Odyssey is $700 now ($600 was the WB concept price); Carrack is still $600 or $620 (w/C8) or $625 (Ex paint) or $645 (w/C8X+Ex paint). Also, Cutty is now $110 and Titan is now $60, I believe as of June 27th.
The original price of the Odyssey was $625 warbond and $700 credit. Inforunners constantly make these types of mistakes. I remember the price because I paid the extra $25 to CCU my Carrack to one.
Interesting takes, but I would have liked to see a list with ships that are actually released.
A fair call, although some ships that would then be on the list may not be ships I’d buy… who am I kidding I’d have them 😂😢 should I laugh or cry?
Yep I hear you, several have made that suggestion. Maybe we’ll look at doing another episode where we do the 10 best in game and or 10 worst in game at present.
@@algared6131 I would definitely watch that and take the advice!
Pledge,Pledge is all they care about
@@SourDiesel12475 well I mean they don't have a publisher, and they have to find money from somewhere to pay the bills and make payroll. Usually any business that doesn't make money, doesn't stay around long. That's usually how that goes.
Got here within 29s of the video being live according to UA-cam, never been so fast to anything!
Still not as fast as your dad was last night 🎉😊
The 315P should probably overtake the Titan once it's "pathfinder" functions are added. Its a fun and efficient daily driver now. With the tractor beam added it could assist with mining, salvage, and cargo. When it gets its "custom scanning package" I think it will be a good ship to pair so many large ships. The range, scanning, increased cargo, and tractor beam will make it the ultimate errand ship for something like a Kraken. Just a great swiss army knife since it is a nice small addition in almost any situation.
Obviously the big downside is lack of guns and its not quite fast enough to outrun the QED ships, but it is fast enough to maintain most of the distance if you see them coming.
The 315p is such a useful little ship I don’t do much combat so it’s perfect only wish we could fit a small bike in the cargo hold
I see the 315p as an autobuy for anyone who owns a Liberator. Combining scouting with a tractor beam in an XS pad means you got a lot of utility for most things you are taking the Liberator out to do. Whether moving saddle bags for mining or salvage from salvaging or just moving cargo around, with scanning for asteroids, salvage, or threats? it seems like a good choice. Only competitor is if some day they let the cutlass black fit the cutlass red's scanner turret since a black will sit on a Lib too.
I only recently found out that the Endeavor DOES have a quantum drive on the front end. Its rear section has the "jump" (wormhole) drive.
That's a relief to hear, but I kinda assumed it would end up being the case. The exploration module would at minimum need to jump to orbital markers or do the planetary entry, and you'd probably want to take the whole ship if you went thru a wormhole anyway.
"In this world nothing can said to be certain, except Algared's internet dropping out and the Inforunners recommending the Endevour."
… and Crucible 😊🤣
All started 5 years ago with a mustang alpha. Recently I melted everything and got the covoy pack now I own most of these ships. I would love to see more lists in the future!
The Odyssey is on the list? No. Just no. I could've understood the 600i Explorer (post proposed rework). I could've seen the Liberator as a valid option for that spot. Hell I could even understand the Perseus in that slot considering how logistically efficient (how much firepower for how few people needed to operate) it is. But the Odyssey? Not a chance would I ever consider the Odyssey a good value ship.
$700 for a ship that does nothing? An "explorer" that has absolutely no specialized exploration related equipment at all. A ship that has mining equipment you're not allowed to use for... you know, mining. No stellar cartography. No drones. No modularity. Less cargo capacity than the Carrack. Literally just an oversized freelancer. What does it actually have? I single full size hangar, capital ship shield and can "potentially" refuel out in the field provided you're in a region that has minable Quantainium... That's it! An oversized Freelancer and not much more.
