Goodness, the amount of frames Juggernaut does not have is hilarious.
Akuma and Wolverine. Just think of those super long emotionally charged conversations those two are not having because they spend most of the time scowling at and fighting things.
I love how Shinryuken looks way more badass and destructive in this 2D iteration of the SF series than in SFV.

I died when cyclops threw his jacket and it didnt even animate loool.. I had the Japanese Saturn version.. you had to boot it up with a Japanese converter cartridge, then during the loading you had like a 2 second window to swap in the RAM cart.. had a ton of fighters on Saturn <3
You talk about a game that disappointed me as a kid, here we go. I was absolutely in love with the arcade version, it was mind blowing at the time to see the X men and Street Fighters go at it and i had never seen a tag team fighter before. I waited a long time for a home port and we finally got one two years later in 1998...and THIS was it, sigh. Tons of frames of animation missing, slowdown, and worst of all NO tag teams.

Capcom needs to make another Compilation Game of the Vs series starting with Children of the Atom onward. Preferably the Arcade Versions of each game. And release them on Modern Systems. They did it with the 30th Anniversary Collection the Vs series shouldn’t be a problem.
Ah the original Vs. game. I absolutely loved this game in the arcades. I have a Saturn now with a burned copy of this game and I still play it often. Good times!
There is a tag mode in ps1 version. It's a code you had to put that could only be played in Vs mode and it was a mirror match. For example P1 would pick Ken and Ryu, and P2 would pick Ryu and Ken and that would be the tag match. It wasn't the best, but it made the game a whole lot better when playing with your friends.

The PSone ports of the "vs" games was just trash.
These sprites are timeless to me! Despite the hardware limitations, games like this from Capcom will always hold a special place in my heart! ♥️♥️♥️😍
