Love your weeds! -I follow the same philosophy. My newest adoration is the henbit is a pretty little dog faced flower. Don't fight mother nature & allow a few weeds (wild violet) to grow and they will choke out the more unsightly weeds. I've done this with my front beds & it works great in an English garden spirit without much work.
Thank you so much for showing me the Tithonia last yr. I am growing and loving it. It's my absolute favorite. I have almost the exact same flowers as you, I'm in Rocky Mount Virginia.
I just found your channel and I must say, I love the chaos of this garden!!! The beauty of it all❤ I live in 7b Virginia so it’s nice finding someone close to my area
It is wonderful to hear your enthusiasm and encouragement for others to simply try new things. Throughout several years, I have had many (failures) that turned into lessons learned. No matter the outcome, I continue to give it my best effort. Sometimes, the outcome is amazing. Thank you
Oh my gosh sorry about the flooding woah. I winter sowed blue forget me not last year- 20 cent dollar store seed- I was in love. I need more of that color! Also if you have never planted any red marigolds they are heaven. One more suggestion- winter sow strawflowers they are wonderful in bouquets. ❤
I just loved this video!! It was so nice to see all the flowers during winter! I grew African Daisies from seed last year, by winter sowing them of course and they were the first daisies I've ever had success growing! They are really cool with a purple center instead of the traditional yellow. I'm going to give Mexican Sunflowers another shot this year, but by winter sowing them. I tried direct seeding them before and had zero success, but your winter sowed ones are inspiring me to give them another shot. :) Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful garden!
Loved your video ❤ just a heads up on 4 o'clock s found out u save the root its like a tubor gives you large plants the next year thay all make its easy! Keep up the great content 🌺
So pretty! I gasped when I saw your garden flooded out on Instagram. But now I'm kinda jealous because we are so dry here in Western Oregon and it looks like your garden benefitted from it. Can you believe I'm having a hard time growing tithonia? Lol. I think it wants to come live at your house. 😂
I am glad I found your videos and love your garden. I have Bee Balm in my garden that gets powdery mildew every year as well as a black Crape Myrtle that gets the same thing. This past year I tried using baking soda mixed with water and a little bit of dish soap. It worked like a charm and got rid of about 90% of my powdery mildew issue. It probably would have worked 100% if I had been more diligent in applying more often and did some pruning but I will definitely be using it this year before the powdery mildew takes hold.
Lovely, Kim! I have marigolds (started from seed, winter sown) also, but planted between my tomato plants. They keep insects off the tomatoes. I had what looked like tomato hornworms on my pimento pepper plants, but not on the tomatoes. Interesting use of tomato cages. I use them to keep the deer off my baby redbud seedlings, and sometimes turn the cage upside down. Cool peach raspberries! I have Becky daisies, and they spread like crazy.
Always look forward to your garden tours! I actually would love your help with some winter sowing advice! I am planning on growing a native pollinator garden for next year entirely from seed using the winter sowing method. I would love to know what native perennials you’d have success winter sowing. Would appreciate it!
Just finding your channel and enjoying the tours. I’m very curious about your greenhouse. I love the look of yours and think the size is perfect. Could you give a little tour of it?
I’ve used milk on my squash plants to combat powdery mildew. It will smell bad for a few days but it really works. I know it’s too late for this garden but it’s something you can try if you have this problem in the future
Tell me more! I didn't plant much of anything food wise because of this issue last season and I sure missed it. I don't want to mildew again though. Looking forward to hearing how you applied this, how often etc.
Wow and I thought I had it bad with all of my neighbors runoff. My neighbor could not understand why I would build a barrier (garden bed at the fence) to control the water flow. His yard was not my concern because he has the largest plot with no trees or landscape. I refuse to live in a swamp.

Thank YOU! 😊
Sorry about your flood. Looks like nature is undeterred! If I was a bee I would totally sleep in flowers tooooo!
It looks gorgeous! I love the sleeping bees!
I forgot to say hyssop is one of my favorite perennials! The smell is amazing and so is the bloom time. I love the blue fortune variety
So pretty!

Thank you so much!
You can use old broken blinds if you cut them to size as garden markets.
I actually did but I went and bought a pack. They were six dollars and saved me so much money. I have more tags than I can use in two years.
You have a beautiful seed garden.

Beautiful garden!
Forget-me-not is on the invasive plant list in several states.
Hi Kim! what do you grow in your greenhouse??
I LOVE watching your videos.

Thank you ❤ I was just wondering, if you had a video on how you designed this
I created a video of my planting the bigger bed this year and what I do to lay it out. I’ll post soon.
@ thank you, I can’t wait to watch it ❤️
So my friend decided to try when clipping back the suckers to top them off, cutting so she has another plant instead of tossing them.😮
What plant did she do this for?
I'm going to try this with my peach suckers. Then once they grow big enough, I'm going to cut them down and graft better peaches on them.
The for get me knots can be dried and used in dried wreaths or arrangements
Can they really? They are just so pretty and dainty! Thank you for telling me!
