Your video is therapeutic for me. The calm vibe and voice has never failed to soothe my raging soul. It also inspires me to continue with photography even though I’m shooting everything with my iPhone 11. I saw an XE2 a while back that’s within my budget, but never went for it. It’s all because I find that I enjoy taking photos with my iPhone and there’s no need for a dedicated camera at the moment because I shoot for fun.
The possibility to change lenses is always a big advantage. For that reason alone, I would choose XE4.
You’re work keeps getting better and better! I really liked the photos from this one
Inspiring video and really pumping me up for traveling with my X100V thank you for sharing the comparison! Also the B Roll segments keeps getting better and better! 😮💨
Had the same question 2 weeks ago. End up buying the X100V... no regrets at all!! I loved the simplicity and build quality of the camera. For my needs it is perfect. Just wanted a compact but capable camera that I can take it anywhere.
Great explainer as alway, Faizal. I use the X100V alongside an X-H2S and honestly, you couldn’t go wrong with either if you are into Fuji glass. I prefer the 100V because I don’t have to think about which lens I want to slap on. I just grab and go.
The sights, sounds, and look of your videos recently remind me a lot of a woody allen film. I love it!
Really enjoyed the simplicity of my X-E-4 to the pont where I was going to put my XT-3 for sale. XE-4 with my 18-55 was my out the door kit. Then I started using my XT-3 again & the XE-4 is on hiatus. Better get it some exercise soon.
Your content is so smooth... So good... Love this channel

Some really good shots and a great video. Thank you for sharing.
Very creative photos! Wonderful job on the video as well.
Talk about good timing, have watched all your videos on these two cameras and am deciding between the two right now.
I own both the X100V and X-E4. They're great companions to eachother! Honestly use them both 50/50. X100 is great for everyday life and shots, X-E4 for everything else!
I tried both for some time and the deciding factor ended up being the feel of the shutter. The x100 has a leaf shutter- which has a bunch of advantages, but it also means that it is essentially silent and has no kick or haptic feedback, either. They include some sound effects so you can get a click or shutter sound when hitting the trigger, but they are really poor. Turns out I really like the sound and feel of a mechanical shutter, and I couldn't really get used to the x100v not having one, it just felt weird and unsatisfying taking photos. So I ended up with the X-E4, which has a mechanical shutter, and you can really sense a kick and sound when taking a shot, and I'm very happy with it. The sensors and film simulations in both cameras are the same, so the shots are same, it's all about the feel and utility of the camera, so it's well worth trying them out.
I fell in love with the X100. It's a mesmerizing little object and it makes you WANT to take photos. The look, the feel of its controls, its weight, the little optical viewfinder. Just perfect. But I went with the X-E4 because I can only afford one camera and I want to experiment with other prime lenses. It also has 90% of the charm of the X100 and has the potential to have 95% of the charm of the X100 with the addition of a fancy-pants silver FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens attached.
Sold my x100v recently, never really liked that 35mm eqv. No regrets at all. In love now with my X-E4 with either XF16/2.8, 35/2 or 50/2. For leaf shutter and real compactness I do use my Ricoh GR3. x100v was never really compact enough.
Got the X100V and love it, pick up and go, no thinking about lenses, but got my other bigger camera and lenses for other stuff. If you are going for a camera as your only system, then XE or another more flexible set up is understandable.
The video footage in the intro looked so amazing!
