Sweet video bro!!💯👍. I Recently found your channel and I’m getting Into networking. What i’m trying to get set up is a Cardano node and other pos nodes. I wanted to ask you if you had any recommendations for the hardware and server type and networking gear to get that set up? And lastly what security would you recommend?? Thank so much for your time and videos!! Btw I’m a new subscriber!!👍

Sure can! What would you like to see regarding the plex?

God, would love an MD1120? Though I only have a small rack; needs to be extended to accommodate a single 1U rackmount server (only 16 inches deep), so never mind a dual controller storage array.

Great video as always man ! How’ve you configured the EdgeRouter to the USG ? I’m guessing the servers are in the DMZ and the home side a separate subnet ?
Look forward to future videos .

Yesiirr!! The Edge router is isolated. There is a OSPF connection between the USG and EDGE router which allows connectivity from the home network to the lab network and wont affect any kind of connectivity issues. :)

GNET Data Center Cool . So how does the home side see the server side ? Are you using VLANs or is it just one entire network .
I was thinking that only public facing servers where meant to be in a dmz ?
Where do the cables go as they come out of the EdgeRouter ... one will be for the WAN , do the other two go to the USG ?

VLANs and OSPF which is doing routing, the services can be accessed from both sites of the Home and lab network. I have NSX setup on my host allowing me micro segment the network and limiting services to certain VMs and VM networks. So it is a Virtual DMZ - I am doing a direct route from A - B which only goes to the specific IPs and not through the whole network. The Blue cables on both USG and ERP are WAN coming in, the REDs are a OSPF route/connection and the GREEN are LAN

Nice video and setup! What are you using for a firewall?

Currently - ACLs on my USG and Edge Router. I did have a virtualized pFsense vm running as a firewall with two dedicated nics for LAN/WAN traffic.

just wondering. How many females are in your classes? I still am floored by the lack of women in IT even in this day and age.
