@@WhoDWho They're making it so if you have 2 viewers or less then you'll be capped to 720p (I don't believe they've said anything official about that yet tho - just word on the street haha)

Honestly Twitch is dying and most creators are moving over to Kick so I personally am so grateful that you've started doing videos and tutorials for Kick. It's helped a lot.

Even if Kick doesn't have Bits (or well.. Kicks) yet and generally lacks feature due to beta, it is still by far the better choice for me, as I've just recently did my first ever proper stream on there and you can definitely feel the difference in regards of exposure - since, as a new Streamer on Twitch, you would just be a very very small fish in the pond with millions of other fishes. While on Kick I basically can be in the top 20 (or even higher) in a Category. It's honestly just such a greater opportunity to stream on Kick rather than Twitch for small or newer Streamers.
And in regards of the payout system, that's a big W on Kicks end. I hate how platforms make you meet requirements, even though it's money from other people trying to support YOU.

Its interesting that the only "bad" things that Kick doesn't do compared to Twitch, are stuff that Kick hasn't implemented yet, because of it being in beta. Imagine months or even a year from now, Kick implements most features that Twitch has, and possibly more... Then that "could" make Kick, on paper, seem like a much better overall place to stream on. Only time will tell...
We shall see!

I have the same setting on twitch for streaming at 1080 but kick makes me stream on 720 when I start stream.. do I have to be affiliated first to get 1080 or something

I’m in between kick and twitch. The tools and analytics that twitch has is unmatched. Kick is still a little buggy but I think competition between the two will make for a better platform for all.

One thing I wanna know is how to record discord while using OBS and streaming on kick. Like recording a group of friends voices in server where we could be playing rainbows six siege for example. Or hey even recording everyone’s faces as well if they use cams? Any help would be great 😎
As long as you're recording your desktop audio like the default audio settings for OBS then discord should automatically get picked up
On kick can I export my past broadcast to UA-cam like I could on twitch? Does it have the highlight feature ? 😊

You might be able to do it but I don't own a PS5 so I can't check or test anything :/ otherwise there's always the option of snagging a capture card and streaming via pc too :)

How's Kick for someone who is not as big in Twitch? I might consider going there (or YT) but I am very attached to Twitch.
There's definitely less competition on Kick so could be easier for you to go, however it still won't be a piece of cake, you'll likely need to create supplemental content like YT Shorts or TikToks

The only thing I wish KICK had ( maybe it will be in the future) is turning streams in to videos like Twitch. For example, if I watch a streamer playing Dark Souls and dis stream has ended i can still watch that stream later on that game. On KICK is only thoes who play live that apear.

The biggest reason I'm not jumping to kick is that Streamelements does not have kick integration (yet). All my overlays are there, including custom stuff I've done. I don't want to set everything up on another platform.

But you don't have to sit everything up on another platform, you can just multi stream from OBS and then implement that stuff when it's able to.
biggest advantaga of twitch over kick for me i that you can seperate the music from the vod in obs so you can stream with dmca music. as far as i know this is not possible yet if streaming on kick..

Honestly you can't really knock ads because ad revenue helps pay website use and whatnot. Also the monetization is likely to change since they are going to operate at a loss, once their twitch money runs dry, they will need to change the monetization model to be profitable
That's definitely fair! Would be nice to let affiliated streamers decide if they want to run ads or not though since they're already taking 50% revenue from subs. though I get that running ads on non-aff channels would make sense

I know Dlive tried to compete with twitch and failed I do hope Kick gets big enough to compete so I want to start steaming there but I heard png/vtubers don't do so well on kick and used to not be welcomed there. My biggest worry about Kick is chat moderation, Twitch has intergrated Mod tools that help protect smaller streamers that don't have assigned mods in their chat, I don't see anything on Kick protecting the streamer from abusive or toxic chatters.
They just added more chat moderation tools the other day

