I saw the title Ozark on netflix, thought I'll watch one episode because of Jason Bateman from hilarious Arrested Development. I'm not a big fan of series in general and I thought it would be another narc/cartell series, but after one episode I was hooked. Saw the whole first and second season in 4 days. Julia Garner steals the whole show. Such a an amazing actress!
Finished watching Season 4 Part 1 last night. It's great, but I do miss the "early days" of Ruth and Marty's relationship, in a way. There is always a wonderful dynamic between them.
Jesse was never violent or interested in being a good criminal he just wanted to sell weed. He also came from an strict upper middle class background. Ruth is a survivor from a rough environment . She would win over Jesse.
@Sound Logic except Marty's no Walter White, I mean sure Ruth sees a father figure in him but in general? Marty's not capable of doing the kind of things Walt does. Season 2 made it clear
I've still never understood this negotiation. Ruth has absolutely no idea what's inside. Marty is asking her to do all the work and take on all the risk for.....25%? Ruth's offer of 80% was even low. Season 1 of Ozark was absolutely incredible, but this was a little blip for me.
