Last time I visited Black Site Studio for a facility tour video like this, your feedback was that you wanted to hear more from the staff. I'm happy to say that I was able to include that in this video! Was it the right amount? If you haven't see the last facility tour video, you can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/im3I0HVA1vI/v-deo.html
It was a good amount, but if im honest I would be on board with even more, even if it meant a longer video. Especially a company like Monument, who seem to be one of the best in the business.
Love the insight. Small nitpick when you are recording in a loud area maybe rerecord the audio back home dub it over and add some industrial background noise to that way you don't have to yell during those parts
Scott did say on a livestream with Jason that he was not interested in doing a signature series since he does not use Pro Acryl paints that much. That's always subject to change of course, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
❤❤❤ My wife and I went there in 2022 during our vacation and it was sooooo awesome! I purchased some paints and as I paid, Jen realized that we were from Germany. So she asked us if we wanted to have a quick tour during lunch break. What was said to be a short tour ended to be a full factory tour which lasted almost an hour!!! We were so stunned by the friendlyness and the kindness and from the bottom of my heart I can 100% agree with what Scott said! ❤❤❤
Of course, let's be careful here. The key here is that 'the robot replaces human workers'. If those workers don't find human-centric jobs, they have to change companies. If you imagine that most companies in the Western world will function like this by 2030, you realise that a large number of Western jobs will be replaced, leaving millions without work or the required IQ and/or education to simply switch to the jobs that are open or else newly created. This is the great lie of this entire revolution, that new jobs will appear and everybody will fill them. This lie will become unworkable over the next 8 years, and then we'll all be talking about how to fix it. As it stands, many are sitting around thinking that it's a non-issue. But, again, you can come back to me over the next 8 years or so. The WEF just reported that A.I. will replace 25% of jobs in the near future, and we just saw thousands of workers replaced by A.I. at various major tech and other companies, as A.I. and A.I.-driven robots can simply do their jobs now (text-based jobs, simple tasks, and almost anything digital). Once we factor in self-driving cars and more advanced robots (without A.I.), we realise that most jobs may not exist by 2040 or 2050. Already, we are seeing Gen-Z struggle in the job market due to a lack of required IQ and skills, as the entire market becomes more tech-driven and IQ-based (meaning, every job is becoming more complex and requires smarter people). Although America has 7 million jobs open (at least, last time I checked), many are unworkable for most or deeply undesirable, and require that you move 200 or even 2,000 miles from your home. This is a problem as more homeless and jobless stack up (which has been happening for half a decade now). 'Working from home' has become a big thing since 2020, but we are now starting to see some women complain about the negatives of this, as many of us predicted (despite early claims that it was perfect without problems and actually even better than working at the office or otherwise). As even more data comes in, and we see an entire generation trapped inside, we'll see even more negative outcomes and psychological issues. Over time, the economy itself will begin to fall, income will suffer, and human innovation. Already, many experts say this is happening to America, and that the future is with China and non-human creatives (i.e. A.I.). This is a massive problem, impacting both small and large companies. Unless that girl we saw putting the caps on the bottles happens to have 120 IQ (I'd be shocked if this is the case, if this is her sole job/task at the company each day) and a deep interest in sports or science or law or something, she'll simply be moved to her nearest Starbucks after this. She won't magically have a new job open up for her, unless that company happens to have such openings (most companies don't). And maybe she won't be happy in a retail or related position, and maybe it's worse pay -- who knows. But, millions of workers are in this situation right now. It's why millions of workers have lost their jobs over the last 15 years and have struggled to find new work, or else have been forced to take a worse job. In a few decades, it won't be cute when generations of people are forced to take bad jobs, for bad pay, and foster all kinds of emotional issues and resentment as a result. This whole thing feeds into the Twitter thing a few years ago, the whole, 'learn to code' trend. This was largely over 105 IQ truckers and such. The reality is, not only do most of them not want to code, most are unable to learn it due to a lack of the required intelligence and personality traits. But, the serious problem is the future does require more coders and otherwise positions. All we're going to see over the next 20 years is a cyberpunk-like dystopia, where the A.I. and high IQ humans control everything, and the rest of humanity (80% or so) are stacking up at the bottom, as mechanics or worse. If becoming a coder is anything like going to uni, then we know we're talking about 15% of the population at best. Very terrible percentages. (Of course, the little I know of how the modern game dev landscape is right now, along with filmmaking and such, most young coders are bad at their jobs and extremely lazy and arrogant. One of the creators of Fallout exposed this not long ago. They do bad work and refuse to put in real effort. Imagine how terrible it's going to be for everybody else, then, and even younger coders in the future, if this is the state of things and the general attitude. No wonder such games are delayed, buggy, and overpriced. But, anyway.)
I was unaware of how much manual labour went into Monument Hobbies paints. Better understanding now of why they're hard to get a hold of over here, especially the signature series. Loved the insight of their workings 👍
Eeek, look Mom, my Paint is on TV! 😂🎉 Great Factory Tour and insights! It's amazing to see how Monument Hobbies keeps growing and evolving. Much more to come in the Future!
