I dont want to judge anyone, but if you are seriously considering to live in some country permanently, and you chose it as residence, I think you need to learn their language, culture, traditions, even if you both are foreigners. It's just respect to this country and the only way for you to be accepted and respected. And i'm certain the most important is not if people are treating you as foreigner or not, but if they are friendly to you. And as i can see, most people in China are friendly to foreigners even in small places where they rarely see such.
Yes, you are completely right! I am german, moved to UK and learnt english, then I lived in Paris and learned french, went to work in Italy and learnt italian and my last step was to go to Brazil where I learned portughese! As I am passioned about China and would like to visit, I am learning chinese on youtube to be able to communicate with people! Each language is an expression of the mentallity of a nation and to know the people you must be able to interact in their own language!
@fatisummer9106 I think everyone has ability to learn. Just for some people it may take longer time. And I can say from my own experience it's really not easy to move to another country, and it took me about a year to start to understand and speak well. And it's truth, "Interest is the best teacher".
@fatisummer9106 Don't you want not to be treated as a foreigner on each corner in France, and you want to be treated equally and with Love? And French just Love people who want to learn their language. Moving somewhere is not just choosing a better place to live, it's respecting their culture, language, laws and their way of life. And language is a big part of it, without it you can't immerse in their culture. So we have to learn no matter how long it takes... even though it's not easy sometimes... And language learning improves significantly cognitive functions and memory. So it's not just fun, or interest... it's also healthy and useful. : ) 🌸
do people literally watch all the screen live, or is it used after the fact? Example, would a live watcher call their dispatch if they see an accident, or are their records reviewed hours/days later when authorities ask?
@@darwinjina ??? Watching live, do you know how many people are in China? How much human resources do you think it takes to do a job like watching a live broadcast? For example, if you drive and someone has a traffic accident, and you have a dispute about the determination of responsibility for the accident, you can choose to call the police, the police will come and ask the parties involved about how long ago the accident happened, and then retrieve the footage of the vicinity of the time period, and then determine the responsibility of both parties involved in the accident.

