Im thankful for the haters for driving the demand and price down. This has been a great low price and competent EDC for over a year. Great for fishing.
Had $20 from points at REI and was looking for a cheap, but reasonable tool for every day use. Got this one for $30 and am pretty satisfied with it. If I was gifting someone a Leatherman I'd still probably get them a Wave or Wave Plus, but for my basic use cases, this works. Great review!
It seems like they moved the knife opening the the bottom so that Its difficult to do it one handed, this complies the tool to be sold in more countries that has restrictions.
My wife just got me the Rev and I love it my work I do is facility and security worker. Thank you for your video is very helpful being from Hawaii 🤙🏾🏖️🏄🏻♂️🌺
It would be nice if those great tools were actually usable. You have to carry a tool to open the Leatherman tools. I love watching those guys press out that blade with one finger. Mine requires a screwdriver to dig out that blade.
A really good tool....if it had a Wave-like pair of scissors, it would be perfect...imho, the REV plier head & cutters are much better than the Wingman & the Sidekick....the very sharp blade & the package opener are the best parts of the tool....I find the fit & finish of the tool looks nicer than the W&S....a nice tool for a medium to light carry if you are out & about...it can also solve a lot of problems in a pinch....😊 Now, if you can find it at a decent price point....good review, thanks!😊
dude i have the leatherman micra and it works really well but i'm thinking of buying a model with pliers leatherman sidekick looks pretty good on it it has exactly the tools i was looking for but the wire cutter part doesn't close it is not very important for me, can you recommend it.
sidekick is great if you can get for 40 bucks or less. otherwise id save up for a rebar if you dont mind having nonpocket clip or a wave gen 2 or 3 with addition cost of clip. sidekick is good tool for my uses and it has a saw that i use more than scissors from leatherman.
I don’t think that the wire cutters are in spec. I have 4 different Leathermen and all the wire cutters close completely. (Yes, it was intentional, if you know you know, 😆)
No, it's not. Flat philips head deformed enough to make it somewhat ineffective (and I wasn't twisting it hard). Plier support broke just from normal opening and closing, making it useless.

Was thinking the same most budget Amazon are 40 anyway so 10 more and Boom 💥 better 😅

Bought a sheath my my new one so it doesn't happen again!
@@jamesbuchanan3145 Yes. I've removed a lot of circle hooks from catfish mouths since this post with it.
I love this tool. Cheap and useful.

@@TheFossilChannel Thank you for your comment. I think I'll get a sidekick. Micra and I will make a good couple.
gotcha. also the victorinox signature lite would make a good companion for the leatherman sidekick as it has very good and precise scissors.