Awesome. And thanks to Monument Hobbies for letting you in! This company really deserves those behind-the-scene looks to let everyone know that they do not just sell you stuff, but actually make hobby gear that they are convinced of and love.
So one thing that absolutely has to happen is Scott and John need to introduce some heavy metal band to mini painting, and then in the outro of the video it cuts between all of them doing the growly "tooooooo" and an audience at one of their concerts yells "paint more minis!"
9:26 Jenn’s brush soap is freaking amazing. I used to use The Masters but this stuff is my go to. Been using it for a year now and terrified they’ll stop making it. Everyone please buy it.
Pro acryl is the best. I just started doing a SoH 30k army and they’re like half the reason I started it. If I had to use GW paints to get a good color match I wouldn’t have done it as their paints are THE WORST. The Jade triad as well as the Bright Pake Green are beautiful, perfect and a joy to use.
I love their paints, I love their vibe, this is a company I am happy and proud to support. Thanks giving us a deeper insight into Monument Scott. This was a really cool video.
I moved over to Monument paints from my GW paints in the last couple of months and have been really happy with them. They flow incredibly nice, have great opacity and have a constant growing range of colors.
Hands down my favorite hobby company. I LOVE the paint line. I have the complete line and cannot wait for more colors. Watching this behind the scenes makes me like them even more. I want to try the brushes soon.
Miniac and Monument Hobbies? Talk about two great tastes that taste great together. Monument Hobbies makes a fantastic product, and I'm super happy to be supporting such a team.
Love that you did a behind the scenes video. Pro acryl paints are amazing, and jason is an informative and super nice guy. Ran into him at a local hobby shop once.
Love this! As a chemical engineer (now mostly desktop), always have a very soft spot for "how it's made" features. Specially those that still have people hand mixing prototypes and small runs of things. This was awesome - thanks Scott and Monument Hobbies!
As someone who works in Manufacturing/Automation and loves hobby games, this video was a special treat and has me thinking about my future career goals. Thanks Miniac!
Super cool video!! Love monument hobbies and this was extremely well filmed and edited. Scott, please use more of these paints in your videos and get a signature series 😊
Wait hold up, this is kind of wild for me. I remember watching them painting on Twitch years ago long before they were Monument Hobbies, I still got a few of their Bombwick Brushes and a very old can of Jenns brush soap. The community really has gone full circle long after forgetting about them but still using the soap and brushes regularly to see a tour of their facility is mind boggling. Also the brush soap is actually goated, when I ordered it I had no idea how to works but I asked them on stream and Jenn gave a quick little tutorial on how to properly use it lol.
Awesome video! Glad to support Monument Hobbies and appreciate the Canadian connection! Great to see a North American brand doing so well. Cheers from Toronto
Well played brother.. this was a really good video! Love seeing behind the scenes stuff, especially with hobby stuff... I'm a huge fan of Monument Hobbies.. their paints are literally one of the best in the industry! Plus I think I watched the "paint more mini's" part at least a dozen times lol.. super dope!
Perfect timing, I've got my first order for pro acryl on its way to me at the moment all the way from Arizona to New Zealand, and im super excited to finally get my hands on it! Seeing that they're by and for hobbiests, and that they're still a pretty small company yet i hear nothing but rave reviews for their stuff is a testament to how well they understand what people actually want in their paints!
1:40 also, pigment can be naturally more matt like PW6; that's why paints with a lot of white in them tend to be less glossy even though the rest of the range is. For example think of the difference between white ink versus any other color when it comes to finish.
I love that you did this, Scott. I love behind the scenes videos, especially when it's about one of my favorite manufacturers, Monument! Although it took me a bit to recognize Jason without a wig or seal costume on. On a more serious note, a big thanks to all the Monument Hobbies staff. You all are awesome, and we appreciate all the hard work you all do.
Superrrrrr awesome video. Love seeing "How it's made" stuff. My favorite part was when you mentioned "Unlimited heat and sun" and then the next shot is of you in the shade, hahaha. Welcome to my desert.
This was an awesome video. I love Monument paints. They make the best washes. They are very difficult to get in my country, but they are worth the effort.
2:25 Jason once told me that he uses single pigment paints as much as possible, but a lot of the basic paints are not single pigment. I think the transparent line might be completely single pigment though.
Great products and people, been very happy with all their products and finding myself use theirs more and more over others. Still swear the Sable #4 is the best all around brush out there.
Hell yeah! I have bought nearly their entire paint line, almost entirely from MH directly, so it's cool to see how it all runs. I look forward to many more new colors (I am liable to purchase them...like I did with the newest Signature Paints)
Awesome video dude. I love monument! Between you, Goob, Jay at EoB and Brushstroke, I’ve become quite the painter over the past 18 months. Thanks Scott!
I like very much when Mister the Miniature Maniac’s Neighborhood takes us on a tour of the Paint Factory!!! 🥰🥰🥰 More behind-the-scenes content is always awesome, and appreciated!
Honestly this is a step up production wise from the black site studio video, Love this sort of content and it's the only way most of us will see behind the scenes of these great company's, Great work as always
Vraiment une superbe vidéo, j'adore voir comment sont fait les objets de notre hobby, leur conception, leur fabrication, merci à toi pour ce partage et pour ce reportage très bien réalisé!
I'm so glad that you got to go. I will support these guys until the day my hands stop working and I can no longer paint. Great group of hobbyists who really know what we want. Glad they joined the space.