As a Chinese guy married to an Indian woman, definitely agree with the Ukrainian lady on how great it is if your wife cannot fluently communicate with your mum. It makes your life so much easier and both your mum and your wife will actually care more about each other than starting any fights.
Great advice Ben, marriage life should stay in between the couple, less parents involves, at least for my preference. Some parents really like to tell their children what to do
Parents should have the freedom of speech. They are usually more experienced and care for their children. Unfortunately they do not always realize that they have raised adults. Everybody should be free to decide. Traditionally the children, especially the boys, were supposed to take care of their parents during old age. With changing financial conditions, especially pensions, this is no more a life or death situation. So there is no more a need to have many children and especially boys, in the hope that one of them would look at you at old age. There is a crucial role for the grand parents in taking care of their grand children, especially when both parents go to work. In Greece and many other countries a grand child often gets the name of a grand parent.
Yes and No, Your mom and Wife will have a very superficial relationship. For me it's better that my wife and parents have a relationship, and they hopefully understand each other no matter. There will be a time your wife will not agree with something, maybe the house decoration or an opinion. She have to pass your the communication and vise-versa.
I lived in China for almost one year, in my opinion the main dificulty in a relationship between a chinese person and a foreigner one in China is the foreigner one must know Chinese Language (if the chinese person only knows mandarin ), he/she must know how to express feelings, emotions, thoughts. The other point is there are cultural differences, so there must be respect and understanding about that, what implies good communication. In general, Chinese people are very friendly, unfotunately my mandarin was not very good. I hope go back to China with a better mandarin.
As a white guy married to a Chinese woman, I can relate to the girl from Ukraine. You definitely have to get along with the family and sometimes it can be exhausting. I also cannot communicate much with my in-laws, but I actually don't see that as a very good thing. Im still trying very hard to improve my Chinese so I can communicate better with them in the future.
@@jungk0081 Sometimes I need to, but using a translator to communicate with somebody is not ideal, it’s better to learn the language if you really care
I'm married to a Chinese too but I speak Chinese because I am doing postgraduate studies here. If you're not already, enrole in a Chinese language program at a university in your city. It is intensive , and in addition to language, you also learn culture and some extracurricular activities and by the end of one year you should be advanced enough, or have the needed foundation to do independent study of the language. You'll meet other foreigners too from all backgrounds and all over the world. I am still friends with people I met in my class, (including a fellow foreigner-chinese couple). The key to thriving in China is to stop comparing it to your country, and also make friends of your own outside of family and family friends.
@@emi62507 unfortunately I’m too busy with my current college courses to also be taking Chinese, but I have been studying on my own for a year and have a solid foundation already. I don’t need to use Chinese for my relationship, but I do need to use it to communicate with my wife’s family. Someone from Brazil! How cool! This shows that Brazil is diverse. I have to go to Ukraine to find a beautiful woman like that.I have the greatest admiration for the Chinese language, culture and people!
Haha you have no idea - China is still just a country of new money racist farmers pretty much. Look how they treat ethnic minorities - Still low class simple racists in China mostly
It is true that in chinese culture, generally we show love and care through gestures, the husband taking care of the wife financially and always being there for her and their family...overall very family oriented. Family time is super important. Traditional chinese don't show much affection or say the i love you's but through actions
Often in western culture if the husband, no matter how good he is being the family provider, does not cater to the wife's romantic fantasy such as dinner out together (kids not allowed), spending a weekend in hotel (the more expensive the better), flowers on multiple occasions within one year time frame....etc... he may end up divorced or cheated on. The lies he say to her about how much he loves her in many instances are more important than the actual deeds he does all year long for the family, which might have been appreciated in the beginning but after awhile it is taken as a given.....a sense of entitlement. This is also a reason why many western males look for Asian women (not American born and westernized) after multiple divorces. A good friend of mine is an airline pilot. He spent 3 weeks out of a month on his job all over the world. He has only one week off with family. He went through three divorces in the span of 10 years and paid heftily for child support. He finally settles down with an Asian bride. He said after ten years with her he so much appreciated her for not cheating on him despite of the "lack of romantic time together" and half of his income being garnished for child support.
geezes, this channel should go viral. It's down-to-earth and informative. We visited China on a 2.5-week trip ( Guangzhou->Shanghai->Beijing->Chongqing). It's an amazing country! We were drunk every night and walked back to the hotel without any fear of getting robbed, shot, etc. Excellent beer food on the way to the hotel tool. As a foreigner, watch out for the following: The squat toilet, the silent moped zipping through on the pedestrian walkway, dudes coming up to you asking "Do you want massage" girl, angry taxi driver because your VPN is slow as fuk and you're trying to pay him/her via Alipay. For Chongqing, the "hotpot" was not for me. The "real" street food tastes much better. Otherwise, the architecture in Chongqing is simply amazing!
