Thanks Heath! Tuesday next week is our day! Quick question... what is the best way to catch rainbow runners (phenomenal sashimi)? We see them around the boat sometimes, and tend to drift small bait (small minnows, etc) on a small hook, and get some hookups, but is there a better way?
Nope... You're doing it right. Sometimes they bite, sometimes they don't

Oh boy... I'm ready to get back out there... Haven't been fishing since January 1st
I thought snook season closed May 1.
Gulf state waters it did... These guys are east coast.... Season is open February 1st to May 31st
