11:29 About 25 years ago, I found a spot similar to that (only 4x larger) in an unused area of a National Forest in Texas. Loaded with awesome fish. Not visible on Google maps. I've been taking my kids camping and fishing at that spot for 20 years, and never came across another human being. We keep it totally secret. Wonderful times and memories!
Thats from being taught by ole timers to be quiet. Now i know why, not to scare the fish, which it may, but more importantly, shut up and enjoy the tranquility of fishing away from society
He's the next Virgil Ward . Virgil Ward was the first fishing show ,that started in the early 1970,s . He had a song starting every show. That Roland Martin Stole . That said he will fish anywhere, The world of Virgil Ward.
Hello! By some kind of coincidence I started watching this particular Bass fishing 🎣 fella & he impressed me soo much with his perfectly placed casting expertise & the way he carefully released the fish 🐠; I couldn’t help but continue to watch! This was a First for me But I Do Love fishing 🎣 ever since I was a kid! It’s been a long while since I’ve gotten to go! I saw the title to your fishing Spot & had to watch! Besides I Love being in the woods surrounded by Nature is the Best‼️ Sorry! Just background stuff! 🤷♀️ I just got almost 6 minutes into your Video & Noticed after immediately catching a Chain Pickerel(Rare fish 🐠 I’ve Never heard of) that you just Tossed it in instead of Carefully Releasing it⁉️Wouldn’t it make a Huge difference if you Carefully placed it back into the water⁉️If any of this is Totally Wrong 😑 for you, I understand! It’s just a thought! Happy Fishing!
Brant I can’t thank you enough for teaching me how to improve my “fish on”. I’m an Ohio boy, which means a lot of pan fish like crappie and blue gill, plus all the catfish I want. I do run into my share of bass but just watching you has really taken me to a whole other level in knowing where and how to land larger fish. I also just love after all this time and probably thousands of fish, how you still get excited to see what is on the other end of that line. That giggle that you do when you have a “fish on” and when you voice goes to that falsetto always makes me smile and happy. I can’t wait to make a trip down your way and experience the panhandle for myself. I also love how you vary your videos with catch and cook, go pro drops, beach fishing, boat fishing in open water, canoe fishing, and even this “mud hole” fishing. It never is boring and I continue to learn great techniques. I would love to see you make a trip up to the Great Lakes to see how you would do. Thanks again.
Some of my most favorite types of videos of yours! I love finding new places to fish while exploring, and love seeing you give fresh water fishing some love!
I live in Florida too, and have fished and hunted all my life! I am a devout sportsman and feel uncomfortable if I am not in the woods or on the Gulf or creek/river! I enjoyed my visit with you and hope you have enjoyed it as much as I! Age has just about shut me down and it is killing me! Good fishing my friend!
Great video. I love how you get up and grind making these videos. This is the fishing I did in my younger days. I used to spend my lunch breaks during the day on my sales route hitting mud holes just like this one picking up a few fish just for fun. Please keep bringing the fresh content.
When I was stationed in Fla, Homestead AFB, I found the unusual areas were the best fishing. I brought that mindset back to Texas with me. I find creeks under the freeways hold good fish.
Love his content started off a beach bum fan way back in the early days. Found his videos and now I prefer to watch him his heart seems to be more in it these days. Keep up the great work brant.
Love the channel!!! This is my favorite video. I love going out and exploring fishing spots like this. Your away from crowds and you don't know what you may find or catch. For me, hiking or biking to an unknown spot is all part of the enjoyment of being outdoors and fishing. Keep up the awesome work!!!
Deer season is still open for another 2 weeks in Florida, rad little spot but would be in your best interest when it comes to safety to have some Hunters orange on in that area. That area is a WMA both on the Florida side and the Alabama side
Love it! Thanks for changing it up a little. How about checking out Escambia Bay near Floridatown Park and also the channels and canals around The Swamphouse Marina near Scenic Dr and 90. Boy it looks fishy on both sides of the bridge. Thanks.
i love finding these "hidden drains". As a kid, I would walk to a nearby park and fish the drainage ditch on the other side of the road, I caught massive sunfish all day long.....so fun
Thanks for the video, reminded me of when I was a young teenager, and my grandfather took me to places like this to fish in Kansas. We dug up worms in his garden and would catch fish in the most unlikely places.
