One thing a person would be surprised by is that the 9mm typically has a good bit more kinetic energy from a longer barrel. 230 grain .45 barely picks up any extra velocity past 5 inches of barrel while 115 grain 9mm picks up a lot of velocity. The demonstration here shows why momentum is just as if not more important than energy.
For a sub gun, pcc, pdw. The 45 is the way to go over 9mm for a dozen reasons. 1) subsonic ammo does not reduce lethality. 2) ANY ball ammo is very close in energy and velocity. I’ve crono’d nearly every brand I can find and it’s all within about 50 fps. 3) not reliant on bullet construction for terminal performance. 4) 45 acp is lethal to a greater distance than 9mm approx 175 yards vs 100. (I’m talking about energy foot pounds at distance) 5) if I want 10mm ballistics and terminal performance I can use 185 gr +p+ hard cast. (Actually more energy than most off the shelf 10mm) The list goes on. Also, people fail to realize that any improvements in bullet construction that made the 9mm hollow points as lethal as 45 ball ammo has been made on 45 acp hollow points as well. I’ll take the hit on drop (as I know my holdovers at distance) and capacity (25 vs30).
Hitting objects and evaluating the kenitic energy on them (based on the amount of movement) was the basis for the 1905 army pistol ammo tests, which resulted in a heavy bullet of at least .45 caliber coming out the winner and led to the .45 ACP 1911 adoption. So its not surprising that the .45 ACP in these tests did so well. However we now know that velocity can have better stopping power on 4 and 2 legged things rather than just a slower large heavy bullet. That said I just enjoy .45 ACP more due to its natural subsonic nature with a suppressor.
always great time dealing with dtt! never seen someone go bowling with a gun but im sure the buddies would love to come out and try it with the 45 kit!
Lol this is a cool Video and I remember Bowling Pin shoots I was involved in several Decades ago a little different lol. I love my Slab Side and carried one for years but getting Older I’ve downsized to a 9mic and found it’s a little lighter and easier to handle and with the amazing choice of ammunition now even a .380 is devastating. Great Video Guys stay safe and Semper Fidelis
@@DeltaTeamTacticalMedia oh absolutely my little G19L is pretty smooth and lightweight and I only run 10 rounds with a spare to balance out my Old Ass lol..
Delta Team Tactical has been my go to for some time now and Rifle Bowling looks like it would be a hoot! Can't wait to WIN the Tuck45, finish the build and give Rifle Bowling a ROLL!
Built 8 shofar this year 7.62x51 X3, 5.56x45 X3 , 7.62x38 X2 1x 5.56 & 1x 7.62x39 pistol's W/ 10.5" barrels sure would love to add .45 ACP AR to compliment my 2 1911 .45 ACP pistol's GI and officer model's. Tuck would be a perfect compliment to my setup
I have the 45ACP Foxtrot Mike PCC. Without a doubt, I prefer the 45ACP because of the controllability of the cartridge as well as the fact that I pair it with my Glock 41MOS. Same mags, no confusion. I just have to stick to factory Glock, PMag and ETS Magazines to avoid compatibility issues with the lower. It's the modern day Tommy Gun.
Umm... a strike followed by a 5 and 3 means first frame with 18, not 17. regardless, the muzzle energy probably matters most here, even though the 45 does have a small advantage by being wider. :) Seems like this should involve binary triggers, drum mags, and 3 frames in a line, but at further distances. :)
The result of this was kind of a foregone conclusion. I wonder if some ammo manufacturer would care to try to come up with a 9mm sending a 200 - 230 grain bullet at 800 - 1000 ft/sec. Or would the physics just not work? By the time you seat the bullet deep enough to get the max OAL, would there be any room left for propellant? And, with the reduced diameter, expansion characteristics would be paramount to effective terminal performance.
I really think you have started something with untapped potential here with rifle bowling. I make sure to watch every one of them. I really look forward to the next video each time. Its a great way to introduce the world to your company, the people that work there, and the products you sell. Very well done and thank you.
I have to say the 9mm because it's lighter and a faster flying round then the 45 me and my buddy did the same thing with 223s about 200 yd the key is aiming low at the board
I would LOVE to win this upper! I have a AAC TiRant that would go perfect with it! I can't find 300blk subs anywhere... and $2 a round, and besides, 45acp expands better at Subsonic speeds anyways. And besides, a 45acp subgun is COOL

The .45 was impressive. Bowling pins are fairly heavy so that strike gives you an idea of the kinetic energy ofbthe .45.
Never heard of rifle bowling, I would love to come on here and give the acp a few rolls down range!!!!

