    You are NOT Installers. An Installer is anyone who can put ham and cheese between two pieces of bread. You guys are F.I.S. Factory Integration Specialist. What a fine system that was.
    "Simple" but packing all the goods. Thanks for sharing the video!!! On to the next one!!!!!

    Great work guys. Love the expertise and passion into getting it all better than good. I have a 2014 Raptor here in Australia and I wish I had you guys down here for a few minutes to point me in the right direction. Previous owner fitted a couple of Hertz amps, 4 new Hertz speakers and a Kicker Pro Comp sub, but the install left a lot to be desired. I've been chasing down issues for a month now but i'm having a little trouble as the factory DSP amp outputs tweeters and mids to the front and the previous owner only hooked the mids up and left the tweeter wires hanging. By any chance would you mind taking a quick look if I emailed you a wiring diagram and a couple of pictures. There are so few Raptors here and nobody really knows what they are doing here as all these trucks are fully imported and converted to RHD.

    Just amazing video showing the hassles of installing aftermarket equipment and blending it! Just curious, how much is the labor to install of this equipment? Also, what is the time frame to finish all of this awesome work? Great job Dean and Fernando!!

    • @AF_1892

      It is a labor of love. Get it right, ppl around a city hear it. They break in. All my vehicles. The red 03 Lightning wins for # of break ins. Short story: paying a big box store its cheap for a few months, then expensive bc a major wire comes loose. Prepared to get broken into. I have redone some friends jobs and shocked at how sloppy it is. It strains the other electronic connections including vehicle stuff every break in. If you can't do it yourself; PLEASE look for a place like this. At least 1 hr away from your home. Aftermarket place did a fancy alarm. Break ins grew more elaborate. Obvi the security stereo shop people knew just the right wires to cut to silence my remote key fob that normally goes off in my unit if it was touched.
      The sadistic last install has lasted for 15 years. Priceless.

    Hello sorry for bringing back a old video from the dead but I have a stereo question related to this truck because I own one. If I wanted to keep the stock radio but install aftermarket amps behind the back seat do I still buy the Maestro aFO2 kit shown in this video? If so do I just use the plug from the kit that has the high level speaker wires out, have that plugged into the stock amp under the center console, then ran to a LOC, then to the amps with RCA's? I hope this makes sense. Thanks as your videos are the best stereo install videos on You Tube. Trevor P.

    Quick question Dean and Fernando,
    I’m starting to map out and finish the second half to my new system in my 2002 4Runner. I’m currently running the new Alpine R series Alpine R-S65C.2 up front (1” and 6.5”), and an R series coaxial in the rear doors for fill. These are being run with an new R series 4 channel amp. Simple but decent. Not my old MB Quart set up from ‘97… but hey, I’m happy so far with this new Alpine set.
    But now it’s time to add a single 12” Sub in the back, and I’m not sure which Punch amp to run it with. I’m looking between the Punch P1000X1bd amp, or possibly the Punch P500X1bd amp. I’m leaning towards the Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 sub. And I’m not sure yet, but later down the line I may want to add a second of the Rockford Fosgate 12’s. But maybe the single RF P3 12”sub will satisfy my expectations for this vehicle’s system… we’ll see though.
    Any thoughts on the amp and sub combination? I’m leaning towards running the sub in a sealed enclosure at this moment, but that idea for an inclosure could change if need be.
    I know you guys are always busy, but I live in a super small town and the couple of shops are only open when I’m working. So it’s next to impossible to actually go in and get some professional advice. If you happen to see and answer this, thank you very much in advance. Cheers!!

      i have been running a 12" p3 for about 3 years now off of the P500X1bd. sub is rated for 600 rms and the amp although it says 500, actually puts out over 700. mine said 742 on the test sheet. this is in a toyota sienna, so a little more vehicle air space than you. in a ported box. been run at full tilt every day since install and it hasnt skipped a beat. hits harder and more importantly cleaner than i could ask for. unless you see yourself being a huge bass head, the single 12 will probably satisfy you for quite some time.

    • @jeffrines07
      @jeffrines07 2 роки тому

      @@cameron6471 thanks for your first hand experience with the P3 12”, while running the Punch 500X1bd. I’m starting to come around to just running a single P3 12” and I agree that it always seems that Rockford amps end up actually producing much more power than they are advertised at. Plus, the days of running three 12”’s and a single 15” in the bed of my first truck, a 1989 S10 pickup, are in the past 👍🤣. My hearing will thank me when I turn 50 in less than a decade.
      Quick 2 questions for your set up. Did you build a ported box? Or purchase a pre fabed one? And on you P3 12” did you run the double voice coil 2ohm. Or the 4ohm option? I’m figuring the 2ohm version… but you never know.
      Thanks in advance for your reply and suggestions 🤙 Cheers!

    • @cameron6471
      @cameron6471 2 роки тому +1

      @@jeffrines07 I went with the prebuilt and installed box/sub combo from rockford. gives a really clean look and is the 2ohm version prewired to 1 ohm. not the best box but definitely not the worst. a different box with a cylindrical port probably would perform better but I just didnt feel like I could sacrifice as much space as that would take up for my application.

    Dang it! Ya'll got my hopes up saying Lightning. I cherish my 03 Red Rocket. At lot of Ford Dealerships don't know how to do engine maintenance on them. Almost all the Lightning community is all about modifying engine everything. I haven't found another L owner who knows/has a major system. The video starts great. Kenwood/Excelon deck with a cd player for flac files. Rockford subs past 36 yrs. Tried Rockford mids with no extra amp. Just a small pioneer D class amp to the sub.
    In the Lightning I have kenwood single din heatunit. Mids are infinity reference (surprised they kept up) Rockford AB amp bolted to body of truck only acessible if seat is removed. I think its dying. Maybe one rockford sub is blown but I cant tell for sure bc I made the custom box makers seal the port. Kenwood mono class D amp. 1800 w. I always have a capacitor. Both amps have been shocked by a honking 2 Gauge wire flying loose from the cap. Quality products. If you street race or just drive hard, the amps have been resoldered by my inside out 3+ times each.
    Doubt anyone still reading but I learned how all this works in college physics. A Ph.D in town installed my first system when I was 16. As things went wrong he helped me w diagnostics. Also how to tell an amp is easy repair or poorly constructed.
    Im an independent MD now. Anyone who knows the L's wiring respond please. I want refresh of all of it but be able to cram a 15 sub into single cab is hard. New mid amp, not much room for a 8F cap I wanted. Usually I had at least 3-5F ones (common in the South) before. In Milwaukee best one I could find was a 1F. It held tight but not enough for a skull rattling song.
    My less professional email is TXmd2007 at g mail. I fixed most electric issues made worse by mechanic.
    THEY DID ALL ELECTRIC EVERYTHING LEAVING CAP CONNECTED WHOLE TIME! After undoing all the strange relay box things they did, (it did 12 psi whole life. Now it needs viagra only 8psi after they cleaned out supercharger. ) afraid to touch it and cause electronic issues. Have a salvaged wire harness even. Mine is hacked to pieces (so many Break ins) compared to it but I got tunes lights, wipers dome light weirdness fixed.
    If y'all were closer to Chicago you could review it and show people how badly a flashy vehicle can get wires messed up. I have short dinky videos on my channel if they haven't been pulled. A lot have.
    Edit: 90% of my patients are working age guys. I can help other states over phone. Most guys just suffer bc they dont wanna schedule an appointment in a clinic.
    I need your help and you might need mine! For real I need an expert to figure out the electric issue.