Yet for some reason, CIG thinks it should cost $100 more than a Carrack. And the Polaris, which is only $50 more, has so much more functionality. Same full size hangar. Similar cargo capacity. Lots more guns. 28 S10 torpedoes. Same tier shields. Better Radar. Brig. Same Tier medical facilities or better. Bottom line, if you're already in that price bracket, you'd have to be insane to pick an Odyssey. As an explorer, the Carrack trounces it in every way that matters for $100 less. And as a capital ship, the Polaris trounces it in every way that matters for a relatively negligible $50 price difference. The Odyssey simply does not justify it's price tag. It's a terrible value ship. The Odyssey needs to be at least $200 cheaper before it would make any kind of sense. At the $700 price point it needs more functionality of some kind before it would even remotely have a chance of being interesting. Like adding some science labs. Something. But nothing more than a general purpose capital that does nothing? No. That's not even close to being enough for that price point.
I agree with most of the ships on yours list. And even the ones I don't agree with, I generally understand and can even agree with a lot of the reasoning for why you picked them. But the Odyssey, that one I just can't get behind. That ship just doesn't make any sense at all. Not from a functionality standpoint. And absolutely not from a value standpoint. Sorry to disagree.
Thank you so much for your detailed response explaining why you detest the Odyseey so much. It is thought provoking and I particularly liked you comparison of the Odyssey as a oversized Freelancer. However, there is no need to apologise for disagreeing. We disagree all the time. This sort of response is valued and appreciated.
I understand your aversion to the Odyssey, I share those same reservations. However, it does have advantages over the Carrack (although I think the Carrack is currently a more well rounded ship).
However we do believe, have always believed the Odyssey is a planetary survey ship. The position of what appears to be the sensor array in the same position as the Prospector and similarly placed mining head make me feel it will be able to take core samples and analyse them, the art work for the refinery seems to indicate a greater purpose, that’s a lot of greebling otherwise.
So what does the Carrack have over the Odyssey? a. jump point mapping sensors, which are great for a system explorer not so much for a survey ship. b. The drones and workshop enabling self repair. Important for a long range system exploration ship. c. Comes with a C8 and Ursa Rover to equip the Odyssey with these would add around $80USD to the total. Although these are part of the Carrack’s tool bag and while they show in the adoption terminals they are also lost if when the carrack is melted. d. The carrack has the cartography room ideal for a system explorer, however the Odyssey appears to have a cartography table, you can see an example of what I think we’ll have in the Odyssey in Microtech’s display room they have cartography and map tables on display. There is art work showing what appears to be a cartography table in the Odyssey and a table would make sense in a survey ship.
For me the biggest factor is the Odyssey’s size. For some reason I imagine the Odyssey as a carrack sized vessel, however it is a closer to the Polaris making it a corvette and thus a capital ship.
It is worth noting our own distaste for the Odyssey was not so much the ship itself but how it was marketed. It was pitted against the Carrack as an explorer rather than explaining what features it has that make it a good capital class surveyor. Who gives a rats about the Xian tech for the lifts, gravity generator, u less you explain how and why these are better for an explorer, similarly who cares about a rear facing viewing platform so you can see ships leaving the hangar. I want to know how the Mining head/ refinery work, I want to know what features are intended to be added that enable the ship to function in its role. It was this faulty marketing and constant Carrack comparison that undid the sale.
I’ll stop here because I do think I am rambling.
@@algared6131 Believe it or not, I agree with your sentiments in your reply. A lot of the functionality around surveying is the very functionality I wanted out of the Odyssey when it was first revealed. I saw the Carrack as a space exploration ship and saw the Odyssey as an industrial surveyor/prospector. Where the Carrack would discover and map out the region, then the Odyssey would come in and survey the points of interest in greater more localized detail than the Carrack could. And I saw the mining equipment as an important piece of that functionality. But then the Q&A came out and basically killed all of those expectations.
Seriously, I've never seen a Q&A with so many "No" answers. Where it specifically states that the mining head is exclusively for mining quantainium and exclusively for filling the tanks. Even going so far as to say we can't mine nor refine more nor other for cargo as there is no functionality in the machines to facilitate that capability. And yeah, I remember seeing the mapping table in the diagram too. It's been awhile since I looked at, but I'm pretty sure you're talking about the one that looked like it's situated behind the captain's seat on the bridge. Can't remember if it was on the sales page or an ISC. I distinctly remember seeing that, but I also have to temper that expectation against the Q&A specifically stating that there is no exploration specific equipment on board. Actually, I can probably quote that:
"What specialized sensors/scanners - if any - does the Odyssey have? I don't see any dedicated scanning/mapping rooms or equipment, what tools does it give its crew for exploration and making discoveries?
