Thanks for the complete videos! Good that you had the patience to wait for the results and post the whole procedure! Appreciate it!
Something I read, you might have better success rooting the top branches, as they have more stored energy than the lower ones (this regarding the Orangeola attempt) - worth a shot in harder to propagate cultivars.
A question, how come you didn't wait 1-2 months longer so that they drop the leaves and go dormant? Wouldn't it be less stressfull for the cuttings? Also the roots might have some extra time to grow stronger. I've tried myself some cuttings this year, but am a bit afraid to dig them up yet, it's still pretty warm here (54-74F) and I thought I should wait another week or two. Most leaves have been eaten by bugs or slugs, others went dry and fell. But most of the branches are still green and healthy and there's plenty of resistance when pulled, so I'm assuming that there are roots.
My Seiryu cuttings are still green and fully leaved, seems there was a 100% success on them. I was not misting them, so maybe that's why the Seiryu survived and the rest didn't, thinner leaves, less water loss through transpiration? (speculating)
    Greetings from Greece!

I am so excited to try! Can you plant them after the first winter?

Do you water the cuttings in the tub as well as mist them? Also do you drill holes in the bottom of the tub for drainage?

I only mist them, that provides plenty of water. Yes, I drill many holes in the bottom of the tubs for drainage.
