So if you wanted to in beach and grass can you hand set near your chin?
Watching these guys talk about lifting..but you’ll never see any of these technique they talk about in the Olympics
Very nice and interesting video guys! One question though kinda off topic. What do you do in a case of a ball coming from up high, after the receive? Hand set tends to become kinda difficult in this particular scenario and bump set seems fairly easier for an amateur to intermediate player, like me. Any tips 😛😛?
Hand sets will always be more accurate and easier for your teammate to read for their approach as compared to bump sets. The only time bump setting is strategically better than hand setting is in windy situations. Not because it’s easier to set, but rather because the bump set will cut through the wind better than a hand set and it will be easier for your partner to hit.
In summary: practice hand setting high passes. Don’t shy away from it n
If hand setting seems too difficult, and bump set seems much easier, then bump set. You answered your own question.
Or try making hand setting less difficult by spending time on practicing all those different situations with high ball.
So if a attacker does a hard attack, and the ball touches the ground of the enemy side, but in the downwards motion shortly after, the attacker hits the net.
Whos point is it ?
The play is technically over once the ball is down, but the closer to simultaneous contact it gets, it will rule in favor of the net instead of the down ball.
@@nickcraddock6622 Thats what i thought thanks mate.
@@Ayceeis it should be noted that only rely on this ruling with a proper referee (ideally both an up and down ref). If you are self ref’ing then the easiest and ideal thing to do is just call all net violations. Without a ref dedicated to watching the play and blowing a whistle there is no way a self-ref’d game can discern the millisecond gap between a down ball and a net touch. It’s best to just not even attempt to go down that path.
@@pro-v7500 you are so right. In a call-your-own-net honor system, you better call all net violations when you feel you touch the net, otherwise no one wants to play with you anymore.
If ball lands on the ground before net touch, the net touch doesn't matter because ball is already dead.
The first thing that happens is the key, and the fauls happened after dead ball are irrelevant.
If you are not able to tell what happened first its a double fault and the rally should be replayed.
Volleyball is such a stupid sport. The rules arent clear and its up the feeling of the ref