There are no dedicated rooms or specialized equipment as default but that doesn’t mean the Odyssey is incapable of performing these functions. A lot of future exploration gameplay mechanics will be driven from stations using MFDs, so the lack of a dedicated room doesn’t stop the activity from happening. (However, ships that have dedicated rooms for specific features will have buffs to their abilities as a result.)
If you want to improve the scanning functionality of the Odyssey, there are multiple ships that excel in the role that fit within the hangar, such as the Anvil F7C-R Hornet and Terrapin."
And for your hope of taking core samples and analyzing, I would've loved to see that too. That's why I specifically highlighted that I would love to see science labs added to the Odyssey specifically to accommodate that kind of functionality. But this where a lot of my issues with this ship comes from. The backers were clearly far more inspired by the Odyssey than CIG was. What we saw and imagined was a real exploration ship in the vein of surveying and prospecting. Only to watch CIG crush those expectations a few days later with the Q&A, telling us no exploration equipment, no mining, fuel only and only as much as your fuel tanks can hold, and as CIG put it:
"The Odyssey, however, favors a more generalized approach, with the flexibility to do a lot of separate roles depending on how you equip it with onboard ships, ground vehicles, and supplies."
In other words.... Sounds like a Freelancer with a hangar. That doesn't sound like a ship that justifies a $700 price tag and no more of an explorer than any other "general" ship. So why even bother to call it "explorer".
I really hope I'm wrong. I really hope CIG re-evaluates the role of the Odyssey away from what the Q&A states, and far more towards what you and I clearly want to see the Odyssey become. But for now, I have to CIG at their word, and I have to assess it based on those words. So as it currently stands, I don't really see the value in the Odyssey. Not by it's stated billing. Not at that price tag. Not compared to the Carrack. And certainly not compared to Polaris.
Here's hoping you get proven right.
@@valhallasashes4354 again you are mirroring my own reservations. Despite the looks the QnA was brutal. I hope it was backpedaling away from the stink created by the silly direct comparison to the Carrack.
My list for in game ships now:
1). Drake Cutter or Anvil C8X
2). Aegis Dynamics Avenger Titan
3). Origin 300i or 315p
4) Misc Reliant Kore (pronounced Core)
5). Drake Cutlass Black
6). Misc Freelancer
7). RSI Constellation Andromeda
8). Drake Corsair
9). Drake Vulture
10). Anvil Carrack
I know I actually listed 12 ships. They are actually in order by price/size and those points where two are listed are close in price with a similiar capabilities with some tradeoffs. I leaned heavily towards multi-role ships because it means you can do more in game with the ship.
The MISC Prospector and Argo Mole are good ships and you can make a lot of money with them, but they are very narrowly focused on mining. They can be used for other things, like running bunkers, but these mission won't be as easy as in other ships. But hey, some tasks require a scalpel and a scalpel isn't good for a lot of other things.
The Vulture has a cargo bay with a ramp and that makes it multi-role in my opinion. No the Vulture isn't a fighter, but neither is the Freelancer. The Vulture trades cargo space for the ability to salvage. Yes, I agree it should have more cargo space. I expext that once we have "munching" a single small fighter will fill the Vulture's cargo bay with RMC and other scrap.
Fighters are also scapels.
Thanks for the content.
As a longtime subscriber, there was only one surprise and that was the Odyssey, but after the explanation it fits the InfoRunner mantra of “Easier to earn down than up” (which I personally disagree with in this example)
It’s hard for me to say what my top ten would be because I see every ship as the Ship +crew +support vehicles and their crew +speculated operating costs.
From a strictly a “Bang for the Buck” viewpoint
#1 Endeavor - because the modules are “buy in game” with zero insurance, separating command module adding game play, and a wide variety of specialized science game loops
#2 Retaliator base - again an empty modulator platform with this time the loaner is the only pre loaded available atm. I can not see the base staying at $150 +15% usd.
The rest is up in the air due to some being at concept pricing and others with post flight ready price bumps , but this already is a long comment.
