With what you attached the isomalt to the butter cream? I heard we can't attach isomalt directly to the buttercream is it true?

If you skip to 4:15 you will see how I simply push some of the isomalt structures into the cake. I also use wooden cocktail sticks, which I have also shown in the video. Look out for them and you will see :) Thanks so much for watching!

Can we use anything else other than silicon mat for isomalt decoration??

Yes, grease-proof paper/baking parchment (not wax paper) is fine. Remember to place over a heatproof surface as the temperature is super hot! ❤️
