    Note this is my daily driver I took out to show it doesn't matter what car you have. This was the final run of the day. I pass 5 cars in less than 9 mins. Tires gone, brakes gone and when I mean tires gone I actually had tread separate after this session. You can hear my drivers side tire literally coming apart.

    Why are people so surprised that a regular sedan can go around corners? How fast it will go around corners is mostly determined by how much grip the tires have, having a sports suspension will sometimes make the car go around a track faster if it's balanced differently to deal with understeer or oversteer, but not necessarily, it will only make it feel more responsive and sporty, it will give you more control and feel on the limit. It's been proven many times that cars that have an adaptive suspension where they can go from a super soft and comfy to very stiff and hard ride doesn't actually change how fast they go around a track, in fact, sometimes they're even slower because a softer properly dampened suspension will often give you more grip on bad surfaces, it can just feel wobbly and go to hell if you lose control because its harder to regain control in a soft car. You can even watch a top gear episode where they invested shit loads of money into a car, buying better aftermarket brakes, better suspension, bigger wheels and better tires, etc. and their car was slower than a stock one. ... you can't underestimate millions of kilometers and tens of thousands of hours of testing that stock cars go trough. Every single car you buy has gone trough more torture on tracks during development than you would ever think. So it's nothing surprising that a regular car goes around the track quite well when pushed hard and driven smoothly, it's just a question of how long it can do it, and how it feels while doing it.

    It is a VVT-I V6 DOHC 3.5 Liter... The 2GR-FE is a 3.5 L (3456 cc) version for transverse FWD mounting. Bore remains at 94 mm but stroke is reduced to 83 mm. Reported output varies depending on the vehicle application, but is approximately 266 hp (198 kW) to 280 hp (209 kW) at 6200 rpm with 245 lb·ft (332 N·m) to 260 lb·ft (353 N·m) of torque at 4700 rpm on 87 octane. This version features Toyota's Dual VVT-i, variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust cams.

People under estimate the power and potential of the Camry v6. There fast and good handling cars. • @iLuv4Play
      @iLuv4Play 9 років тому +3

      That is called a point-by, and yes it is a signal to go on and pass along the side they are pointing to. Normally the car getting passed will stay on the driving line so the passing car can predict the passed car's path. At Streets of Willow the front and back straights are the safest places to pass. These are track day events, informal, non-racing way to take your car out for some fun.

    I don't understand why you need to think you need a sports car to have fun on the track. Any car can be fun on the track, doesn't matter what type, as long you have fun. That's the main point in going to the track, to have fun with any car you have as he was showing us. RX-7 and 240sx as a better budget platform? Have you even researched about them, how much it costs to maintain them, let alone the parts, and I'm not talking about parts from ebay.