guys, i have a small question about .45 acp pcc , why guns company didn't produce .45acp pcc so much then 9mm pcc ?
Interesting. Need to try that myself when I win the 45 tuck!
always great time dealing with dtt! never seen someone go bowling with a gun but im sure the buddies would love to come out and try it with the 45 kit!
Y’all know how to have fun!
That we do
Thanks dtt I appreciate the video it really helped me see the difference please keep up the hard work you guys do
The 45 was very impressive and I would really love to try that
So a dedicated 45 calibre lower is required
Lol this is a cool Video and I remember Bowling Pin shoots I was involved in several Decades ago a little different lol. Very impressive 45cal results. Positive experience with this video.
Need to add rifle bowling to my range day activities.
Delta Team Tactical has been my go to for some time now and Rifle Bowling looks like it would be a hoot! Can't wait to WIN the Tuck45, finish the build and give Rifle Bowling a ROLL!
Good to see this video I've been wanting to shop with you guys again 😎
Starting to Look at the .45 ACP and loving what I’m seeing with the Rifles
Just ordered a 45acp pistol from DTT , I will be the Pistol Bowling Word Champion ! I'm coming for that title Paul !
We hope to see it!
More companies should do 45 ar pistols and rifles. The extra oomph from the barrel makes 45 an interesting load.
I built an AR-15 pistol in 45ACP with a 10.5" barrel and it's so much fun and so accurate. Everyone I let try it falls in love with it right away.
Cool - would love to see a .357 Mag AR Pistol build
What a Blast! Thanks Guys really enjoyed the video.
Sounds like a fun game... Love that tuck 45acp!!
I have a couple 9mm AR's been thinking about a 45 or 10mm.
This is the content I love to watch
Love this website... all the best deals on the internet by far!!! Keep up the good work 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Thanks for the chance
Definitely need to set up some rifle bowling competitions at my local range. Looks like a blast.
Fun and interesting. Think I would go with the 45 ... but both ammo sizes are great.
A .45ACP pistol will be a great addition to my collection! Can't wait to win it!
Thanks for making these videos
Looks like a lot of fun guys. Keep up the good work.
Does the 45 acp build use a 9mm lower? What magazines run best with that build?
This looks like fun, I may need to try it out.
That is really good to know, thanks!
Ordered several things from DTT. never disappointed. Great video guys. Now I need the 45
Is the 45 not easier to find ammo for if the goal is a silencer not a suppressor?
*Lara Croft, not Laura.
Man would be amazing to win that .45!!
Love Delta Team Tactical!!
Looks like a lot of fun. Got to get me a .45 upper.
Very nice! Need that Tuck in my life!
Now, that looks both interesting info and fun.
I will have to get a set of bowling pins to give this a try with my Blazblue AR build.
Love this!!!!❤

Interesting comparison video!
Pretty impressive! Makes me miss my 45.
Bowling with firearms looks like fun.
Awesome video! Really cool to see a strike done with a pistol build!

Whichever is closest is best
Can I use regular pull rings to use as take down pins?
Very cool shooting gents!
My bet is the 45 ACP takes it all. Weight is king for things like this! Rifle Bowling looks fun!
That Tuck build is awesome. Got me thinking 🤔
Great game! I figured '45' would win!
Any surprises here? Didn't think so. I need to go bowling soon!
This is new to me but pretty badass
I KNEW it! 😁
Good info & comparison
This is awesome!
I always wanted to do that!
Strike was cool.
can't wait to try this game
That's a pretty good setup.
45 pistol builds are fun to shoot.
Try them at a plate rack.
Very cool !👍
Looks like fun!!
Bam!!! Love it!!!! Y'all crzzy 😂
would love a 45acp kit to add to collection...
Good info
Learned a few things nice vid
Rifle bowling out to be over the top awesome!
Loving the build! Need a .45 to add to the collection!!

Would love to go rifle bowling looks like fun
A fun way to bowl
45 all day!
Nice X. I love rifle bowling .
nice comparison!
This test sucks right out of the gate. You must have the same barrel length for each calaber not 1 8 inch and 1 10 inch
I’ve got both!
Would love to win that AR-45 build kit!
That would be fun
Nice strike man!
interesting information.
I’ve been wanting a new pistol caliber, you might have changed my mind.
Where is this shooting range at?

Pretty cool!!
Hmmmm interesting I would love to have that 45
Would be a fun game to play!
Get both
I have to say the 9mm because it's lighter and a faster flying round then the 45 me and my buddy did the same thing with 223s about 200 yd the key is aiming low at the board
DEPENDS ON WHAT I CAN HIT BEST WITH...THANKS
now do Liberty45ACP+Ps & both 10" barrels~ 'bout what the force hit REALLY is
That 45 is just what I need
Cool video!
I would LOVE to win this upper!
I have a AAC TiRant that would go perfect with it!
