  • So it was time to replace those worn out fork seals... Oh what fun... haha. It wasn't a bad job, in fact I quite enjoyed it.

    A garage with a few GPZ900R s & a SkyBlue on white Type 2 Bay window!!?!?
I needed to double take as I could have been opening my own garage to that sight.
I think I shall follow & start putting my own house (sorry garage) in order after many years of injury.

Thanks for the vid. I've got an '86 GPZ600R and was interested in the whole process. Especially how much spring pressure there was when I get to popping the end caps. I'm not nervous anymore. Cheers.

@Dennis Gunnar thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

Haha, I rofl'ed on the lubing of the fork. Genius music choice ;) I came to see how the new seals should be put in place, but unfortunately that part was not on video! Can you just push them in or should a length of tubing be used like some blogs mention?

Thank you, it was a little while ago now, but im pretty sure i pushed them into place. If you need to level them up or tap them home you could use a big socket.

Very keen on your videos as I have a A1 GPz900R that I'm doing up. You can present your material as you wish, it's your chanel. But, as a viewer the background music is akin to water torture, please get rid of it. I know it's hard doing these vids, hell I gave it a go and sucked big time, but be aware of your body blocking the camera. I'm not ripping on you, just trying to make you more aware. I'll stick with you and subscribe. Cheers mate, steveo.

What tyres are you running my man?

First off…get a proper mic..or at very least, get out of the wind, because the wind noise is overriding the AGC on your recording device, effectively rendering you…incomprehenisble. Secondly, the radiator/fairing stay, is NOT intended for jacking the bike up.

@@projectmoto9089 Yeah these old Damper rod, Anti dive forks are fine it looked after and maintained, ive got an 86 Suzuki 1100 with the original forks and they are fine. Have said that i do notice how supple and well controlled the forks on my modern bike are if i hop from one to another, but thats to be expected.
