Hope u like it I got rid of mine not good on slopes and uncomfortable stance Traded it today for a farris, what a difference with the pivoting front end ease of operation like night and day
Got rid of mine today got the ferris what a difference with the pivoting front end I've only mowed with it a few hours now but everywhere where the scag would drag a tire while ur turning on a incline the ferris just walks right through it with ease. Never liked the scag from the day I bought it coming from the gravely the gravely was excellent on slopes the ground control levers operate with ease the ground control levers on the scag very hard to squeeze and very taxing only a couple of hours into it. The ground control levers on the ferris smooth and 5 times easier to squeeze..I'm so glad to be rid of that mower
Is it possible to get a quick video on grass flap?? I’m really considering getting one but I want to see one perform. I looked on UA-cam but couldn’t find any good videos on one performing. And plus I know you are very honest so I would like to hear it from you and no one else. Thanks!!
how hard is it going to be to change the mower blades on this? Since you need a socket on top and bottom.. That middle bolt looks like a nightmare to get to.
It’s actually the same setup as the VRide 2. I’ve always just used an impact on the top for the left and right and from the bottom for the middle. No need to use a wrench on top, just tighten until they seat, then a couple impacts and you’re good.
@@matthewsmowing I know it's only been 3 weeks, just wondering if you had a chance to try it out on some hills? If so, are there any issues with it on hills like the hydros breaking loose? More than half my mowing is on hills, and I was wondering if the vented cap might leak fluid on a very steep hill?
@@JH-tj9jd I have tried it, just the other day. It did very well on hills and I never had the slightest feel that it would break loose. As far as the vented cap, all of them have it, but it never leaked.
@JH-tj9jd they suck on hills I just got rid of mine for a ferris and everywhere the scag would drag the tire and slide the ferris walks right through it night and day difference

I talked to a scag dealer and he said basically they just made the turf tiger 2 into a stand up! And great background music!
I don’t know, the Turf Tiger 2 is a whole different machine compared to this. It is a solid unit though and a welcomed upgrade!
Anxiously awaiting mine to come in. I also wish they had a dual feed gas tank system.

Nothing more important than a dealer with real experience mechanics and parts 😊
And that’s a fact! 💯
Such an awesome mower. I hopefully will be getting one this season
Awesome! 🙌🏻
Thanks , great once over ! Great video! Awesome vride xl!!
Thanks for watching!
Smart that they made the deck lift handle longer. Terribly too short otherwise.
Just ordered the 52 with the 38hp kawasaki. Had 4 vrides and love them. Can't wait to add this to the fleet
Awesome! Congratulations on the new machine!
Great video! 👏
@@KujoYardwear Thank You! 💚
Nice paint job on that thing
looks like a beast.
Great video I was glad they came out with a new vride
Great overview!
Thank You!
Looking good!

Impressive
Metal sheet thickness getting thiner and thinner after each new generation.
Hasn’t changed for Scag in many years!
Hey Matt any thought into trying out the Spencer's flex chute for the V ride once they drop it which in assuming will be soon ?
I’ll probably stick with Grass Flap. I like the foot operation so your hands stay on the controls.

I have one on my Instagram and TikTok on the operation and comparing it to another flap if you’d like to check it out!
@@matthewsmowing ok sweet thanks so much!
Hey man did you buy the new scag xl stand on mower
This is a season long demo with the option to buy.
Where’s the hydro filter(s) on the unit…you didn’t show that…regards
At the 7:05 mark where I talk about the dual pulleys, the white canister near there is the hydro filter. Same place as the VRide 2.
With the standing platform being a little wider will the 24x12x12 tweels still fit it?
Yes, but they are now five lug rims as opposed to four on the VRide 2.
Does the deck belt automatically slide up & down on that dual pulley when you go from high to lower cut?
No, you just release the tension and slide it up or down.

Nice mower. You didn’t mention anything regarding the price you paid.
Retail is around $15,000 +tax
Why wouldn't they make it a dual feed tanks makes no sense
I prefer the switch personally. Using one tank at a time you have backup.
Wonder if Wright has a patent on it? 🤔
Exmark has dual feed
Could a fella cut 4 acres on one of those? Nice overview.
Absolutely! I cut a few larger properties and prefer to stand.
Does it have a stripe kit on it?
No, it’s all stock.
Is it worth the extra 4-5 k price tag difference compared to the regular vride2
Depends on what you need out of a machine honestly. The updated hydros were the biggest for me. Faster ground speed and better hold on hills sold me.

Exmark, toro, wright, walker. Anything else. stay away from.
I’ll disagree.
grassgroomer . i guess you are clueless about exmark and walker
