Dan, this one was a lot of fun! LOL!!!!!
Oh and FANTASTIC result. Wonderful surface treatment!
You lads excel at this.
Praise from the master! Thanks so much, buddy!
Omg screaming "THATS WRONG!!"
Dying 😂😂😂
That took me back to art classes...
No one ever made making a tower so interesting. Amazing
Glad you think so!
@@Dan_Does Im glad your glad. Going to start using your videos to teach my highschool art students how to students scratch building
Glad I beep out the swear words now @MrJef_Paints
If you're looking to add to the team, I am also called Dan. That's my main qualification
That was enough to get me in the door
I would love to know what the companies that send products to the more sardonic UK creators think. Send it to a US one and its almost always "OMG! Watch us lose our shit so hard we have to mainline Thorazine to stop us" send to Dan "Its a 3D printer, it prints in 3D, also big"
I'm honest to a fault
@@Dan_DoesThat, like a charging sabertooth tiger, is a beautiful thing.
It's nice to receive gifts, but also nice to have somewhere to put them in a cramped space and for the person sending said gift to understand THE PAIN OF LIMITED SPACE and just send a coupon or something instead.
Tower 'bout that, then.
Also the railing gluing fart noise was *chef's kiss*
Ha, glad you noticed
Your assistant, after being told that there's no wrong way to apply the paint, puts an atom of paint on the tower, and you immediately yell "THAT'S WRONG!" at her - that made me laugh for an unhealthy length of time.
Aw, good. She didn't find it as funny
Any box that can fit a human head is a good box. Also nice printer.
As a fellow crafter with a shed full of crap from charity shops, I really like what you did here. I am off to the charity shop to get some stacking cups. They will then join the growing pile of crap I am unlikely to ever get round to doing anything with. Thank you.
"Or we'll make it up..." You sir just earned my sub!
(3d printing, mini painting, and war game crafting and reviews please)
Thank you
In Soviet Confectionery Crafting States of Dan Does, sinister tower watches you.
Thankyou for this new video Mister Does. I'm glad that you included railings on your model as I feel good health and safety practices should be encouraged more often in the minature wargaming world.
Agreed
I thought I was going to get motion sickness from that fancy intro. Can’t wait for the car tank the team makes.
Looking forward to my new wargaming video 'zine.
Dan does it again.
I wasn't too sure about the color choice at first, but seeing how well it came out after the rust and grime was applied all I have to say is VERY NICE!
Ditto! Thank you
Agreed. The oil wash really brings it all together.
@@Dingo_Winterwolf yeah it looked great after you completely changed it 😂
The sponsered bit was good, lol.
I'm not sure what they expected with only 20g of filament, either.
Your sense of humor is great. 😂
Thank you. I really do try 😉
Your videos are always such a treat ! Hobby + laughs, what more could I ask for... filament thats what.
Thank you 😀
Fantastic build as always!! If that was in a game I'd think "oh I bet that has some fantastic loot!" Spectacular!
Also I absolutely lost it when you showed your "boat" and threw it on the water (which actually floated quite well🤣).
I've not seen a strut like that since John Travolta.
Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Brilliant idea and execution! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I’m really digging the new crafting space, it looks really good!
Cheers!
This was awesome Dan. Always a pleasure to see your unique spin on the crafting UA-cam staples.
If you put transparent plastic in between the platform support struts it would make a good aircraft control tower.
It would. Thank you!
Magnificent. I am put to mind also of "Look Around You"
Great inspiration
@@Dan_Does indeed!
6:31 "Some people like feet, I like uniformness"
This is absolutely brilliant 😂
Might just be me but I swear I heard 'uniformed nurse' which I would agree is better than feet.
I must say, I was very confused when this popped in my recommended. I'd swear you've got a twin at least i nvoice in Bill Makes Things. Dan Does and Bill Makes. Both capable of making miracles with children's toys.
Dan!
Your All New Dan Does Craft format looks A MAY ZING!!!
Loving the editing style in the trailer!!!!!
Now, excuse me, but I have an appointment with my therapist!!!!!!!
New Kiddytek printer? That will give your Kiddy Slicer something else to do.
What's that - Different type of slicer....?
Oh.
Dan Does is Dantastic. Errybody gather round/catch up.
My new favourite insult will be to point at something and yell "THAT'S HOT GLUE!!"
Poor unfortunate souls will never recover from that.
They should be more careful
Fantastic video as always Dan, one technique I use for creating a rusty metallic undercoat (especially on larger models) is a matt black followed by a light misting of medium brown spray paint and a light misting of silver spray paint. Crushed chalk pastels also help to add a caked on rust texture, although I think you've been doing that already. I'd like to add another like here for Beth for her contributions as well!
Thank you
Life’s been all sorts of shit at the moment. This video had me cry-laughing. Thank you, I needed it.
@@eclectipunk that makes me happy
I like the grip tape as a texture. I used old speaker grills for my 40k Grey Knight bases because i got them mainly to play Boarding Actions. Adds a nice weight to the model too. ( You could use them as the platform too if you want a perferated platform, they are quite robust if you know any installers )
I felt that tape pull up the paint. It always sucks when that happens. This really came together in the end. Great job!
Love that "bloody pile of sticks". Dan is hilarious.

