- The First Presidency released a new Temple film this week. It welcomes those who have come to the Temple to receive their own endowments. In this new film, the First Presidency presents information to inform everyone who has come to the House of the Lord to receive their own ordinances. Each of these inspirational stories was shared with us by our Listeners. The Lord is involved in each of our lives. We can each learn to hear and recognize His voice and feel His love for us. He inspires us to help His children or sends heavenly messengers to accomplish His divine purposes. You can hear the Word of the Lord.

When I join the church At the age of 13, Cecil Broadbent was stake president. At that time state conference had 2 sessions. He always spoke at each session. I was surprised that he could find so much interesting material to give 2 talks. About 20 years after I joined the church Mom and I went to the Provo temple to perform the ordinances for her father's grandparents from Switzerland. Cecil's brother Lynn was my German teacher. I look earned enough German from him to translate the German records. President Broadbent was the sealer. It was such a pleasure to see him again and to think about one of my favorite teachers.

Did the release of the new film happen this month, November 2024? I haven't heard anything about this from any other sight...
@@michelleperkins6628 I was released on November 5, 2024. It is only viewed by those who are there to receive their own endowments and their escorts . The 1st presidency is who actually explains everything in the film.. It won't be seen by anyone else but the Temple Presidency and those there for the first time.
All of these stories are very comforting. I’m listening to them late on Saturday night in my bed, looking forward to the Sabbath. This man has a comforting voice.

I have been blessed to understand the way the Holy Ghost speaks to me. It is an amazing gift. I listened to this video with an open heart waiting and watching for the confirmation of truth by the Spirit as each story was read. I felt it for every story except the Casey’s story of the cowboy. I never know why of course, but the important this was the presence of the Spirit for each of the other stories separately.
I’ve had some experiences that were similar to those shared here. I keep them in a journal dedicated solely to miracles in my life. God is real and works in our lives in very personal ways!!!
What a wonderful gift it is to have the companionship of the Spirit. We can know the truth of all things . Thanks for sharing

Yes, a glorious Sabbath temple dedication attended to today for the Deseret Peak Utah Temple. The western sky was fiery red lining the mountain tops as we drove home.

I still like the old movies, but I’m ok with the new ones too. I guess I just loved the way it was when I went for my own endowment back in the good old days, 1991 😂. It is good to know that there’s a film for those going for the first time. The truth will go forth boldly, nobly, and independently…… until the work has been completed.
We have a long journey to accomplish that work. Thanks for being part of it

Brother Merrill, I recently founf your site and find beautiful, sacred feeling lisening to the stories given. I live in Ontario Canada, the Toronto Temple is my temple, I have had several special experiances there.... one time I was in an Endowment session with my parents, while sitting waiting for the session to beging I felt a very special spirit filling my soul with such unexpressible love which encompased me, then my mother, who was seated on my left, then my father who was sitting to my right across the aisle; I was so impressed with this love and in my mind asked.. "who are you?" the young woman came back with "I am your sister Karen". Karen died at 18 hours old when I was 2 years old it was souch a marvelous feeling to know that she was such able to come to us and let us know she was with us and loved us. My mother never saw her when she died so whem mom passed through the veil we know that she would now know her daughter Karen.

The Scriptures warn us of things about our leaders we can't see,

Never in the Bible or any Mormon Scripture can you read of a prophet, apostle or prophetess saying these words,
I promise.
For to do so would make themselves instead of God.
Promises are only made by God Himself never by man throughout all the Sciptures except, Nehemiah 5:23 and Joshua 9:21, where man made a promise for a negative outcome.
So, we see from Scripture man’s promises result in a bad outcome.
Beware of the promises made to you by man saying, I promise, in behalf of the God of Jacob, the Scriptures warn us.
...the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation...(2 Timothy 3:15)
If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

Sweet stories but not to down play Bro and Sis. Broadbents story but I'm just trying to understand why primary children were being taught on the other side because in gospel library we are taught there are no children in the spirit world. All spirits are adults there. Unless they have primary for adult spirits. Thanks for sharing.
Their spirit may be in the shape of an adult but they are still to be raised to adulthood during the Millennium. That would indicated a youthful perspective. I'm certainly not an expert on what happens on the other side. I hope you were able to look past this issue and enjoy the spirit available in these stories.

Just trying to see and understand clearly because I've always understood that our spirits in the spirit world are adult spirits and in the millennium we will have the opportunity to raise our children who have died in mortality up to adults. Yes, I loved the story and it's goodness just trying to figure that out. Thanks for sharing these nice stories. So uplifting. Glad it was a comfort to the Broadbents, that's what matters.
