Your channel is so informative, I’ve loved learned so much about CAAs! One question I have is what’s it like working in a hospital? Does it ever get lonely or quiet? Do you collaborate with your team a lot?
it’s never that quiet. there’s always some kind of noise especially in the OR. it does get a little lonely bc we’re usually in our little area behind a drape. at my hospital my anesthesiologist and i collab in the beginning of cases and basically that’s it. the job is a little isolating, i try to stay busy with my phone or reading a book. hope this helps!
Nurses are very negligent. But honestly why did she even have privileges to override vec? Who gives versed to somebody getting an MRI? They are elderly and most likely it was scheduled. Should have been oral Ativan due to age. Did this order go thru a pharmacist? If so only the verses drawer should have popped open. The visls are completely different and vec has to be mixed. She def deserved jail. Sick of all these mistakes.
Based off of the info that is out there about Radonda. She was not in a rush -> the pt was claustrophobic and wanted medication to go under the mri-> she was only assisting the nurse who was caring for the pt by getting the pt's medication (bad practice) -> she overrided everything in the medicine cabinet -> proceeded to reconstitute a paralytic vs a commonly used an oral sedative that does not require reconstitution which she should have been familiar with at her point in her career the insititution that she worked at is known for malpractice and sweeping things under the rug. I think the culture there allows bad practice and cutting corners based off the info. They attempted to do the same thing with radonda which was sweep it under the rug

Hey… Question is it possible for a person who has completed a 2 year bachelor degree from an accredited university be accepted into an AA program?