Sad the emotes were not mentioned. A Friend of mine started streaming on kick and they were able, even before becomming affiliate, to set up 50 Emotes. While on Twitch you need to be affiliate to just get 5 free emotes that are only usable on your channel, if i remember right.

hey quick question, why is my aspect ratio horrible when im streaming everything looks fine in obs but when i look at my channel on kick its absolutely horrible
Try changing your resolution settings in obs video tab
They changed it so that you need to unlock subs or have consistent viewers to use 1080p streams, after your first stream that is
Twitch is more overprotective of their rules about what their creators can say or do, but if someone gets falsely reported there’s nothing you can do but submit one appeal.
I'm hoping all this fire under their butts will force them to make some better decisions

Cody I think you forgot to add that Kick said they would come out with an hourly wage. I would love for you to go into how that works as I'm not sure what that means.
Nothing is set in stone yet so that's why I didn't cover it. Just a lot of speculation at the moment, but if I had to guess Kick will be doing that for select streamers and not all streamers.

my first and biggest issue with twitch has been the hypocrisy with their rules. i personally do not care what the rules are but they should apply to everyone, not just those that are smaller creators (you know, the ones making them less money comparatively)..secondly, i feel like 50-50 is pretty stingy. granted, the 95-5 kick seems too nice :b. i feel like the 70-30 youtube offer is the most fair/equal. i understand companies need to make money in order to keep the site running, pay their employees, etc, but 50-50 is an overkill. my next issue is the sponsorship rule that caused many to leave twitch to begin with. they supposedly reversed it and said sorry. but are they really sorry? or are they just sorry cause they got caught tryna pull a fast one on their creators? i took a bit longer making my way to kick. not only did the thought of starting over make me sad [nearly 3 years on twitch working hard nearly every day], but i didn't trust kick either. one platform was a hypocrite with their rules and the other seemed like their were no rules [which is not good, imo] :b. however, between the two, if i had to pick one, kick is seeming more promising. i have only been at it one day so far; but i am liking it.
my community and i can do without the extensions; but i will say the channel points were a nice feature as well as the hyperlinks and bold/bullet point text options for the profile. those are the two things i am missing the most; but again, not worth staying with a company like that over. oh yeah, and the vod export to youtube was nice too :b. however, i feel like kick will implement these things or things similar in a matter of time. for being new, i think they are doing a great job :).

There is no specific date to get paid on kik. You can cash out multiple times a month. You just have to wait for the cash to post to your Skrill account and however long it takes for skrill to send over to you bank account.

I think there is if you use an audio splitter, but it's too advanced to explain in the comments. Look up audio splitters for obs

On the surface, this seems great, but from a business POV, I have to ask WHY are there no ads on Kick? Like Ads are scaleable revenue that will be a massive earner for ANY platform...so the only reason I can think that Kick has no ads is cause no companies want to be associated with that platform... which from a Creator's POV is really bad cause it means you are extremely unlikely to be sponsored.
Likely just a way to entice people to switch to the platform for the time being, wouldn't be surprised if they implemented ads later
@@CpawsMusic from what i am hearing from branding companies (like Devin Nash from Novo), advertisers are actively avoiding Kick. I also read a Dextro article that Kick has just been banned in Greece for "providing unauthorized gambling services". I really hope Kick does well cause good competition benefits all content platforms, but other than the money splits, I am hearing a lot of bad things from the business POV.
So basically, the only point twitch got is from something kick is already working on

@@ACE-it3mz that is false, after hitting affiliate you'll only get paid on subs -- they're talking about adding an hourly fee but nothing is set in stone and will likely be for select streamers
its that telling us we can't multi stream and who and when we can upload our content to from twitch thats making me want to leave the platform altogether

The split on twitch isnt 50/50 unless your one of the top streamers. For everyone else whos affiliate or above the split is 70/30. Twitch getting the 70. Unless they just changed it back and im wrong. If so my apologies but i think its 70/30 right now unfortunately
The split on twitch is 50/50 for affiliates and most partners, some partners are getting 70% while twitch gets 30%. I have a video covering it
