Thanks for the updates. Wish you had time to make longer videos. I found you after buying an R710 on Ebay and searching for firmware update videos on it. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks Buddy great video..
Recently upgraded from a HP DL365G1 with 32Gig ram. to a HP DL380G7 with 30G ram.
    I'll make some Videos shortly...
Asked my mate about Dell R720's but all the 720's he had had no Drive Cages etc. and where only setup to connect to San.
But he had the dL380G7. and it has 8 3.5" Disk Bays.
So running 120G SSD boot, 2x 15k Sas for Swap / Scratch (raid 0), and 5x 720G Sata drives in Raid5 for VM's / Storage.
Server is running Windows 2016 Datacenter (cost me $12 NZ) (Ebay) So far no issues. running Hyper-V 8. etc.
Server running my Workload a few game servers + mail server (vm), Webserver (VM) and test VM's + my PFsenese Firewall VM.
Pulls 90Watts... (only 1 CPU right now .. but plan to upgrade from a Quad Core to 2x Hex cores in the Future.

Dumb question but is all this hardware just for play or is it a business use?

Nice, but why did you get rid of the old sans though?

Old and outdated and slow and power hungry these 3 Dell Servers only pull 450-580 watts where as old server were 550+ idle
