The detailed videos are great, and it is nice to see the short version tie it all together. If I were to tackle this build, I would watch this short, complete overview first to get the big picture, as they say, then break out into the previously recorded detailed build segments. Thanks for spending the extra time to make this compilation available!

I wonder if you could mayhe a bandsaw not using large wheels but a series of gears stretched out horizontally in an arch since what your interested in is the span of the blade 🤔 think like the wheels that drive the tank without the tread. Woodgears would be best able to test this out

I do not mean all the negative stuff, and "why we left". We've seen that and understand. Just the good times (and some of it was quite funny BTW).

Nice!!!!! Compared to most of the click bait currently on UA-cam, this one is well thought out, as well as built for war. There's a couple of things I would have done differently for the wheel hubs and the tracking (based on my machining background), but this should be plenty good for your application. As I learned doing on site machine repair, there's more than one way to filei the feline....

I am trying to figure out what makes my new 14" bandsaw worth the 1400 dollars I paid for it. If I was given a piece of wood cut using your bandsaw, and a piece of wood from mine, what would be the difference if any? What is the difference in experience between this bandsaw and the Harvey Ambassador I own? I am not looking here for differences as in better or worse, rather things like more noise, vibration, the cuts are rougher, much slower, or faster, or it smells bad, or whatever. But difference rooted in our 5 senses, please.

Mattias is right. The more wheels, the faster the blade eventually will wear and break. Also bench top saws use to be popular in the 80s with 3 wheel design. They were phased out as they were a pain to adjust to get the blade tracking correctly so most people regarded them as cheaply made.

Yes, the closure. That is one of the most important parts. I brought home a used bandsaw once and was so excited to use it, but the guards rattled ALLOT! Naturally, I just took them off. It worked so well right from the get go that I had to share the experience with my wife so I called her in to my shop and said watch how well this thing cuts! I was cutting a rocker, for a rocking chair. I fed the front part of the rocker into the blade watching the point of contact with the blade and NOT watching the back of the rocker. I unceremoniously fed my ring finger into the blade on the backside of the band wheel. about 3/4" deep. I filleted it neatly, almost professionally, against the bone. Yes,we do need The blade guards.