Its a brushhog.. Im always looking for hidden & or hard to get places like this to fish. Except I'm trying to get my kayak in it. I just found a smaller lake a few weeks ago I had to cut a path so I could cart my kayak to it. I always keep my DeWalt battery chainsaw & sawzaw with me.
Do more videos like this. It's different from what we're usually seeing, and that makes it a plus! I said to my wife when we first put it on, how I think you would have benefited much if you would have had some kind of waders on, and in a few moments later, you said it yourself. We both got a chuckle out of that. That's the kind of fishing that I used to love to do. This was way before I think even UA-cam may have been out, or may have just started. I used to love to go fishing in Pennsylvania where I grew up, in a pair of hip waders, and maybe just a few choice spinners for trout, just being out in nature by myself. I got so much enjoyment out of that. I now live in Florida. Waders are a definite must, especially out in the swamps because of the wildlife. Not to get off subject, but I did comment on your previous video of about a question I had with your real estate business. You never got back to me. I know you're busy I'm not holding it against you, but I was wondering should I just try to email you for something like that? Again I don't want to put a strain on you to have to get back to me if I do, but if that's the way I should go about it either let me know, or I'll just do it on my own sometime. Appreciate what you do Brant! Tight lines and reel-drag screamin'! As always, God bless!
Brant I saw you had a fishing rod in the bed of your truck and I was thinking don’t pull a “Bill Dance” and snap off your rod tip! Great video. Love doing and trying different types of fishing.
As someone that has not fished back country FL. why is Brant so afraid of snakes? There are cotton mouth snakes where I am at also and they have never tried to bite me. Some even swam right next to me, and nothing. What am I missing here?
very cool and exciting, Brant! It would be awesome if you were to get a kayak in that place! I can only imagine the top water bite, frogging or buzzing.
I love ❤️ fishing 🎣 but haven't been because of my knee surgeries on both my knees and back. Somehow I'm going to get back out there and fish one day soon. Thanks 👍 😊
Brant, a little heads up on your e-bike. Never ever charge unattended. Some brands of batteries are inferior chemistry and thus prone to “ thermal runaway”. Aka vent with flame. Loved the video
A little history for you Brant. That lake used to be up to the road, but over 50 years ago some jackwagon dumped garbage in the overflow and it caused the dam to wash out at the area you showed the water going over the road. I caught my first bass on a Rapala right at the same place you caught several bass at. The pipe at the bottom of the hill is the original overflow. This area was known as Rainwater Pasture, and this was Rainwater Lake.
Glad to see you appreciate the Chain Pickerel. I grew up catching them on Cape Cod. They put up a good fight and they are quite tasty if you get rid of the skin and bones.
I really enjoy your videos I have fished places and be like I'm gonna get hung, I'm not gonna risk it all the while I'm casting thinking I don't need to try this, laughing I can't help it. Glad I'm not alone.
Now this is more of my jam than the beach. Also Google Maps satellite images is pretty much the greatest invention to hit fishing since the boat. I have found so many places like that using it.
What a Beautiful,Natural place to fish And All the different fish you caught⁉️I’m Surprised at the Bass you caught⁉️Soo Fun to Catch a Variety of Fish‼️🐡 🐠🐟 Great workout for sure, getting outta there!! 😂 It was Fun‼️See ya Nxt time! 🙋♀️ BTW:Where are you??
You should head up to Byrnes Lake on 225, just north of Spanish fort! It’s on the way to Bay Minette. That place is loaded with bass and pickerel, as well as my personal favorite, Bowfin! TONS of bowfin there and they’re incredibly fun to catch. Especially on topwater. They’re big there too.
Love the impromptu adventure into the pines. Yes, it looks really “snakes” in there, but thats ok by me. I love reptiles. But damn, I’d bet cash that there is an 8lb largie or even bigger bowfin swimming somewhere in that nice little puddle. Looks like it’s quite unfished too👍🏻…..
Brant was using a crawdad imitation called a Baby Brush Hog......I love using those because they always work anywhere you go. It's a great scouting lure.
One last cast!! If i had a dollar.....ive only caught 1 chain pickerel in fla and that was in west, west Boca Raton in loxahatchee fish camp. Im not even sure its still there! Good catch!!!
I always find Chain Pickerel in the swamps adjacent to the Susquehanna river. They’re suck an awesome aggressive fish. I’ve caught them on Rapala broken back minnows, bass jigs and mepps spinners.
Brant I just want to let you know that your viewers feel cared about. Your effort for us does not go unnoticed and I thank you for it
😂SYBAU
Here too. All the way from ILLINOIS.

