I was also wondering if you could use HTV instead of permanent vinyl and if so if you have to seal again for that. Thank you!!
As always 👏👏👏. I'm so impressed with what can be done and how you work. Thank you Ms.J, I noticed you didn't mention the Cricut Joy. I just got mine and I can hardly wait to see what you will teach using it!
That's right, LaShawn, because Cricut didn't release a Joy 3! 😂 But, I do have an online workshop already that you might want to take a look at. Love your videos ! But I noticed you only have one small felt project. would be great to see you do a 11 inch large 3D felt stuffed animal or something
We designed and made them on our 3D printer. We plan to share the print files on our blog later this summer for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables.
Hey Jennifer I love all your videos, I also love how you stack your machines up, how you do that, what do you use, I have a really small area so that would perfect for my two machines

I just purchased the maker thinking I could make larger signs like that! Oh no!!!!! purchased it because I thought I read it could but large designs without having to piece it together! 😞
So does this mean the 12ft maximum length can be a proper design rather than repeated cuts all the way?! This is amazing! Can you use any vinyl roll or does it have to be smart vinyl to feed through the machine?
Yes, the maximum design length is 12 feet! Isn't that cool? The way I understand it now, Smart Vinyl is the recommended vinyl on a roll and no other. You may see me doing some experimenting with other kinds in the future, as long as it won't void my warranty! They are still so new that there are still questions about what works and what doesn't! 😍
You could make a sign, Bonnie, however it couldn't be the same size! The maximum cutting width for a Joy is 4.5", and this design is wider than that! If a smaller sign would be ok with you, it's easy to do! Make sure the design you want is selected and go up to the "Size" bar on the top of your Design Space canvas (Windows). Keep it locked, and change the "W" to 4.5. The length will automatically change to 30.4". There you go! Smaller but still as cute! 😍

Hello! I was wondering if I could make this sign horizontally instead of vertically? Also, can I make this on my explore air 2, as long as I individually cut the pieces and align it with the registration lines?
I have a question: cricut can be a little pricey for me as I’m a 13 year old addicted to cricut but the other day I bought an off brand off cricut mats called the paper studio. Have you ever used it before? Can you wash it?
Jennifer thanks SO much for all your helpful tips! I’m a newbie of 2 months with the Maker. One quick question: do you see any problem applying a 2nd coat of polyacrylic over the vinyl? Or simply unnecessary? Thanks!

All I see is "smart materials" but I don't know if that includes stencil vinyl. I've searched everywhere and cannot find the answer to this question and I don't see any stencil vinyl in cricut's smart vinyl line.
It can cut up to 12' of smart vinyl. I use permanent vinyl for stencils because I like the way it seals to avoid bleeding and it can still be removed easily.
Sorry I ask a lot of question but your just so good at getting back to me in the comments section but when are you going to do the drawing for the giveaway
What makes the Cricut 3 different to,accept the smart vinyl? Is there a sensor or can you make it work on a maker or explorer 2? I know that the 2 feet is the max length. I rare cut very very long items. I’m just wondering if it is worth it. My explorer is older but my maker is new.
Just got my Cricut and I tried to connect to my iPad and didn’t work , what do I do ): what app do you use? I’m so sad I wanna start projects like this one you show!

So sorry you're having trouble locating your book! No worries, we are HAPPY to help you find it! You should have received a download link in your email. After your purchase, in addition to there being a download link, you should have also received an email with the heading, “Your JenniferMaker Book is Here!” Sometimes this will go to your spam/junk folder, or if you paid using Paypal, it will be sent to that email address. I did not find an order under Kid Jayjay. I am not able to message you from here so please send them an email at hello@jennifermaker.com and one of our Maker Experience Experts would love to help you get this fixed. 💜
Hello I would like to use these exact designs on my maker but I’m not able to ungroup the letters so that they are able to cut individually. Do you have these designs available for the maker? I’ve watched the vertical sign video but these are the designs I would like to use if possible.
I designed these for the Explore 3 and Maker 3 when they first came out to show how you can use the smart vinyl. Since you already saw my other welcome sign, you could choose the square shape and then slice each letter out to be able to make this on the Maker. 😊

Could you post the answer to my question on Facebook cricut mug press groups! There is a lot of discussion about after you use the cricut mug press with the infusable ink or sublimation you cannot put them in the dishwasher because the heat from the dishwasher fades the ink on the mugs. Can you please give us your answer to resolve this discussion. People are not wanting the mug press now because of people making these comments! Hope you receive this message!