So from this comment I assume that people should visit the country, when they want to be drunk every day and not beeing robbed, where you can't wire money for service, otherwise you will get yelled, where men harasse women on streets with inappropriate proposals and other man says that is the best comment.
Bro your will channel will become viral gradually and eventually. You are doing the street interview in the right way, informative and down-to-earth without politics bs. Best of luck luck!
This whole "you will never be accepted as Chinese but as a foreigner in China.", well, that's exactly what Chinese people experience in Anglosphere or other European countries.
True. So this isn't a one way street since Asians are never accepted as Americans. We get made fun of so much that we are basically outsiders. I laugh at the fact that people try to nail China for this when they also do it. Like "USA is not decent example of human rights buddy, let alone a good example."
there are many western cities that are surveilled as heavily or even more than chinese cities. but it has not much effect of crime rates. maybe it's something else. like socioeconomic, cultural and collective awareness stuff.
Bingo. I was going to come comment precisely this. It’s not just the cameras. The cameras is perhaps 1/10 the reason. Biggest reasons likely include improved basic standards of living; guns banned; and digital payment (therefore almost nobody carries cash etc). And maybe Confucianism if we start looking into less materialistic factors.
@@cogniktive1147 yes. it's good country management. the chinese people are also very capable of many bad things. but the current state of affair of the country does not force them to do any of it. everybody can live prosperously and harmoniously. no need for crimes.
It's cultural difference. In China being men is very difficult. Men have to prove that he can take care of you. He has stable income. Let's look at this way. Animal bird insects everywhere male has to impress female. That's exactly in China. Men has to impress women.
Unless if the man is WHITE, then the stupid family and Chinese wh0re will roll the red carpet for immediate marriage. No need to prove your worth, you can be a homeless white guy she will be offered as cheap wife. WHITE worship & self hate is a Chinese traditional value.
Wrong. It's never been that way on Earth. Men prefer tan women, women prefer white men. In Japan, reverse colorism has acted against white women, whose complexions are stigmatized as too pale or "spotted" in comparison to local Asian women.[25] In Southeast Asia, beauty ideals created by Dutch white male colonists placed brown-skinned Asian women above white women in the female beauty standard, leading to the lower socioeconomic status of blond, light-skinned women in Indonesia.[85] Bonnie Adrian writes that American culture makes white women feel inferior for having pale complexions and reddish features, and that she risked skin cancer and wrinkles trying to darken her pale skin.[22] According to 21st-century research, women in China have recently asserted tan skin as the new female beauty ideal, which they view as healthier and more attractive. According to Tai Wei Lim, Chinese women in the media now sport bronze complexions, and this is viewed as a reclamation of women's autonomy from the fading Chinese patriarchy.[23] According to a 2014 study of Swedish women in Singapore, white women are not fetishized in East Asia, but placed beneath Asian women in the beauty hierarchy. European racial characteristics such as blond hair desexualized Swedish women in Singapore, and made them feel less feminine. Furthermore, their Swedish husbands found local Taiwanese women highly attractive, contributing to the low self esteem of the Swedish women.[75] According to Erica Lorraine Williams, White women in Brazil are considered less attractive than women of color.[76] White Brazilian women have complained that foreign male sex tourists are not interested in them, and that these men prefer brown and black women over White Brazilian women.[76] For this reason, White Brazilian women struggle to compete for the money of male sex tourists.[76]
@Systems_70 LOL dude where are you getting this info from? East Asian media is all pale skin, especially China and Korea. Pale skin has always been the ideal. It's o lying until very recently in the west that it has changed. Out of curiosity, are you a dark skinned and female?
@@shino8854 And what's worse is that their sense of superiority isn't usually as simple as the "I am better than them" kind, it's actually waaay more subtle and pervasive than that... Deep down they have this feeling that their sense of humor, their values and ethical views are somewhat universal (and they don't believe this because of arrogance trust me, but as a byproduct of centuries of western world domination. And you will likely find that in countries who have had major cultural influence from the west, people there have developed this sort of "realist", almost immutable conception of the world, because after all this is how it is, and how it's ever been). So after several interactions with the locals, and them not understanding their jokes or finding them particularly amusing / thought provoking, or maybe they have different views on how certain things should be, etc. etc. it's like their minds go puff.... they simply cannot conceive how a vast group of people can have such different world views and at such a fundamental level. So in the end they cannot help but develop this belief that the locals must all be very basic, uninteresting or not cultured enough about the world. Sorry about the long rant, I'm just a westerner who's had enough of this. (btw, I'm not particularly refering to HK's case, in fact I don't even know how well or not westerners integrate in HK's culture to tell you the truth, I'm just trying to dissect the mind of the average westerner in general as I've seen this type of attitude countless, countless times)

