Hasn't Makita done that for a while now
@@CreativeNameChosen Yes, but the Forge batteries cool more efficiently.
Lol. Makita has been doing that for at least 15 years.
They stole it from bosch . I been having bosch 8 amps and 6.3 with cooling holes

@@ashplumber4689 Why?
@matthewsmowing because I said so
@@ashplumber4689 🤦🏻♂️
Very good blower hands down. Light weight and comfortable with plenty of power.
Is this why Home Depot 8.0 batteries are on sale ?
Probably not. They have battery sales all the time regardless.
Dammit, I now need a super charger
You can get a supercharger with a 8.0 forge for $349 and you also get an extra 8.0 forge for free.
@@kingofxbox7105waited for a deal like this before pulling the trigger on the forged series to replace my pair of workhorse clapped out 6.0HOs (which still work great) But I know the time is now if I want the upgrade. Put 300$ in my pocket🎉🤑
That 12 is probably 250 bucks 😂 those holes are going to be packed with dirt leading to a premature failure.
@@noelleonard2498 Other brands have been doing this for years with no issue.
@@matthewsmowing would just assume not supercharge a lithium ion battery. What you gain in time you will loose in battery lifespan.
@@noelleonard2498 Superchargers have come a long way. Phones, cars etc. supercharge with no significant damage to the batteries. I’ve been to the Milwaukee battery testing facility. Trust me, they’ve thought this through.
@@noelleonard2498 if you cant afford the battery just say that son. its okay.
I've been running Scag equipment for 10 years absolutely hands down the best Mower on the market. The only thing I see about buying a cheetah the price tags a little cheaper then the Turf Tiger and it has the high gear but if I'm going to buy a cheetah I'm going to buy a Turf Tiger instead. I sold my Turf Tiger and bought a Scag V-ride XL this mower has the same pumps and wheel Motors as the Turf Tiger and I've noticed I'm getting my yards done quicker equals more money😂
@@jimmybeech5223 The XL is something else! Can’t beat the efficiency of a stand on unit!
Once your vride 2 gets up there in hours you should trade it in for a jackal since you have the xl.
That thing lays em down!! Hey I gotta question for you, what GoPro do you have I want one it don’t know where to go. Thanks.

They can keep their garbage battery technology. The only batteries they make that are worth buying are the old m18 5ah and their new m12 5ah high output. Everything else they can shove up their backside WITHOUT VASELINE!
Im having an issue with mine blowing grass out the front of the blockers, its leaving a gap between it and the deck. Do you have this issue?
@@parrlawnservices I haven’t had this issue with mine. Do you have the poly or steel? If you keep it closed for an extended period, grass will start to shoot out. Make sure that the flap is adjusted to fit flush against the deck.
I’m considering adding a Vride 2 to my fleet. All my others have Kawasaki engines. Have you tested both Kawasaki and the kohler command pro? If so which do you prefer? I have no experience with the kohler command pro.
@@adamwester10-41 I used a Kohler Command 38 HP all last season. It had good power and consistent torque. Kohler has improved the “weak points” of the past and they’re on the right track. Overall I still like my Kawasaki the best, but wouldn’t hesitate to run the Kohler.
@@matthewsmowing Thank you for your input. Do you believe the Kawasaki fx691 22hp will be sufficient on the Vride 2 with a 48” deck?
@@adamwester10-41 For just routine mowing, it’s a decent engine. If you plan to add a bagger or mulch kit, it will be underpowered. All depends on what you want to do with the machine.
@@matthewsmowing I appreciate your input, thanks man.

@@briankelly2257 Thank You!
Thanks for great info Matt. I have a unique question. I am in the market for a mower and really have my eyes on a Scag. I have 15,000 sf of yard to mow. I’m debating between the SFC30 and the 32” VRide 2. I know they are wildly different mowers, but I can’t make my mind up. Of course I would love the VRide but it’s incredibly expensive and I think it could be overkill for residential use. I need something small because my gate is 35” wide. My wife is pushing for the VRide to reduce the time I’m working in the yard, but I think she’s under appreciating the other items I’m going to have to spend money on for taking care of the yard. For personal use on a flat Bermuda yard like that, would you be content with the SFC30 or would you want to have the VRide regardless even given the cost knowing you’re not making money off the equipment. Thanks for the informative videos.
@@dmurski21 If it was me, I would look into the VRide. The SFC isn’t a bad machine and I used one for a couple seasons. But, for the size of your yard, I’d go with a ride on machine.
@@matthewsmowing Thanks for the quick response
I just purchased this. It's no joke. Worth every penny.
Which model is it? I need to knock down some tall weed.
Let’s hope they fixed the BMS in these Forge units. The 8ah and 12ah HDs are notorious for getting out of balance.

@@D4V3.0H Considering it was brand new when I took this video, yes it did work! Also, if you look close, there’s grass on the mower deck… 🫢
I prefer the turf tiger 2. But I haven’t got to test the cheetah with a suspension seat though, which would probably be pretty nice.
I had the one without casters and HATED it. I’m 6 ft 230 work out everyday and it was pain in the ass to move around . I could get the same yard done quicker with my snapper ninja
I want to get one badly! Is there any real difference between this and the Vride 2?