Best value would be a starer pack with a Mustang. Here are 10 reasons:
1. Get acess to the same game for 50$ that others have to spend 25,000$ to enjoy.
2. Save yourself a years (or decades) of waiting - play now.
3. Have satisfaction from building your fleet in-game.
4. Don't worry about reaching end-game - just go play something else.
5. You lose nothing if game turns out a fail.
6. You don't have to beg CIG to release game loop for your ship.
7. You don't have to get pissed that CIG has nerfed your ships 6 weeks after release.
8. You don't have to worry about your ships having LTI or price increases.
9. You can stop playing whenever you want to without feeling that you have over-invested.
10. Piss off concierges with your ships purcharsed in-game with ease.
My top 10 value for money are under the assumption of being able to CCU chain (most via old BMM CCU), since otherwise many prices would be too far away for me to even think about.
1. BMM (who'd have tought). It's not one specific aspect, but rather the amount of things it can do as well as being a capital (?) alien ship with unique design.
2. Perseus. I might eat my words on that, but it's a super crew efficient ship. You won't beat capitals with it, but a large portion of ships and jobs are in the medium-large range, and the Perseus would be the biggest fish in that pond. ATM it's a 25$ "upgrade" from a BMM, which in direct comparsion makes little sense. But if you can have BMMs at 250$, having it at 275$ can make a lot of sense. It also has some versatility thanks to a being able to transport a rover, meaning you could use it for Bunker runs with friends.
3. Orion. While it's gonna be a pain to use with all the escorts it needs and mining might not be for everyone, that thing has to print money and I do not expect CIG to ever make a miner "above" it, as the Orion is "too big" and a bigger ship would have to be in the Javelin price range, where it would not be appealing due to the Orion's existence.
4. Polaris. It's not a perfect ship and it has plenty of flaws, but 4x S10 Torpedo Tubes with 7 Torps each are a serious statement.
5. Odyssey. Again, as a "upgrade" from a heavily discounted BMM. I'm not entirely sure what to think of it's "fuel mining" gimmick, tough.
6. (Released after the Video) Zeus Mk. 2 ES. Reasoning for the ES being the extra shield, bigger Radar and bigger Fuel Tanks. Having a S3 Radar on such a small ship should give it the ability to detect before getting detected. While it "only" has 32 SCU, it might be a potent hauler if used to deliver rare things over long distances.
7. The Ship I always forget, the Apollo. It's planned to be able of having 2x Tier 1 beds, the best in the game in a medium sized ship.
8. Railen. It's a bit weird, but comes with reasonable stats and looks cool.
9. Avenger Titan / 315p, I can't pick one over the other. Personally, I prefer the Avenger's looks, but the 315p's tractor beam might be very handy when used with a bigger ship.
10. P-72. It's a snub and lacks a lot of functionality, but it's a good racer for it's price.
INFORUNNERS!!! And I hope you are feeling better now Algred after some time
Also my top 5 ships I plan on owning or already own
Vulcan
Reclaimer

Retaliator w/ cargo module
Polaris
Yes, thank you for concern. I am feeling a lot better and finally COVID feels like a distant memory.
best ship to buy is anything you understand you want after playing a year from a starter, less is more. (one single ship you want and a starter for fast respawn , the key is to let go of control and buying everthing, buying security, buying a future, unless that really what you want.) bravo great list !
Really want to see a Crusader starter and an RSI advanced starter still. I’m liking the cutter base and variants are looking good so hopefully we see more of this.
Cutter is a really nice little ship. It will be nice to see variants, as the ship teams train up new staff I think we may see more small ship variants.
I love my cutter. It’s a great taxi to get around in and has legs to go everywhere and barely use any fuel.
Endeavor, crucible, reclaimer, Orion, carrack (modular), Caterpillar (modular), Redeemer (modular), Galaxy (modular), Cutlass Black, Cutter.
As a Crucible owner, I'm looking forward to its release. It's frustrating that it was on the road map for some work, but then yanked with no sign of it since on the road map. However, with gameplay still restricted to Stanton, and repairs instantaneous, I don't think there's much use for it yet. That won't come until landing pads are more scarce, and/or repairs actually take longer than the amount of time needed to push the repair button.
