Let's give Meryl the credit... How hard would it be to play a character that dealt with her own issues so much so that she had to appear to not care as much about her child. That comes from a place of depth... A place of knowing, only by tapping in. She is brilliant.
It's not ''hard'', it's their JOB, their craft to play various people and emotions/experiences. Sure, Meryl IS great but you're saying as if she's the only actress to portray a complex character in a complicated situation.
In movies and TV shows the actors don't smoke tobacco cigarettes; instead, they smoke nicotine-free herbal ones that reportedly smell and taste horrible.
Lol, "Theres no smoking anywhere on this floor"....."okay okay, I will be real quiet"
Reminds me of that "I Tonya" scene.
Meryl Streep is an incredible actress literally phenomenal 👏🏼
I love how, years later, these two ladies played sisters in “August Osage County” 🧡
Yes, and they were also both in “The Hours”, but they didn’t share any scenes together.
Which was also based on a play.
In TV movie First do no harm (1997) too
Right, and there again one was more reasonable than the other ❤
Meryl Streep.. what an actress.
.
I actually think this is one of her weaker performances.
@@SomethingSomethingg I agree. Diane Keaton was the highlight of this stilted adaptation of Scott McPherson's 1992 play.
Love this movie.

I love how it's a non smoking floor, yet there's an ash tray on the desk.
Meryl Streep i love her❤

There’s something very endearing about Lee putting out the M&Ms for Hank on his shirt

They are worked again one year later in TV movie First do no harm (1997)

When he wakes up and sees the M&Ms on his chest, what did he think?
He probably thought the doctor who sedated him gave it to him

He was behaving violently so the doctors strapped him to the bed and sedated him.
