I need to replace my CR10s for a high speed printer. Since I don’t buy anything with less than 300x300 bed, K1 max is the only option. Thanks for the comparison!

I rooted the machine and did some proper input shaping witch made the ringing and ghosting about 80% better, not gone but better. The VFA got better by doing the Voron belt tensioning method. I have 320 hours on my K1 max now and its as good as its going to get with this unit, I'm getting by with it. I have about 100 hours printing ASA and that chamber does get hot, i have seen temps from 50-60C depending the height of the print. I own 3 Bambu printers and 6 AMS units with 1500hrs between them with no issues since day one, just regular maintenance. The K1 Max is no Bambu and thats a fact in build quality, and print quality.
It’s interesting as a consumer to come across two videos regarding the K1 Max in a couple of days both from what I would consider to be reliable sources and have the experience and opinions on the device be so completely different. I’m referring to the Galactic Armory video on the K1 Max which I think even mentions this channel in the video.
For a few months now, I've been researching which 1st printer to buy around my 50th bday this Nov. I made a comment in one of your videos (and others) that it's down to the P1S Combo and K1 Max since they are similarly priced with the K1 Max slightly cheaper with discounts and free shipping here in Canada. With only room and budget for 1 printer, I chose these 2 since it takes up less space than a bedslinger (have to account for the bed moving back and forth and screens that are way off 1 side on the slingers). The enclosure let's me print a wide range of materials. They are both fast and produce great quality prints. I am really impressed with your textured helmets without those layer rings on top. So, it really boils down to what are the things I will print the most which TBH, I still don't know as I want to print multi-colored things for myself, toys for the kids and to give as gifts (keychains, magnets, signs, light boxes, etc). But I also want to print cosplay stuff, not only for myself but for my kids too. The biggest future project is to print R2 and 3PO costumes for my twins while I dress in my Sandtrooper armour, so I can finally say, "I found the droids we're looking for!" 😂 Better if my wife dresses as Obi and I print parts, combined with cardboard, to make the stroller to look like a speeder. I don't think the latest Bambu will be larger but it makes me think again. I can buy the P1S Combo now and IF I can get a 2nd printer, it will be one of the budget "Plus" bedslingers. OR buy the K1 Max, and wait for an AMS for it or buy the new Bambu if the price is below $500. Still have at least a month to make a decision.
The guys from Bambulab are going to give us some news on this 20th. We still don't know what is it. Pretty much all of the issues were the earliest models sent out of the K1. The K1 max had an upgraded extruder and that was also offered for like 2 dollars to the K1 users to fix theirs. The new K1 shipping out I believe comes with the newer extruder. Other than that the only main issue with the K1 series is some people are getting broken glass when shipped but that also happens with the bambus. I watched your first review of the K1 and you basically said it was crap and you wouldn't recommend it. Now all of a sudden its a great printer and you like it. What changed???
Hey, nice writeup. However, I want to point out that, the K1 has a significant advantage over the stock P1P in the materials it can print out of the box. It's also, been discounted with bundles at 499 fairly regularly, so it's often a fair bit cheaper. I do agree though, that when they are the same price, if you don't care about more specialized filaments, the P1P is the clear winner. I have a K1, and It sometimes feels just a bit too small.
@TheCalaudio I use Orca Slicer, but out of the box, you won't get better quality/speed than with creality's slicer. But creality slicer prints really well in my experience. If the print quality is really bad, check your print head. If the clip for the bowden tube is blue, you have the old extruder, and if the sleeve on your hot end is black, the old hot end. Some people report significant under extrusion with those.
I so want to try the k1max I just worried about the sound since I live in Korea and in apartment. I don’t want to be rude to the other people and give a bad impression
How about a video on general maintenance and upkeep for these printers? I'd really like to get one, but the design looks like it wouldn't be as easy to work with as an Ender or the like would be
Great review, may i ask if you can print IronMan helmet as one piece, then the back and face Also then later the suite in Bambu Lab P1? Your answer will determine if I will buy one
Now looking at your video again as I am in the market for either a P1s or a K1 max. I don't really need AMS as i paint stuff and the K1 max does look interesting to sit next to my N3 max. I saw so many bad reviews for the K1 so think i'll skip that hence the K1 max.
Also I am curious what features in a 3d printer can you not live without? For example, Wifi, auto leveling, lidar? What features do you find the most useful for efficiency and quality of life
Question: I have been printing for about 1 1/2 years so no where near an expert yet but slicing is the bane of my existence. I picked up a K1 Max and I love the printer overall but haven’t been able to figure out how to slice using the Creality slicer; e.g. the slicer freezes. I want to switch back to cura or any other slicer software but I don’t want to lose the functionality of high speed printing. Is this a sacrifice I have to live with if I print in any other filament/use any other slicer besides what Creality recommends? I hope this question makes sense…
How about print speed? I'm debating between the P1S and K1 Max... can you tell me which one prints the fastest (with the same quality so obviously not at max speed)?
Ran across the K1 Max video and now watching this, it’s really sold me to get it. My Ender 3 Max neo just isn’t cutting for speeds. I’m having to split a basic helmet into 4 parts and those parts are still taking upwards of 2+ days. Seeing how it can print an entire helmet in 20-25 hours blows my mind. Do you have specific setting for the helmets you print to speed up the printing? I feel like I could adjust something to speed mine up a bit
@@cameronjohnson8520it’s almost a chore at this point and I had one fail last week 40 hours in. Heartbreaking. I’d rather something fail on the K1 max and know I can easily restart it and have it done again in less than a day