If I recall, John Crew said during one of the annual ship roundtables that the Endeavor had nearly doubled in size.
Good things come to those who wait 😌
I don’t recall hearing that but that fits with what we’ve be saying for ages. You just need to look at the size increase of the Orion to get an idea of the growth the Endeavour will need. I think it was Paul, who was told at one point that when the looked at all the features the Endeavour had it was bigger than the Bengal. Although I imagine that would have been an early white box, let’s just put in everything with corridors just to get a scale. Personally, I cannot see the Endeavour reaching that size, a Javelin’s length, maybe.
This ship will not be released in the next two decades, I'm afraid.
All of these are great values, yes, but I think I have them beat with my Liberator that I got for less than half price!
I liked your comments about the Odyssey and the Polaris. I would put both of those in the same class as the Carrack and to a lesser extent the 890. Not sure what I'd call that category other than "big ships, with a hangar for a scout ship, and a vehicle bay".
I really like the Odyssey because it has (in my opinion) a much better interior layout, but I'm liking the design of the Polaris as well, can't wait to see it in game.
I'm curious why the Galaxy is missing. Is it just because its price is a bit higher, or are you taking into account the frustration (possibly) of swapping modules?
When I look at it, I see it as being capable of whatever task you've set your mind to, just incredibly versatile, and still focused in function.
Great video as always, but im sad to see the caterpillar wasnt on this list! Even with misc fury’s out this should be a at least a runner up 😢.
I can taste the carrack owners tears when Execute said "earn down to the carrack" from the Odyssey 😆
I have to admit I felt them myself, yet when you consider the Odyssey is a larger ship with a full hangar, rather than a bespoke one, which is also linked to the cargo hold/ garage and is an explorer, (planetary survey ship -speculative on my part), and it’s current price is more than the Carrack, and so will increase. He may be right.
I look at the Carrack and see it’s value in all the systems it has including the C8 and Ursa. But equally when considering the Carrack’s value as a ship, it price is likely inflated by the cost of the Ursa and C8.
While both are broadly categorized as Explorer / Expedition vehicles they are likely different specialists. It’s harder for me to apply the Capital will always earn more than the Large in this case.
From a “Best Bang for the Buck” standpoint the Carrack loses points coming pre loaded with the Ursa and C8, there increasing the bundled price
@@jvoodoochild2755 thanks for the input, I 100% get that and yet, I still, always view those preloaded vehicles as a positive. It is in all likelihood that nowadays the price is inflated because of those preloaded vehicles, and I probably need to shake the original concept price and value from my head.
@@jvoodoochild2755 yup I gave a more detailed response elsewhere
Let's not forget that while the Endeavor is only $350, its modules that give it all those possibilities cost a LOT more together. Wasn't the master set $900 originally?
Somehow the Avenger Titan has become my #1 "Go-To" ship again after a number of years ignoring her (bought using earned in-game aUEC of course). By the way: no toilet and no kitchen so, with the inevitable gold-standard update, I hope CIG adds sufficient physical drawer/cabinet space to store enough food and drink. Maybe a modular porta-potty on one of the 8 SCU ?
Thanks for feed back.
I really like the ideas and opinions here. One thing I'd also be interested in is taking more of a player focused look at what are some of the best ships to own for a single player (or maybe a duo of players), maybe 1 or 2 ships that can be used to then get other ships in-game. Right now I'm trying to think of what 1 ship I want to own with actual money for the game, ideally that would let me make money in game to then buy ships in game. Currently I own a BMM and a Zeus MR. I'm really thinking of melting the Zeus this IAE and buying a Vulture with LTI/10yr, and a CCU to the Zeus for later (and maybe a cheap CCU to the Crucible too, for holding on to). My thinking is the Vulture will be pretty good for making money right after a wipe and I enjoy salvage. I can use the Vulture right after a wipe to go and do salvage and make easy UEC, and then use it to buy other ships in-game for combat and general use. With the ships I have now from the BMM and Zeus MR it feels like my best path to make money after a wipe is bunkers or up to MRT bounties, and that salvage would be much faster/easier to get going from a wipe.
