After my video a few weeks ago, using the new Voodoo Gel stain shade 'Au Naturel' on some pine bedsides, I had a few followers ask what it would like on oak...so here it is!
I picked this bureau up at a local charity shop (actually my mum did!) and thought this would be a really good piece to strip and stain as it was in such good condition.
As always, let me know if you have any questions on the process. All the products used are listed below.

Thank you for this post. Just a helpful health tip
please use a mask when you're Sanding. thanks.
I see you have the vacuum hose but I think it's still a good idea thanks
It’s a dustless sander but thanks for your concern
Wow! This is phenomenal! I love how it turned out. Do you think the Silk paint would work on kitchen cabinets? I want to paint mine and would love a one and done paint.
I've painted a kitchen using SIlk - its perfect for it!
Hi Connie. Really enjoying learning some techniques and ideas from you! Could decoupage be used on the 'leather' writing pad? TIA Adrienne.
Yes it can!! My friend Laura has a video on it

@@faffdesigns thanks a bunch x
Did you wipe back the stain at all after applying?
I just allowed it to soak into the grain and worked it in using the applicator pad
Well done, loving this look of natural sanded/bleeched look, well I think it just looks very natural, hence the name I guess! 😂. One question, did u wipe the stain off at any point? the excess I mean, or did you just apply and then left it to dry, no buffing, no wiping off the excess?? Sorry, Just checking, I'm pretty sure u would have said if u did... but sucess is in the detail! Beautifully finished. ❤😍
Thanks for your lovely comment! No, I didn't wipe the stain back as it was absorbed very quickly into the dry wood. You can wipe back for a more sheer look or you can layer this for a more solid colour. It's a very versatile product!
Can’t we buy the products from you or give you credit somehow?! Also where can we get you donations or other tokens of appreciation for you and your work!!!
Aww that’s super kind of you - I don’t sell the paint products but I do get paid for my UA-cam channel so the more views and subscribers I have, the more it earns me 😀