Really love the Group Paint More Minis. Can't beat that
It was a good amount, but if im honest I would be on board with even more, even if it meant a longer video. Especially a company like Monument, who seem to be one of the best in the business.
Love the insight.
Small nitpick when you are recording in a loud area maybe rerecord the audio back home dub it over and add some industrial background noise to that way you don't have to yell during those parts
When is the Miniac paint set coming out?
Loved it, perfect amount
I will never get tired of "How its Made" videos.
So much time in my younger days of getting high and watching how its made for hours.
Very cool!!! 🙂
Miniac signature series when?
I'm guessing *soon*
Needs to join Vince V and ninjon!
Scott did say on a livestream with Jason that he was not interested in doing a signature series since he does not use Pro Acryl paints that much. That's always subject to change of course, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
6 variations of hot pink?

I love when small companies do cool shit and the community gets on board with what they are doing.

"Shaked," Scott? Shaked? I am shook.

The Guy Fieri of our hobby, taking us to pigment flavortown - one brush lick at a time
Bro got the goobertown hobbies treatment 😂

Danggg!!! That's down the street from where I live! I love their products! Can't wait to see the signature series of yours
Great to see the team at monument doing well.
Was that Jordan Lamb? After PP and BAM, it's been quite a ride for him!
It is Jordan! We jumped at the opportunity to offer him a great home here!
@@MonumentHobbies Glad to hear it! Always loved his painting streams back in the PP days. "Center the model, Jordan!"
Great video, Scott! It's great to see the inside of a company and meet all the people who work there.❤
Hell yeah, I got some paint and supported Miniac at the same time! Good day. Thanks for the content and great work Scott!
I just ordered a bunch of paints from Monument Hobbies the other day. This was super cool to see where my new paints came from behind the scenes!

Hey.....I know where that building is.....love going and see everyone at Monument Hobbies....
The art for that game looks wonderful
Love this! As a chemical engineer (now mostly desktop), always have a very soft spot for "how it's made" features. Specially those that still have people hand mixing prototypes and small runs of things.
This was awesome - thanks Scott and Monument Hobbies!
Loved this video. I’ve been to Monument Hobbies offices a couple of times and they are great! Main reason to love their products even more.
As someone who works in Manufacturing/Automation and loves hobby games, this video was a special treat and has me thinking about my future career goals. Thanks Miniac!