Great video guys! Glad you mentioned the Retaliator Al - I love all the possible modules it might get, especially that Titan suit recharge station they talked about in the past. I also love the two module bays - could be quite versatile! :)
lol, I own 5 of the 11 ships. Watching yall has def had an impact on my fleet haha
Then all I can do is apologise. :). Thanks for watching.
@@algared6131 haha no worries. In reality y'all just saved me from having a lot of entry level ships. For a while I thought about trying to get on a Fix My Fleet, but I kinda fixed it just by watching y'all and getting more into the CCU game.
Ooh I'm really looking forward to watching this one. Going to save it for bedtime.
I think if I was Al I would seriously look at Starlink there is no way I could deal with connection problems that often.
For future reference it is best to title it as “10 Best Ships to Buy in Star Citizen” or Top 10 Ships to Buy in Star Citizen.” Love your work and detailed knowledge in all things Star Citizen.
Legionnare is now only 120 usdollar, it will be the only ship a space hobo ever needs to venture into deep space. Eventualy we going to need a specialized vehicle for breaching. I think it is also important for group players to have atleast 1 otherwise it going to be a pain to get back a stolen (capital) ship in a remote region of space, especial with PES I am not sure if larger ship will be out in space (undocked) and someone can scan it down like in eve and then takes it.
The Redeemer is a fine ship, but it is also one of the easiest combat ships in the game to get away from. A king on Defense, but a tubby hufflepuff on the chase. Not my first pick for full-relese bounty hunting.
Lo and behold as soon as I read the title my immediate eyeroll thought was Endeavor/Crucible duh LOL. I couldn't miss hearing the other 8 though, so good entertainment guys!
Great segment guys. 👍
Thanks.
I really can't get behind half this list is capital ships.
Realistically you're not gonna have 10-20-30 crew
A problem that only becomes bigger when everyone owns a BMM and nobody wants to be crew
thank god i bought the UEE Exploration Pack for 600 bucks back in the day
10 must buys for me, in no particular order would be..
Redeemer
Cutty black
Polaris
Merchantman
Endeaver
Orion
Carrack
Retaliator *w/modules*
Hull D *C cant land either so might as well go big*
Reclaimer
As much as i like them, i left out the idris variants and the javalin because of their price and crew size requirement makes them too niche for a single person to think about. NPC crews will help, but those ships cant accomplish anything more than one of the other options i listed, i.e. polaris can accomplish what the idris does, but imo better. Javalin is just too massive. Kraken is also a good pick i wanted to put, but you need a big fleet for it to be a viable option, and the privateer isnt worth it over a merchantman imo
Also wanted to say about starters, the go to ones for me would be the cutter, the 315p, or the avenger
@bilosbilly7908 gets it. Make a list and grind. No need to spend beyond a starter pack.
Also, you could probably make bank crewing a friend's or org-mate's ship.
When comparing Cutter against the Avenger, you forgot not only the toilet and shower, but also 3 other things: 1) the weapon rack where you can even store a Railgun, and 2) shared storage your mates can access, 3) tall door which a Dragonfly can go through (Dragonfly cannot get into an Avenger). The icing on the cake is an order of magnitude longer QT range and you get the best and most versatile runabout in this game. The only thing that is missing is if you want to mostly dogfight obviously.
I do find the Cutter a joy to fly and for me the bed pips the Pisces at the post. While i think the Titan is the best starting ship overall because it’s weapons and cargo space will give it greater longevity and ability to perform in a multitude of situations, I’ve recently found I’ve be opting to fly the Cutter. If I go bigger it’s usually the Connie Andromeda.
@@algared6131 The only case where Pisces is a better choice is if you want to squeeze it into a tiny hangar. Otherwise, Cutter owns Pisces.
@@AngelicStreak no argument from me in general, that was my point. One area the Pisces C8X does trump the other starters is that it has two jump seats. Neither the Aurora MR, Mustang Alpha, Cutter, 100i series or Avenger Titan can make that boast - even so I personally don’t think that trumps a bed.
The cutter was designed for Pyro wasn't it so you're able to live on it for a bit longer?
If when tractor beams are implemented, a price increase for any ship that has been orginally concepted with tractor beam would be absolute BS!