Very dangerous line of reasoning. Surely you see the implications of this? Anything can be spun positively, but as a whole, this level of surveillence is against people«s freedom. Do you trust the authorities that are watching? The governments? I'm not chinese, but I'd prefer if foreigners didn't enable this sort of thing in my country. It’s true what the girl at the end said most of the world used parents as a marriage and courting process. Some odd reason the Western countries are so against their own traditions especially in America.

Thanks for the video. Could you do a video talking to older women and older chinese men and ask about dating say in your 40's? How common is it for the older men to want to date and get married but not have children? I am interested what dating is like for that age group vs the western countries
Lool I can make a video about that. if you looking for more adventure, tinder or bumble is good, but many people look for fun tho. If look for more Chinese who never travel or been abroad, Tan tan is cool. Overall I don't recommend any of these lmao
As an ethnic Chinese with a western education, I think men should have his own opinion and independent thinking, and not be a mama's boy. If I really like someone regardless of whether she's a foreigner or not, my parents would have no say in whom I should date or marry. It's my life, not theirs. Having said that, respect is mutual, and has to be earned.
I think you have a very misunderstood perception of Chinese men looking through most of it using western lenses. Like you I also grew up in the west but I lived in China for many years as an adult and really integrated myself with the locals. For one, the Chinese men that are only looking for sex on dating sites is no different than the men from western countries on dating sites. Dating sites are not an ideal solution for finding a real relationship. Most of my Chinese local friends are actually quite respectful towards western women and are serious about dating them. Also in response to your perception of most Chinese men all being super shy, that is far from the truth. When you have a population of over 1 billion people, you are going to meet all sorts of different people if you integrate yourself with them. Some of the Chinese men that I befriended are actually no different than western men when it comes to being confident and assertive.
I think is quite interesting hearing some of these. I’m a brown skinned woman. I know it’s not for all but a lot of Chinese men won’t date because of their parent’s preferences. When I move there it’ll just be for peace and comfortability not to date lol
I am a brown skinned man with a Chinese wife and my sister is going to marry a (American born) Chinese guy. Not every man is the same! China has many cool and handsome guys who might like you, so don’t give up!
You always have shitty guy in any culture. That being said, in my humble opinion as a Chinese living abroad, i think for long term relationships…it’s more easy for foreign girls to date Chinese men. As China is a patriarchal culture, men will provide care and financial security after marriage. Sometimes it could a bot little overwhelming for the foreign girl if she use to be autonomous. But in the other hand, a Chinese girl who date a foreign guy from country where gender equity if very strong…it won’t work at all. He will split restaurants bills, will expect her to contribute to the family income, etc. When the values set are too different…it won’t work.
Actually the relationship between the foreign daughter in law with the husband's parents would be good for both as seen with mixed marriages on UA-cam.
19:21 "You lose social credit." Is this sarcasm or not? The woman responds as if it is but there are lots of videos on China's social credit system. Is social credit program pervasive across the country?
The social credit stuff pushed by the West is nonsense. It just the usual China bashing from the West. The West has something called credit score that can affect if you can get a loan. How's that for hypocrisy.
Social Credit is a meme, but the closest analogy to reality is a Criminal Record. If you are a convicted felon then you have certain privileges restricted. Hence why the crime rate is so low.

my personal experience, as a mixed race European and Asian mature and single lady is that Japanese, Korean and Chinese men in general are difficult to converse with and date. In my experience, i never met anyone who was actually serious about finding a life partner, like i was. So i think that the brazilian-Chinese interpreter was absolutely right when she mentioned that most chinese men will actively pursue and marry Chinese ladies, but they will not demonstrate the same behaviour towards foreign women, it is very rare. Interacial marriages in the world, are, still very rare to be honest, not just in China.
Interracial marriage between asian and other countries is very rare, hope to see more soon. For women is harder to date, because boys will always be boys
How is that rare, Asian ladies with Caucasians guys are everywhere. I find the issue with most western girls are that they have no intention to date seriously but looking for fun and attention, almost emotionally absence as well. They mostly call themself expats, though they are actually western migrants looking out for opportunities, in search for real rich expats or locals, similarly materialistic. I chatted with a lady from Russia recently and she told me she's Russian and Russian prefer rich and she doesn't date locals. So don't blame locals, they are just playing victims here.