An OG! It's been a long and crazy ride around here for sure!
Monument Hobbies is one of thise companies I love giving my money too. I love my Pro Acryl paints!
Great tour. Monument looks like a nice company. I’ve bought a few of their products and have always been impressed.
Holy shit its Gabe and Christopher from @Emptywallets! Thats amazing lmfao. Awesome video bro thanks for including some outtakes :p
🥰👏
This was so cool! Thanks and thanks to Monument. I totally love these kind of videos too.
So when are we seeing a Miniac signature paint series!!??!!
Wow, that was really impressive. It makes me even happier to have Pro Acryl filling my rack.
Scott, this video is incredible. This is super important content for paint nerds.
edit: man, this company is so sick
Awesome video!

Awesome. Never knew Monument was from AZ.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Monument Hobbies is the best!
I think we all owe them a big thank you for Titanium White.
First of all you @miniac did a great job at this whole thing! And I LOVE that monument hobbies is made in America! That is a huge deal to me
I feel even better about owning almost every one of their paints now - super cool company!
This was an awesome video. I love Monument paints. They make the best washes. They are very difficult to get in my country, but they are worth the effort.
Miniac signature series??????????
One of my fav videos from miniac in awhile! I hope this means we are getting a signature series
Best paint currently on the market. Took the spot of Reaper for me.
Who is your favorite employee b-roll, and why is it Phil?
Have to say Scott, you've got a knack for documentary filming! Would love to see more stuff like this.
Fascinating to see how it’s all done, crazy amount of work goes into each pot.
Hell yeah! I have bought nearly their entire paint line, almost entirely from MH directly, so it's cool to see how it all runs. I look forward to many more new colors (I am liable to purchase them...like I did with the newest Signature Paints)
I hope these videos start to being a series because I love them, Scott
Awesome video dude. I love monument! Between you, Goob, Jay at EoB and Brushstroke, I’ve become quite the painter over the past 18 months. Thanks Scott!
I love their paint line!! Keep it up!
Dude the Star Wars manga were the first manga and some of the first comics I ever owned. So freakin' cool. Great video Scott.
Thank you for this inside.
Monument are my new favorite paint supplier. I love them and their marketing.
These are some of my favorite videos! These will always get an auto watch from start to end for me! :)
I love watching paint being made, this right up my street
The price of paints feels more affordable after seeing this. (I had no idea Monument Hobbies was such a cool company)
This is so cool! I just ordered 3 colors from them - Never used ProAcryl before and I'm excited to give them a try when they arrive.
These type of videos are a real treat from you my man! Thanks for the hard work.
I had no idea they were in Phoenix! Looks like it's field trip time!
I like very much when Mister the Miniature Maniac’s Neighborhood takes us on a tour of the Paint Factory!!! 🥰🥰🥰 More behind-the-scenes content is always awesome, and appreciated!
I LOVED THIS KIND OF CONTENT! If I decide to move back to the USA and get a real job, I might have to consider Arizona. 😍
Honestly this is a step up production wise from the black site studio video, Love this sort of content and it's the only way most of us will see behind the scenes of these great company's, Great work as always
Love mh and I like these types of videos
Vraiment une superbe vidéo, j'adore voir comment sont fait les objets de notre hobby, leur conception, leur fabrication, merci à toi pour ce partage et pour ce reportage très bien réalisé!
My one wish is to own each of their paints. Definitely my favorite range ever
I'm so glad that you got to go. I will support these guys until the day my hands stop working and I can no longer paint. Great group of hobbyists who really know what we want. Glad they joined the space.
So when will we see a miniac signature series?
Fantastic look into the industry!
Great video, super interesting. Seem like s great crew. I will happily give them my money.
This is freaking awesome Scott! Thanks!
Loved the video; thanks for sharing, Scott!
I LOVE these behind the scenes manufacturing videos!!!
Oh! I met Christopher at adepticon!!
Love when you make these types of videos Scott! Feel like you are the only one who does.
Love the behind the scenes!
Got all of the signature series, looking forward to adding yours!
Love these Field Trip videos! I'll have to buy that new giant bundle they are offering.
The "I feel attacked" part got me. My co-workers were looking at me like I was a nutjob as I giggled like a school girl on a log flume.
What!?!?! You were in my boiling hot area and I didn't even know it!!
Great video. Great energy! Love to see you talking about stuff that clearly interests you.
Hell yeah, Scott!
Nice one mate, great to see behind the scenes