And im saying this as a Cat Owner. 😅
Don't buy any ships till launch. That's my new method. Vote with your wallets and stop making Chris roberts retirement fund bigger
Cool. I'm really interested in owning 6 capital ships. Sounds like a great idea!
I'm looking forward to the Crucible whenever it decides to come out
I don't care about price. Also limited the list to best general purpose ships at various price points
Kraken
Odyssey/Carrack
600 explorer
Taurus
Corsair
Freelancer Max
Titan
Cutter
So this was really so old it was before we knew about the Cutty and Titan price changes? ...Notice Execute has said in multiple videos now that the 315p has double the cargo capacity of the Titan but it's 12 SCU vs 8 SCU. :D
The only thing about the Titan is that it has a bed okay cool, and it has a kitchen, but it doesn't have a bathroom. So after you wake up from a nap you don't have to pee? After you eat you don't have to go the bathroom? It is probably strange, but that kills this ship for me. Cutter all day as the best starter.
I'd argue that the Retaliator base definitely belongs low on the list just because of the loaners at its price point. TWO bombers AND a gladiator for $150 is unbeatable.
ahhh welcome back? anyways good ship choices!
It’s another episode from the vault. Exe returns to Aus this week.
@@algared6131 the spiders await him
The argument that you can earn down from having a capital ship off ripp is a bit of an odd one because you’re going to have to have the UEC and personnel to run it which is going to be extremely expensive.
It makes more sense to work up IMO
Exactly. They always forget you need capital as in money, to run capital ships. And you cannot buy UEC for money effectively (which is good IMO).
25:25 The Crucible will have a rotisserie-restaurant? I understand that correctly right? I can't wait having a good grilled steak on the rotating bridge while my ship is in the process of being repaired.😂
Yeah, what Execute was referring to was the bridge like a revolving restaurant, initially included so that you could control repair from the pilot seat by rotating the bridge to face the rear.
@@algared6131 To bad... no grill room buffet restaurant, the idea was be nice to have these kinds of facilities. Why not a bowling center? It is a capital repair ship after all.
I think the vulcan is a better repair repair ship. Easier to get into places
Alrighty Bois, I liked your list... but I've got 2 complaints. 1- I think it's a shame your list doesnt seem to take into consideration the idea of CCUing to a ship getting you discounts that make certain ships EVEN more valuable (such as high cost Banu MMs which even with only 3 or 4 CCU links can go down by a hundred dollars) or fail to gain value (like how low cost ships like the Cutter or Titan will never go down more than a ten dollar discount or so). With this in mind I have 2 lists. The first is the one that does not take CCUs into mind, like yours. The second list will be in a comment below and will take CCU considerations for the values.
At Store Value
1 - Endeavour (Long time Cult member)
2 - Crucible (I am a Deacon of the Church)
3 - Retaliator (Base, not Bomber)
4 - Reclaimer
5 - Avenger Titan/C8R (dependant on primary gameplay goals)
6 - Banu MM
7 - Prospector
8 - Nomad/Spirit C1 (dependant on weather the Spirit C1 can carry a ROC, if it can, delete Nomad)
9 - Constellation Andromeda
10 - Aurora LN
Honorary Mention - Aurora ES (the cheapest ship on the whole of the RSI store, and it has Cargo, internal storage, a Quantum Drive, AND it works as a snub for ships sized like the Carrack.
I didn't mention my reasoning for items, so if you are interested let me know and i will happilly explain why i placed what where! :)
Now, with consideration for CCU chains, being VERY conservative as I have saved much more than the conservative estimates I am about to give in some cases. Here we go!
1 - Crucible
Should a toilet be a prerequisite to future proof a ship purchase?
When will it be possible to carry a vehicle that stays onboard after you log off, or until you remove it?. And why has the Reclaimer been downgraded from what it was?
Wish you guys would speak up. I'm listening on a headset and can barely hear you and then ads come on and they're deafening.
Interesting, 6 of those “best ships to buy” aren’t even in the game. And won’t be for a very long time. Will probably still be years before we see some of those in. With none of them going to have any actual gameplay with them when they come out, and no one every going to use them but once in a blue moon due to the insane claim timers some of those bigger ships will have. What is the value you’re basing these suggestions off of?
