leather straps what are they? Thanks
Another good video. All great cameras for sure.
Benj with the goods! ⚡️
Great video! I will probably keep my X-E3 for a while
👌👍☀️📸
I want my X-E4 like, yesterday. 👌📷
Well, I own the X-Pro 3 as well as the ‘2’, love those rigs and they nicely complement my X-T2 that I use for action work. The X-E2s was my introduction into the Fuji system when moving from Canon after 35 years back in 2017. At first glance, the X-E4 was looking like a “must-have” to replace the X-E2s, however, on closer inspection (via UA-cam) the missing focus switch from the from of the camera is a big negative for me, that said, I will withhold judgment until I have a chance to try it out, once my local camera store gets a few in stock. Love the looks of the ‘100’, but the fixed lens is a deal killer....for now🤤 but I might succumb at some future date when my wallet allows.
Im really thinking about switching from the X100v to the XE4 simply because the fast heating of the X100v annoys me more than I want to admit because it is not a real issue but still the only thing that keeps me from keeping it.
Has someone made any experience with the XE4? Has it because of the similar body the same heat production?
Hey @benjhaisch . Loved this video. I do have a question about the lenshood that you suggested to buy on the video description (JJC Lens Hood). Is this the same one that you're using on the X-E4 35mm lens? I want to buy the same one for me but on the amazon link seems it is specific for x100v lens.
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to do the software functionality difference video between xe4 and xpro3? Or is it not a good video yet because xe4 doesn't have the final firmware? Thanks again.
i have always been drawn to the x100 for the simplicity of choice.
If you only got 1 lens, you learn to get the most out of it. It becomes natural that you know what setting has which effect.
That and yes, they are smaller.
Still, the ability to have different lenses for different occasions. That draws me too!
Nobody forces you to change lenses. ;)
agreed on the tape i will put that on when i get it
Please make review of the xpro 3 with the voigtländer lens or a summicron. 🙏🏼 Nice video by the way
LMAO that timer had me cracking up.
⚡️ great stuff
Very nice video, nicely summed up and compared the 3 cameras. Its also very interesting how Fujifilm thinks and is not afraid to experiment and at the same time some Fuji decisions are "interesting" there is always something missing in a camera. I think would be fantastic, if Fuji could make the X100V with interchangeable lenses, with IBIS and bigger EVF. this would be a THE RIGHT CAMERA for everything! :) what is your opinion?
I have been waiting for the xe4 for years it feels like. This will be the perfect travel and family camera for me as if I can flip the a screen and be in the photos and compose without the Fuji remote app.
Great video! You’ve helped me decide on the 100V 🙏. Love those straps where did you get those? 🍻 ⚡️
Thanks! Yeah, they’re from here: benjhais.ch/clever
Nice objective video. Awesome straps !!!
Thanks! 👍
⚡️⚡️
I have had the X-e4 for almost a year and just got the x-pro3. All because I initially wanted the x100v. I have tried to find an x100v at retail but have had no luck. But I can honestly say I am happy that I didn’t because I love the X-e4. I love the ability to change lenses and now want something with weather sealing.
I just rewatched this video to gain more knowledge on the x-pro3
The X-E4 design really reminds me of a Leica CL / Minolta CLE which I think is super dope.
🌩This is the third time I've watched this video... still able to gather new info from it. Thank you!
u know if u watch it in reverse too
u might get whole new perspective.
😁
This is super helpful and fun to watch. Thank you Benj! Now would you throw in the mix the X-T4 too? ;)
haha! I wish! It'd really be nice to have that and the X-S10 as well [which I think is probably the most middle ground of all of the cameras]
Very helpful.
The best is X100V because you don’t need to buy extra lenses and you don’t need them. Leaf shutter and build in flash is also a major target. Perfect camera for traveling, city, nature but not for wildlife… so as always a compromise but a good one.
Watched all the way to the end!⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
⚡️ Thanks for sharing your opinion.
Excelent video!!!
⚡️watched to the end
What do you think of the simulations on each camera, do they all look the same ?
⚡️ 😁 thanks for the video! Very informative!
You bet!
Love my X100V.. but don’t love the hoods people put on them. Less pocketable & that’s my priority. Love the idea of the XP3.. will try it one day.
I’m curious which lens hood is on that xe4 23mm f2. Which specific brand is that vented hood
⚡️I have been a happy user of x-100s since I got it new back in March 2013. Love the idea of upgrade to the latest, but this one is still more than enough for what I shoot. Besides, need to hold on to cash for when the mono version is available for purchase.
I know this has been up for a while but it's still a big help. My X100 is starting to show it's age so I've been looking at upgrading to the V but now I don't know if I want the x-100V for the pure shooting simplicity or the X-E4 for the option of lenses. I just love shooting with the X100. It's just such a great experience and the fixed focal length just keeps things so simple. ⚡
I don't understand why they crippled the x-e4 so much, no built-in flash (could be the pop-up kind), no focus mode switch, no back thumb dial, no grip contour. The x-t30 has all of those, but if you want the rangefinder style and interchangeable lenses, you're stuck with these compromises.
Hope the Xe5 gets the xt50 treatment of getting close to it's premium equivalent (which is the xpro series? So not sure how they might do it).
Have you been using your presets on these x-trans4 cameras or sticking to their own sims? I know you put a lot of work into them being consistent with lots of cameras. I own both your packs, and have an X-E4 on pre-order.
Hey thanks, Max! Yeah I have been 🙌🏼
Hi Benj Haisch. Thank you for the comparison. I was seriously considering the X-E4 + 27/2.8ii bundle until Fuji announced that the body wasn't WR (and I was already willing to accept some of the vital switches/dials/buttons they removed from there).
I'm curious about your leather straps attached to the PD anchor links. Did you have them customized such that you had them stitched permanently on it anchor links?
Thank you.
clever supply co makes those straps
@@mdougherty0980 Oh Alright! For a minute there, I thought Benj had his strap customized by sewing it permanently on a PD Anchor links. Thanks.
⚡Very nice review 🙂
Thanks ⚡️
Where did you get the leather camera strap?
Hope you get more exclusive access to Fuji’s camera body releases. GFX 100S! Great review and comparison as always. ⚡️
I’ve been asking around!
Amazing x100v with films simulations, ND filter, digital zoom 50, 70 mm, small and discreet
nice video! was that thunder?
