Awsome job Wooly 👏!! Greetings from USA you do great on these reviews man!! Keep it up.😊
Cheers buddy
Good review boss! I work outsdoors, I hill walk and do the bushcraft thing. Irish rain is insidious,it sneaks in!
I was out yesterday for 3 hours !
Science is never boring wooly
Lol
and just orderd Sarma green Anorak yesterday, cos of your vid! will be with me soon, hopefully i will be satisfied! Love your style!
The windproof anorak? It's great , such a value product, I paid 150+ for something similar from a bigger brand and it was shite
Yeah green windproof from them, one you reviewed, hope will love it! looks great, cant wait, is already on the way
I LOVE MY BEARSKIN SOFTSHELL WATERPROOF JACKET 🐻 10/10
Great to hear
two things bother me about this jacket:
1. a good jacket, but trousers get wet, so you'd need a set.
2. with prices like these, there shouldn't be a big advertisement on the jacket.
(i still prefer the old swiss army rain-set (hat, jacket (convertable between jacket and coat), trousers). if you don't go for a swim in the clothes, you stay dry all day (except you move a lot, it will start to accumulate condensation ;)
ALSO what i'd expect from the more expensive outdoor-clothes: some info about how to take care of that thing; like "with which products" one could renew the insulation aso. mostly, it's "try and error"
The logo on the back is an issue with a lot of people
Another great vid bud! Not a bad looking softshell for £160 but not with that awful branding on the back. I'd have to get shot of the velcro battle patch backings too
Every one says the same about the branding, I'll pass it on
Its been a wee bit wet out over the last few days. 😂😂😂
Just down moving stuff, I'm expecting red branch to be flooded by tomorrow
The whole point in softshells is that they're much more breathable than membrane based materials like Goretex. If they don't have a membrane then they are not waterproof. If they do have a membrane then they're not very breathable. So the idea of a softshell waterproof makes little sense unless they've come up with some novel technology, like say Paramo have, and even they're not truely waterproof in the say Goretex is. Baerskin don't mention what waterproofing tech they are using other than mentioning a DWR. DWR isn't waterproofing it's just surface repellancy - works for a shower.
Could be
I would have preferred button closure on the cuffs rather than Velcro but seems like a well made jacket..Is it warm??
It's warm enough for this time of year in Ireland, I find myself wearing it a lot
@@RedBranchBushcraft Thank you
@MrBlessed70 my pleasure
may i ask is the Jacket Wind Proof like they clame i'm thinking about buying this myself i ride a Harley i'm looking for something to stop the wind ya know??
Lol, I don't know if it will stop the wind on a Harley!
Im curious, does everyone in Ireland keep a keg of beer in thier backyard?
Go Bruno!
Lol, we get one free every week, stops us from taking over the world
Nice one. My wife thinks we are related in some way as I do daft shit like that just to see if a jacket really is waterproof. I did the same with my Wynnchester bedroll, using it in a night when it was lashing just to prove it was waterproof….🫣. It was btw. All the best. 😂👍
Lol, doing mad stuff keeps us sane
Looks really good. How does it compare to your Hilltrek Ventile stuff?
It's good but you can't compare it to ventile , two very different things
Do you think its actually waterproof and would stand up in torrential rain?
Or is it a stronger water resistance
In my experience nothing holds up in torrential rain except something rubber , like a heavy poncho. I've had this out in heavy showers and it's been fine
@@RedBranchBushcraft They make ocean drysuits out of Goretex - designed for people with waves coming over them or even falling in the sea. Goretex membrane is 100% waterproof if intact. You might sweat in them but they can definitely keep rain out.
Cheers buddy
What’s the price point on these bad boys? Hopefully can find here in Australia…
Never mind found it
Nice one
Stihl frosty.
Good man Bud
Too expensive
Cheers buddy
this is not how you test waterproofs :D:D
How do you test a waterproof?
@@RedBranchBushcraft Perhaps his waterproofs go with the nappies that he still wears?
Now now Thomas
idk how you test, just know how you dont :D@@RedBranchBushcraft
it was just funniest one when you stood and stood in a rain, epic :D
Scam
Cheers buddy
U r a wannabe
thanks so much for your wonderful comment