If we are talking buying ships we are referring to those we would recommend spending cash on. So ships that are in concept are valid especially when those ships will also increase in price.
I thought the Retaliator was going to be the first modeler ship?
Top 10 ships
1. the endeavor
2. the endeavor....
I hope execute is having a good break ! :)
Top 10 ship but you have concept ships in your video ships that are not in game or you have never played in and can take another 10years to get in game WTF
Don't buy any, really.
If you don’t want to that’s fine, if other people want to that’s also fine.
@@arkman117 No, it's not fine. And my opinion is bigger, hairy and has pulsating veins!
@@YellowKing1986 lol
Lots of assumptions in this video, shouldn't rank something that isn't in the game yet.
Wow. This video sponsored by CIG. Give us your money.
This list is broken & irrelevant because it includes concepts. We're 11+ years in, compounded by SQ42 being a perpetual blocker means it is irresponsible to recommend concepts or recommend ships based on what they may be in the next two decades. Do a list of ten in game ships because those are the only ones that matter. Retaliator >>>>>> Polaris because I used it yesterday, today and two years from now when the Polaris is still being held up by poor management decisions & broken priorities at CIG. White box was a lie and the ship will be 'pinned' just like the BMM, and just like it has been multiple times already.
Many of you have indicated a similar feeling.
@@algared6131 Over one year ago I melted my $140 Orion, $325 Polaris, and many others. I used the credit to build fun, flight ready ships and I play the game as if it was a released product. I prefer an overpriced Eclipse today to a 'cheap' Orion in 2+ decades (no sarcasm). I can't be bothered to worry about what things may be in some far future when CIG finally releases SQ 42 and moves resources back to the game I actually want funded. Their lawyers recently called this PU a released product and that's exactly how I view it. Theory crafting had its place, and we're no longer at that 'honeymoon' phase.
#10 i couldnt disagree any more than i do now the odyssey is trash! if i wanted a garage i will fly my liberator and do more things better than the odyssey
i think since the cutter is so cheap it should be 9 or 10th place
i think the base retaliator at $150 getting a second retaliator as a ship loaner the value is insane!
i think the caterpillar is insanely under rated!!! this ship is and will be top of its class
BMM A) Has BIG guns for any ship B) is gonna be crazy expensive in game C) is the only TRUE multirole capital ship in that it can handle cargo, commerce, capital combat (to an extent), medical, and defend itself from fighters (kinda) all at once and finally and most importantly D) Is likely gonna be rep locked not just price locked.
Only buy ships you can buy ingame!!!
Aurora ES FTW
@@christianmolick8647well I think it is the cheapest quantum/ jump capable ship at iirc $20.
No chapters? Tsk tsk
Cannot recommend ships that do not exist, and for gameplay that does not exist. Doing so is pure fantasy, with no basis in reality.
Exploration and repairing and science and cartography COULD be cool. But not necessarily.
Everyone that paid money for the Reclaimer to be able to claw and munch ships have been bait-and-switched for a straw with no gameplay.
For "modularity" stuff like super colliders and telescopes, CIG has absolutely zero idea wtf to do with that. These are things that were concepted so long ago, it was literally for a different game. They will likely shoehorn in some BS beam interaction when they are finally forced to release it years from now.
I HOPE they will be cool, but nobody should by anything until it exists.
Ship number 10 isnt even in the game currently at all. So why the fuk is it in this list at all. These ratings should be only for ships currently in the game that we can use in game right now. Not a single damn ship or land vehicle thats still in resurch phase need their own show and ratings system. Because at the end of the day if its not currently in the game to use daily theyre all freaking useless.
Because it’s Execute and my list of what we consider. We invited you to add your own list if you disagree.
Funny you use words like cheap or steal in the context of ship pricing in real money. Nothing from CIG is a steal or cheap, extraordinarily expensive for what you get LOL!! Never ceases to amaze me that people spend real money on ships, CIG are laughing all the way to the bank ... and no CIG don't need sooooo much cash to develop this game, crazy. Still, proves that expression about fools and their money.
I have the crusader m2 good thing ❤