Yeah you’re right, I don’t believe that either, but than again the states is very diverse is term of culture and being westernize. It’s more or less depending of the individual person of caring to the extreme or less about the financial status of the male partner.
I didn’t say girls don’t care about money at all, but money is not the only thing that matters in a relationship. In China, guys think if they have money they can date anyone. But it doesn’t work for me. I don’t care how much money you have. I look at the personality, humor, intellect, and the way the guy treats me at first, and money is not the most important part. I don’t care how much the guy earns, his salary has nothing to do with me, he should just have enough for the necessities (I said it but it was cut from the video). Btw I’m proudly married to a Chinese person 😅
Well I know also in Hungary no one cares at the BEGINNING of dating how poor or rich you are. It's just not a thing. You can get women to bed no problem doesn't matter if you even have a bank account. With marriage and starting a family also Hungarians care more about money. But like if you're introducing yourself with eg. how much money you make (in Hungary) all you will get is people laughing at you, and fellow men forcing you to buy them drinks.

As an overseas China I would agree it's the same about getting the approval of my parents. I mean, if only my parents like the girl and I don't like her then it's a no no, but if I like her but my parents don't like her then it will probably not work out either. Because in racist Anglosphere countries you and your parents are usually a lonelysphere and they are truly the people that supported you there, hence you cannot marry someone that will make them feel bad because it's not fair for them.

all these people and answers only scrape the surface. ask some that actually know, they will tell you about real cultural differences. because the 1st 5% is just talking about "apartment, salary, which school" etc. is still the "nice stuff". but life gets pretty real after dating or marriage and then western women realize they have noting in common with Chinese men. not even topics to talk about. and that can be eye opening. ok, some are different but if you see the majority it's still pretty traditional. Guy is the head of the family and he only wants his wife to adore him, not be equal or even challenge him. Many girls saw this at first date and said no to the guy. they mostly said there are no common topics to talk about.
What's with the bashing of Chinese men? Sounds like you're trying to push an agenda. Are you even Chinese? Firstly, there are more Slavic women than Western women in Chìna. They tend to be interested and open minded to the culture and learn the language. It's very arrogant and ignorant of you to automatically assume a Chinese man and Western women have no common ground. Do individuals not have different taste in movies, music, interests, and hobbies? Many Chinese men have lived in the West or Europe, so are familiar with the cultural differences anyway. As for your "head of the family" hogwash, you have clearly not heard of the Chinese saying: Women hold up half the sky. If you are implying China is male dominated, then go and compare American politicians Chinese ones. America is dominated by males in the lesdership roles, while China has a split of men and women. And language is a big part of it, without it you can't immerse in their culture. So we have to learn no matter how long it takes... even though it's not easy sometimes...
And language learning improves significantly cognitive functions and memory. So it's not just fun, or interest... it's also healthy and useful. : ) 🌸
❤ the German lady said that the CCTV on the street is like a "Guardian Angel watching over me", that is so well put ❤
do people literally watch all the screen live, or is it used after the fact?

Why don't you use app translator ?
I can communicate basics, but really it’s gonna take me many years before I can communicate my thoughts effectively in Chinese without some language barrier. I don’t need to use Chinese for my relationship, but I do need to use it to communicate with my wife’s family. Given that we are deciding to live in the US, and my wife’s family is in China, it’s not too big of an issue at the moment. It was just challenging and a bit awkward at times when I was in China visiting them and celebrating our marriage.

Wow, her Cantonese is really good. 🤗
Damn dude, best comment ever and encouraging 🙌🏼
I liked the Alipay payment with VPN story, that’s true! 😂😂😂
So from this comment I assume that people should visit the country, when they want to be drunk every day and not beeing robbed, where you can't wire money for service, otherwise you will get yelled, where men harasse women on streets with inappropriate proposals and other man says that is the best comment.

