- Popular in cities like London, Paris and New York blind dining is now also a big hit in Vancouver. The Dark Table restaurant in Kitsilano is a fine dining experience in complete darkness. Guests are led to their table in the dark by blind or visually impaired servers. With a 70 percent unemployment rate amongst the blind and visually imparied this inventive idea is a great to way to offer much needed jobs and to provide a different kind of dining experience based on savouring - not seeing. myVancouver eats Episode #428. I took my husband last night for his birthday, and we both thought it was a really good experience. Not only was the food great, but our server Dustin was very helpful and made the experience that much better.
It was a great experience. The food was great and my server Rose was so friendly helpful and funny. Totally recommend it.
Going tomorrow and I am super excited!