Just got a Sovol SV06 Plus as my first printer, and I'm really tempted to return it and pay extra for the Creality K1 Max... Feels like there's a huge difference between them.
Thank you for a clear and to the point review. I was considering buying the Kobra Max but the enclosed k1 max enticed me due to me having to have the printer at my homeoffice. I am thinking fumes, microplastics and such. I am going to use it primarily to print cosplaystuff. Is it a manageble printer for a rookie or is there another large bed printer you recommend? I will check out your etsy-store too. Have a great day.
I’ve been working with a Dreamer NX and an Aquila D1 and I’m just about to pull the trigger on a P1P once a payment goes through on my credit card…. Then I saw the video and the giveaway…. OMG can’t wait to hear when it’s going to be.
You didn't mention anything more about x1c carbon. I was looking to buy it. The bed being small is my only concern. Far as features and materials it sounds the best over all as a one time buy and no need to upgrade

Now looking at your video again as I am in the market for either a P1s or a K1 max. I don't really need AMS as i paint stuff and the K1 max does look interesting to sit next to my N3 max. I saw so many bad reviews for the K1 so think i'll skip that hence the K1 max.
Would you recommend the K1 Max or the new Anycubic Kobra 2 Max.
Wanna buy a new one in December and can’t decide.
I have an X1 Carbon but have seriously considered the K1 Max because I need a bigger build plate
Also I am curious what features in a 3d printer can you not live without? For example, Wifi, auto leveling, lidar? What features do you find the most useful for efficiency and quality of life
Question:
I have been printing for about 1 1/2 years so no where near an expert yet but slicing is the bane of my existence.
Try OrcaSlicer it's the best one currently out. It's actually the slicer that Bamboo uses.
Thanks to tiktok I found this channel... these printers look epic I wish I had any of em. So far I have a ender 3v2 that's it
Now that the k1 max is the same price as a p1s with ams. Which would you recommend, i can’t decide because multicolor vs build volume…
What do you recommend to make big cosplay props and small miniatures for dnd, table top games
How about print speed? I'm debating between the P1S and K1 Max... can you tell me which one prints the fastest (with the same quality so obviously not at max speed)?
so close to that 1 milli, time to sub on my alt accts lol, early congratulations!
I feel like I could adjust something to speed mine up a bit
you and me both brother. time to retire my max neo.
@@cameronjohnson8520it’s almost a chore at this point and I had one fail last week 40 hours in. Heartbreaking. I’d rather something fail on the K1 max and know I can easily restart it and have it done again in less than a day
@@L0NGH0RNS77 that is one of the main advantages of having a fast printer , failures hurt less because prints take less time
Great Video!! Thank you will wait for Xmas or Black Friday Sale for a K1 Max
Pro tip my guy- whatever editing software you're using, find the Normalize Audio button. Otherwise, thanks for a helpful comparison!
Great to see competition in the market that isn't just about cost.
Ask your buddy what he did to make it look better. I'm intrigued by the thought of making these machines run better/less noticeable layer lines.
I would bet it was printed slower on the outside perimeter, faster speeds can make normal filament look dull.
After I watched this video I ordered a K1max. Don't let me down!
Congrats on the upcoming 1 mil you deserve it ❤️❤️ idk if you watch Ashoka but Enoch’s helmet looks sick I don’t see anyone else making it, would love a vid on that 🙌🏻❤️
I'm the 1 millionth subscriber!! 😄

Witch is the easiest to level ?? and has the few's problem ..and best support ??
Is any of these good as a starter printer or not? If not what do you recommend?
What does the k1 max sound like. Is it pretty quiet compared to standard Ender printers ?
Have you looked at qidi xmax 3, really interested in this one.
Franky! Love you bro, amazing machines!
would be very interesting to see a comaparison with the Qidi xmax 3
About two weeks ago, Amazon had the K1 Max on sale for $708.11, so hopefully we'll see that price again.
Would love to see a comparison vs the Qidi X-Plus 3!
Just got a Sovol SV06 Plus as my first printer, and I'm really tempted to return it and pay extra for the Creality K1 Max... Feels like there's a huge difference between them.
How about the slicer software for both creality and bambu lab and is there any other slicer that can be used.
Arent the Elgoo Neptune 4 Printers a good choice ? They are compared to these printers.
Man I just got the k1 max and it’s awesome
The p1s is 2 times the price of the k1 max in my country , which should i take?
would the size of the k1 max be worth it over the p1s with ams?
Congrats on 1m
Looking at getting the p1s have you used it? if so any tips on it? Looking to use it for cranking out wearable helmets
Excellent comparison 👍
I like this "review" ! I wish you had a Voron and also considered commenting and comparing on that :) Great video :)
Corona are cool but IMO it’s a waste of time now to build and dial them in when these exist. No point anymore
You're the man! Where can I get the P1P enclosure file? I know it's not a full enclosure but it looks awesome!
thank you so much for everything you do your the best
One question after a big thank you for the channel and effort, can we print more than one cooler with it somehow?
Would be interested to hear how you rate the Qidi X-Max3
Probably too old to get a response but what did you use to print the Mjolnir? I can’t decide if I need anything bigger than 256mm…
They just added a new iron man armored adventures helmet on do3d, please do a review on it
I don’t really review files haha
It would be great to compare bambu mini with other bambo product, thanks
I just bought a P1P do you think it was the right choice over the P1S I’m only gonna be printing PLA and maybe some TPu
Sure
How did you make that enclosure for the Bambu labs printer? The red and yellow looks good.