Bingo. I was going to come comment precisely this. It’s not just the cameras. The cameras is perhaps 1/10 the reason. If you white girl or fair skin then Chinese boyfriend parents will like you
its been like that for us since men walked the earth.
Wrong. It's never been that way on Earth. Men prefer tan women, women prefer white men.
In Japan, reverse colorism has acted against white women, whose complexions are stigmatized as too pale or "spotted" in comparison to local Asian women.[25] In Southeast Asia, beauty ideals created by Dutch white male colonists placed brown-skinned Asian women above white women in the female beauty standard, leading to the lower socioeconomic status of blond, light-skinned women in Indonesia.[85]
Bonnie Adrian writes that American culture makes white women feel inferior for having pale complexions and reddish features, and that she risked skin cancer and wrinkles trying to darken her pale skin.[22] According to 21st-century research, women in China have recently asserted tan skin as the new female beauty ideal, which they view as healthier and more attractive. According to Tai Wei Lim, Chinese women in the media now sport bronze complexions, and this is viewed as a reclamation of women's autonomy from the fading Chinese patriarchy.[23]
According to a 2014 study of Swedish women in Singapore, white women are not fetishized in East Asia, but placed beneath Asian women in the beauty hierarchy.

I visited HK awhile ago. I noticed the foreigners are stand offish, they socialize among themselves. Almost unapproachable. Maybe it's changed since.
Nah, they still think they are better than the locals....that's why they are percieved as arrogant.

Well I know also in Hungary no one cares at the BEGINNING of dating how poor or rich you are. It's just not a thing. You can get women to bed no problem doesn't matter if you even have a bank account.

I'm a Mexican American married to a chinese woman, she values more on her independence than her family values. However, her and I are giving as much respect as possible to the culture and values. Learning chinese is a fun challenge. Hopefully I'll be able to communicate effectively in a year from now.
It's a every healthy people.. need this
nice interview, great job!
Aiden, you should interview matchmaking agencies rather these girls. Interview the foreign women that agencies match with chinese men, then your data would be better.
whoa korean chinese chick can speak 4 languages.
200000 RMB a month???? omg! that's a lot of money, you earn more then an executive in Germany

The height, because here people really care about height

it was nice video.
Very interesting video! Thank you
As an overseas China I would agree it's the same about getting the approval of my parents.
@@greenduck72553 Once the foreign girl is accepted the inlaws actually are quite helpful especially if you give them grand kids.
You should have asked me. 😄I have lived in China (Shanghai, Shenzhen) for more than 6 years and I have a large account. There were so many different men who wrote to me. I believe that it doesn't matter which country a man is in - they are all different, but most of them are not smart enough and do not perceive a woman as a person. It is very difficult to find a diamond everywhere.
Lol shoot me a dm on instas, when I come back to Gunagdong will hit you up!

What about for foreign men?
No one give af about them

That Korean girl, i had a girl friend in the Usa 15 years ago she dressed exactly the same. Same haircut same style.
Chinese guy here, the Ukrainian woman has got it figured out, just copy what she does, deep connection especially with in-laws is totally overrated and possibly double edged
the lady from Ukraine talked the true
Good video
all these people and answers only scrape the surface.
ask some that actually know, they will tell you about real cultural differences. because the 1st 5% is just talking about "apartment, salary, which school" etc. is still the "nice stuff".
but life gets pretty real after dating or marriage and then western women realize they have noting in common with Chinese men. not even topics to talk about. and that can be eye opening.
ok, some are different but if you see the majority it's still pretty traditional. Guy is the head of the family and he only wants his wife to adore him, not be equal or even challenge him. Many girls saw this at first date and said no to the guy. they mostly said there are no common topics to talk about.
The girl who’s married to her Chinese husband seems very content.
Your comment is full of generalisations.
