Catnip and fennel tea saved my premie son back in 1986. My milk dried up by the time he came home from the hospital, so he ended up on formula. After 1 month of constant colic and projectile vomiting, the doctor wanted to start him on Gaviscon. I switched him to Carnation evaporated milk and Karo syrup with added liquid vitamins, added 10 drops of catnip and fennel tea to 1 ounce of water twice a day...within a week, he was thriving and had no more colic or vomiting.

I wish I'd known that with my eldest, she had horrible colic, we changed the formula milk about three times, eventually finding one that reduced the colic. I used to give her diluted chamomile tea and that seemed to help too.

Honestly that Hops Tinktur advice has made my life so much easier. My mom has chronic pain in her wrist after a pretty nasty fracture. Not only the Tinktur reduced her need for pain medication to almost non it has also calmed down the joint inflammation to where she has just about full use of her hand now. On top of all that I use it on my back and my my migraines have gone down from at least once a week to maybe one a month. The quality of life we gained with something so simple is just amazing.

Your liver cleans itself just fine. If you're feeling like it's not doing its job and cleaning its self properly then you should see a doctor and get tests done to make sure your not suffering from liver damage or failure. Eating some roots and leaves wont help you if your liver shuts down.

If I had my life to do over with.... I would have loved to have been an herbalist. I wish I had learned more about herbs, before I let doctors mess my life up. I had two doctors that ruined my health by having surgery. The first doctor didn't take out my right ovary, my right fallopian tube, and he messed up my colon/ intestines. A few years later I went to another doctor, because I knew there was something wrong. It was getting worse over time. He did a check up and told me everything was fine. Two weeks later my right side was hurting so bad. Went to the ER and they did a cat scan. They told me I had a big tumor on my right ovary. I said, wait a minute.... I don't have a right ovary. The doctor didn't remove it. The 2nd doctor didn't catch it on the ultrasound either. I had a hysterectomy and they had to fix all my intestines from where the doctor messed me up from the last surgery I had. My life was bad enough because of all of that. Then my thyroid went crazy. Then I went to a new doctor 2 years ago and she put me on some medication that ruined my heart and lungs. For a year and a half I tried to tell the doctors that something was wrong and they wouldn't listen. I had never had problems with my heart before I took that medication. Then a year and half later( this past March ) I had a heart attack. I'm so sick of doctors messing me up. I think modern medicine is great for certain things, but not for everything. I wish I knew something I could take to stop pain without it hurting my heart, my lungs, or my stomach.
