Bought this as a wet winter jacket in Canada, I wear it with my battery vest for snow removal, I love this jacket it does everything they promises and looks good doing it.
I counted and I've now seen the ad of you standing in front of a shed full of logs saying "Straight out of the bag this is really, really nice..." 976 times this week 🤣
Reckon it is worth the cost? Can’t find a mm rating for it, but their waterproof rain shell (their hard shell) is only rated 10k which seems low for rain jackets at that cost. If not the baerskin, what would you recommend? Love the review, that shit takes me way back
It's decent, I haven't got wet in it but I don't treat it like a hill walking jacket ,, I'm not out in continuous rain etc, I'm in and out of the woods so it's not full rain. If you keep an eye on the channel I should be getting a new one to test
Weird because the review says the product is disappointing, so I wouldn’t buy it based on title alone. The ads make it seem like it’s one of those scams
Any company that calls layering childish goes against decades of cold weather research conducted by the US military and also backpackers and mountaineers. Layering, particularly using underlayers of wool, saves lives
I would really like to buy the waterproof one, but I had such a bad experience with my purchase of the 2.0 that I am just afraid to step out on that limb again. I believe that the BaerSkin 2.0 Hoodie was THE WORST GARMENT PURCHASE I'VE EVER MADE. I bought the hoodie in 3X and the body fits fine. But the arms on mine were made for some pencil man, they are stretched tight on my arms from my wrists to my shoulders so I can't wear it over a long sleeve shirt. I see your jacket's arms (and most other reviews on UA-cam) look baggy. And the hood on mine is apparently made for a 50X hoodie as it hangs all the way over my head down to my chin. No adjustment on the back of the hoodie to adjust how far over your head it goes and mine seriously completely comes down to the bottom of my chin completely blocking my vision of anything in front of my feet, rendering the hoodie unwearable for me. I can get NO RESPONSE from their customer service. And from what I've heard from others, returning it is virtually impossible as you will pay more to ship it back to China than you paid for the hoodie and then they still might not refund your money.
I’m definitely interested in the softie, me and the Mrs have the tactical 3 hoodies and they are fantastic. Just not waterproof. Hope the waterproof jacket is though 😮
Highly recommend keeping to review/feedback when you title a video “Review”. This video would have been better titled something along the lines of “Soggy Teepee setup and disappointment with the weather”
It's a good looking jacket, but in the commercial for this product you can see the jacket absorbing water. I doubt it's actually waterproof. More like water resistant.
I bought one 13 days ago and haven't received one communication on shipping/tracking. Even if it arrives, I will never buy from them again. But.....during those 13 days, I have been bombarded with 16 email advertisements and 12 texts from them trying to sell me more. I definitely will be unsubscribing after (if) my jacket arrives. From what I hear they are made in China but I bought socks from China and had them shipped to me in Eastern Canada in under 10 days.
I ordered one of their t shirts and a Storm Rain Jacket ordered the jacket in 2XL but according to mu order email it appears a small size. Emailed them 4 times about this no response whatsoever
Fn stupid commercials they have all over UA-cam. Sorry but fleece does not keep you warm when its really cold out. Stupid northface company started all this crap
Utter junk, my brother bought one and it leaks water through after about 20 mins in heavy rain. Soft shel jackets will keep you warm and dry in a shower of light rain but not heavy or persistent rain. The hood is shapeless, restricts vision and aggravating.
Baerskin has reduced the price of all its products because buyers understand that a great rain jacket *needs* pit zips, which none of its jackets have. They are scrambling to offload everything before crashing.
Tbh mate, youre nuts if you think you can get a good rain jacket for under £300, im a tree surgeon so my needs exceed most people but rain jackets ive bought for about a hundred quid haven't lasted a day working in the rain, plus the durability when you are climbing through a tree, i ended up spending 450 quid on a hunting waterproof jacket and it was well worth it, i think this is one of those times where its better to spend big in the long run if you have the money
when I was in the Mountain rescue teams even the 300 squid plus gear would take a full day in heavy rain , theirs a big difference in a 50 quid water proof and 350 quid one
@RedBranchBushcraft i once bought a peter storm jacket for 80 quid, the nect day we had very heavy rain but it was just felling and removing little cherry trees, not climbing or anything hard, but the rain didnt let up and by about 1 oclock the jacket was sodden inside and out, the material was waterproof but the stitching was useless on that thing

I'd like to know how it reacts to heavy rain...great video
@@Jonathan_Knight it's been ok so far but then I haven't been in prolonged rain, but then I don't think it's that type of jacket

Lololololo, no way! That's crazy

@mcgritty8842 no I said it was a disappointing review because I went out in the rain to test it and it and the rain stopped
I think dropping the pole in the middle of the teepee woulda been easier...
It's really awkward to get back up
Carhart storm defender! That jacket won't with stand to much abuse! Bearskin is all hype I see that now.
ive yet to give it a good test but its hard to beat a carhartt, but i havent tried their waterproof stuff
The difference is that this jacket is Tactical (concealed carry), whereas the Carhart is equally amazing, just not for tactical users.
@@GrabASnookieCould you expand on that? As I what has a tactical jacket got to do with concealed carry?
Where did you get your hat ?
Amazon, it's a trespass wool hat, about 6 pound
We rarely get actual rain here, so I bought mine as a snow shell to keep melting snow off a jacket underneath
Good idea
Not getting how the jacket is " Disappointing Wet Weather Test ". Easy up on the chatting as this video length could be cut down 2/3rds.
It wasn't wet enough, chatting is what I do best