I love seeing pro fishermen like yourself say " just one more cast" like we all do. Great video! Thanks
Glad I'm not the only one who will automatically drop down to a whisper when fishing alone and talking to myself. Always have. 😂
Thats from being taught by ole timers to be quiet. Now i know why, not to scare the fish, which it may, but more importantly, shut up and enjoy the tranquility of fishing away from society
😂😂😂😂 yeap.
Brant is the King of finesse! He can catch something anywhere he goes - nice vid!
I'm a live baiter..biggest sunfish for bait,nice surf pole,heave it out there...bait and wait...

Theres nothing id rather be doing than fishing. It is the only time i feel content 110%. Every Time
Some of my most favorite types of videos of yours! I love finding new places to fish while exploring, and love seeing you give fresh water fishing some love!
Gotta love our State! Countless spillways and natural creeks for fun fishing both fresh, salt and brackish!
Waders for sure.Theres probably lots of hidden pools in the creek system there. Thanks Brandt!

Good place to come back in the spring and bring your kayak

Very fun to watch a dude catching fish and enjoying life!!
Love the variety of the different types of videos you have been doing this winter . Keep up the great work 👍
That's a beautiful little place out of the way and peaceful. And to top it all off good fishing.
Deer season is still open for another 2 weeks in Florida, rad little spot but would be in your best interest when it comes to safety to have some Hunters orange on in that area. That area is a WMA both on the Florida side and the Alabama side
Great change of pace video. Thanks.
Wow Brandt that was quite the adventure! Florida has so many cool crazy waterways to wet a hook. Appreciate your efforts!
You're completely right, nothing like the thrill of finding a new fishing hole with actual fish in it!
Another awesome video Brant!!!
Great video Brant thanks for taking us along. Don't forget to plug you bike in...
Love it! Thanks for changing it up a little. How about checking out Escambia Bay near Floridatown Park and also the channels and canals around The Swamphouse Marina near Scenic Dr and 90. Boy it looks fishy on both sides of the bridge. Thanks.
There is really an amazing place!!! THANKS A LOT for such awesome video!!❤❤❤❤❤
Great show. True fisherman. Would like to hear a little more about the equipment you use for each trip. Keep going
You make it look so easy and smooth 😊
Love finding good freshwater spots you can bank fish. Cool vid.
Found this little gem the other day with my kids. Definitely going back.
I enjoy all of your videos, Brant. Looking forward to the next one too.
Loved the change of pace. Great video man
i love finding these "hidden drains". As a kid, I would walk to a nearby park and fish the drainage ditch on the other side of the road, I caught massive sunfish all day long.....so fun
That's really fun exploring new areas and just taking limited tackle. Places in North Carolina like that area you found that were full of fish.
Thanks for the video, reminded me of when I was a young teenager, and my grandfather took me to places like this to fish in Kansas. We dug up worms in his garden and would catch fish in the most unlikely places.
Great place! Thanks!
Awesome video! I have a few honey holes like that.

Hey I appreciate it. My email and contact info is in the description. That’s the best way to get a hold of me for real estate. Thanks!
Great video Brant! I enjoy fishing new and different places! Watch out for the snakes and gators!
Brant I saw you had a fishing rod in the bed of your truck and I was thinking don’t pull a “Bill Dance” and snap off your rod tip! Great video. Love doing and trying different types of fishing.

A really cool Adventure 😊👍👍👍
I love ❤️ fishing 🎣 but haven't been because of my knee surgeries on both my knees and back. Somehow I'm going to get back out there and fish one day soon. Thanks 👍 😊
This video reminds me of a little creek near my house. I hiked through the woods and caught a three-pound bass a half mile from the main lake.
Nice spinning reel,like this🎣
That was very interesting 🤔 and a cool find using Google earth, something new for me to try congratulations.
Great vid, talk about out of the way. Im also surprised you didn't catch any invasives.
Awesome video looks like you had a blast ………..nice bike !
Excellent dude 😎
Turn your rod around when walking, especially in the woods! That way your tip won't run into something and possibly break. Great show!
Love this video ia GREAT!!!

Now this is more of my jam than the beach. Also Google Maps satellite images is pretty much the greatest invention to hit fishing since the boat. I have found so many places like that using it.

Those were some nice bass!
You know you are dealing with a true fisherman when you here "Ok time to go home. Nope nevermind one more cast in my first spot" Lol.

I’ve never been but thinking about trying black water in Milton. Can you video a segment there?
Cool video. Maybe release the ditch bass back into the main pond. Ditch may dry up in summer.
oh WOW
Huge wild fish bro
Brant was using a crawdad imitation called a Baby Brush Hog......I love using those because they always work anywhere you go. It's a great scouting lure.
That would be a good place for a catch and cook.
Inspiring video Brant!
I'm on Google Earth now looking for similar stuff here in Indiana