Amazing Job!
Cheers, Dan.
Many thanks!
Dan, i think you can make your own filament from recycled bottle plastic 😊 love your creations.
Sublime and ridiculous and all the good things. lovely to see you Dan and thanks for the awesome tower build🤗
Glad you enjoyed it
Like BUTTERRRRRRR!
I found this video uncomfortably sincere
That looks incredible
Thank you
Was just scrolling through videos glad your video came up, liked subscribed especially what you did to the building blocks will definitely be trying that, love the humor btw 😅
Would love to see what you make
In the mindset of sharing I'll offer up my mom to share
Always my favorite.. Nice bed pants... Best of luck..
Wearing them right now
I like that they stack so you can use them in more than just one configuration.
That's the idea! Thank you
Your opening was amazing
Thank you
That was a sample filament lol you did it right, they send you just enough to run a benchie basically
Oh man, you just keep making such inspiring builds! This was such a beauty of a transformation from the stacking cups. Bravo! 🤯🤩
Thanks so much! 😊
When you were smiling, I physically felt your incredible strain.
I'm even afraid to imagine the effort it took you to hide the pain from the existential horror of being.
Oscar any day now
@@Dan_Does Bafta first
! have that bottle opener on my key ring ! gizza job
22:57 I made the exact same noise. Excellent build, as always. Something as simple as a tower, made detailed and interesting and still believable as a functional building.
Glad you like it!
Fantastic mate
Not to say anything bad about your blood but I found your channel through Bill and now I can’t really watch his stuff because it looks less “organized” by comparison (his music is fun though). I love the sculpts especially, it just gives your channel more variety.
The MCK’s are a great series, can’t wait to see more! Nice job on this terrain. Wonderful marketing skills with that first print. Wishing you many more sponsorship deals based on how well this one was handled!
If they'd paid me it would have been a whole different review I'm sure. Thank you for watching

Welcome aboard!
coming at my face twice a week? can't wait.
That verdigris paint is used to give statues etc a 'verdigris patina'. Don't think it's meant to be used as a block colour! Great results in the end though!
Yes. I know. Thank you
Outstanding!
Thank you kindly!
The result is very nice 😊
I'm glad you made some terrain, my friend
Thanks 👍
Just as entertaining as always, Dan 😂👍. Also, buy filaments!
Thanks! Will do!
Dan, it looks fantastic! 😍
Thanks, Amber
Is that rust documentary on Netflix or Hulu? Fantastic video Dan!
Cheers, Nick!
No snark, towers came out great!
Towers are a Glorious build!! Boat,,, well i am at a lose for words.
I am Edwin K and I approve this message.
Cheers, Edwin
I enjoyed these zeros and ones. Particularly the ones.
I lost it at 'Johnathon's Protest'.
I like your nice new studio Dan! 🙌
Thank you
There's an outside of the crafting room?? Mind blown
Top notch work as always
Thank you
Dan, if you added some guns and\or grenade launchers to the door eaves, would they be The Eaves of Destruction?
Slightly better than the videos from that guy with the cat. Fantastic!
He's pretty good
@@Dan_Does I heard that too!
As always Great build Dan thank you for the content
Thanks for watching!
I love it, Dan!
Cheers!
ADHD the video, love the stackable tower idea though.
Loved it, looking forward to your next vid. ❤
Thank you!
That’s a brilliant idea 👍 sorry in advance, I’m going to copy this 😊
By all means do. Tag me on the socials
Not as big as the BMC tower, but still pretty good. I guess you got to keep your sanity though
great episode as always.
Thanks
Your production value seems to be steadily increasing. Keep up the good work.
Thank you
I’ve never been much of a tower guy myself, but these modular varieties you’ve produced have won me over. Are you going to let Bill use your filament printer? I wouldn’t.
If he provides the filament!
@@Dan_Does Twins aren’t like real brothers. A real brother would make the other buy the filament under the false pretense that he would be allowed to use the printer. Then the brother with the printer would just use the filament for his own projects. That’s how brothers who never shared a womb do each other.
Consider this my application for professional legal scapegoat

Brilliant video Dan, I love your videos soooo much
That really means a lot
Oil washes really do tie everything together.
They do
That tower looks much better than I expected. I feared you may have caused some damage to yourself sticking your head in that weird oven.
Made sure it wasn't plumbed in
Rockin' that intro, Dan. Totally bitchin', as kids possibly said, at some point in history.
I can't keep this up. Sorry. But yes, if you find some of those stacking cup things, do clean them well, to remove any anomalous materials that might cling to the inside. Be wary of piss, shit, and rags, is what I'm saying. Having found evidence of all three in an Action Man armoured car I was renovating once, it's not a pleasant surprise, and it remains with you for a long time afterwards.
Seriously though, love that tower. It really has a darkness about it, like something that looms up out of the fog, on an otherwise empty moor. You have made a hauntological model, Dan. Be proud. And slightly afraid. 👍👍👍
Thank you. We learn along the way
Quick cut every word is the pulse.
Struts ... struts! Real semi-professional popular (yet still relatable) middle-age wargame video impresario's would use buttresses.
Flying buttresses or gtfo.
Bloody hell, you could be BillMakingStuff’s cousin. The resemblance is uncanny
Yes. I could EVEN be his twin!!!
what an amazing idea!!!!
Appreciate that!
@@Dan_Does I love modular, and trying to see things that might have alternative purposes. So this connects hard!
Great work
Thanks
You teased this on Ashens live stream. Been looking forwards to this. Thought you forgot about it
No, just very busy
Dan dying inside after that intro. 😅
Haha
A plastic bonding primer like car primer or that krylon stuff will sort the peeling problem if anyone is considering doing this project
A good sand would have sufficed. I got lazy
Last time, I tried to use kids' toys as a building material, and my friends brat stole em. They have been thrown all over the house and haven't found them all since.
Gotta paint them asap
Black washes the saviour or destroyer of all builds, it turn out to be some great modular terrain in the end though.
Thank you
I would love to join the staff, where is this application? Ive built two entire miniatures and no application has appeared spontaneously under my pillow like the tooth fairy's gift
Nice work
Thanks