Jen I have a question that EVERYONE that owns any cricut machine has. How do you officially and permanently delete an upload image? Every single time I delete pictures it deletes, but it is still showing I have it when I go back into it within seconds. Being that you are familiar with all things Cricut maybe you can help us all out with this ongoing issue.
Hi Aisha, I'm not sure which device you're using Deign Space on, however on desktop you open your uploads and look on the bottom right hand corner of the image. There is a circle with an "i" in it. Click that and delete your image. Thanks for watching!😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker I have been trying to delete images for almost a year using my iPad, laptop, and even my android phone. Come to find out everyone I speak with are having the same exact issues using different devices. We click on the “I” delete pops up. We delete our image, it goes away but then we realize after closing out and going back in, the image we deleted appears again. Watch you’ll see I am right (try it) the image doesn’t actually delete. It’s time for me to try and contact Cricut customer service AGAIN. But thank you.
With vinyl, Kelsey, we have found that painting the wood first is the best idea! You want as smooth a surface as possible for the vinyl to "stick" and bare wood alone, even after sanding, doesn't give a great result. If you like the look of natural wood, I would suggest using your Cricut to cut a stencil and use it to paint on your sign, like I did in this tutorial: 😊 jennifermaker.com/vinyl-stencils-painted-wood-signs/
Of course you can but not with the smart material. Here is another way of making these with your Explore Air 2. jennifermaker.com/vertical-welcome-sign-porch/
Yes, you can make this on the Joy. Cricut Joy Maximum Sizes: Matless cutting cuts one image up to 4.5 inches wide and 4 feet long or repeated cuts up to 20 feet long Small mat cutting area is 4.25 inches x 6.25 inches.
The only reason I haven't made any of these is I don't know if you need to seal it again after the Vinyl has been put on the sign that is the only thing that I can't find anywhere? Can anyone please answer this for me? thank you.
@@JenniferMaker I guess I didn't ask my questions properly. I know if it is outside the board needs to be sealed you said so in your video. My questions is you showed only sealing it before you put the vinyl on. Does it need to be seal again after the vinyl is on the board to prevent anything damage to the vinyl?
@@nicklee1977 TheANdroid doesn't have the curve feature, but you can do it if you put some text in and tap Isolate Letters. Then tap Shapes, tap Circle, and size the circle to be about the size of the curve you want. Now move each letter so it's base lines up with the circle you made. As you work, you'll want to rotate the letters to match the curve of the circle. When you're done, delete the circle and select all of the letters and Attach or Weld them.

You can enter directly at our blog jennifermaker.com/cricutgiveaway 😊🌻
Does this only accept smart vinyls? I use Oracal 813 Stencil vinyl quite a lot so can this also be used on the new explore 3?
You can use all of the same materials on the Explore 3 as the Explore Air 2.
What makes the Cricut 3 different to,accept the smart vinyl? Is there a sensor or can you make it work on a maker or explorer 2? I know that the 2 feet is the max length. I rare cut very very long items. I’m just wondering if it is worth it. My explorer is older but my maker is new.
They have built in sensors. Here is a tutorial that goes more in depth. jennifermaker.com/cricut-explore-3-maker-3
Just got my Cricut and I tried to connect to my iPad and didn’t work , what do I do ): what app do you use? I’m so sad I wanna start projects like this one you show!
What I would suggest, Desirey, is taking a look at our free online workshop for new Cricut owners! I tell you about Design Space (the software we use to work with our Cricuts) and will help you with setting up your iPad and all sorts of other information that will get you crafting in no time!! You can find information about it here: 😍

Where do you buy the bigger rolls of permanent smart vinyl?
They have the in your local craft stores and online as well on the Cricut site.
Hi Jennifer 👋 I paid the $19 for your e book but didn't get the download 😢. How do I receive it? Love your work and knowledge new to cricut as received a maker as a birthday present x
@@JenniferMaker I have emailed you. X
Is there anyway to do a cricut vinyl cut around the 1 metre length with normal vinyl? Or does it have to be smart vinyl?
It does not have to be done with smart vinyl. Here is another tutorial. jennifermaker.com/vertical-welcome-sign-porch/
@@JenniferMaker thank you so much, I'm going to give it a try.
Love the your videos. May I ask where you purchased your machines stand?
We designed and made them on our 3D printer, Daphnee! Aren't they cool? We plan to share the print files on our blog later this summer for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables. I can't wait to share them! 😍
@@JenniferMaker oh wow 🤩 the fact that you made make it way more cool 😎 I love it
your always asking us to ask you for ideas. I want to make a reserved sign for a RV / motorhome but I can’t find any pictures on design space access for motorhome /RV , all there seem to be small V/W camper van. All want is a simple outline picture.
thanks for any help
Great idea! It's best to Google what you're looking for and "free SVG" I'm sure you'll come up with a bunch of options! Thanks for watching!😊🌻
Hi there! Does the Cricut Maker 3 cut regular cardstock without a mat or does it only cut smart materials without a mat?
It only cuts smart materials without a mat. Regular card stock will need to go on a mat.
@@JenniferMaker Thanks! That's good to know. I am about to purchase my very first cricut machine and really want to learn more about it and the materials and tools that I should get. Do you think that the cricut maker 3 bundle is worth it?or should i just buy the materials and tools separately? 🤷♀️
Is there a way to use the new roll holder if it’s on a shelf or stacked above another Cricut?
I'm not sure, we haven't tried. Thanks for watching!😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker I always look forward to your videos and posts! I can’t wait for my Maker 3 to arrive!

Are the new cricuts better at cutting glossy paper for print & cut?
They are better at cutting colored paper! I don't know yet about glossy paper as I'm still experimenting with the new machines myself! 😊
question....where did you get your rack to stack your machines!

Should the back be painted or no? I'm new. Sorry
Totally your preference but I would seal it if it will be outdoors in the elements. ✨
Where did you get the stand that the cricut are on

Do you paint the back of the sign as well?
You can and you can make it double sided for a different season like I did with this one. 😊 jennifermaker.com/vertical-welcome-sign-porch/
Hi Kathy! I have not seen this in my own groups. If you have seen this in my groups, please pass along the links to those posts to my team at hello@jennifermaker.com and they will get them to me so I can take a look. ❣
Can you cut something more then 11.5" wide?
No, 11.5'' is the widest you can go, the length is the variable. Thanks for watching!😊🌻
Great info
Thank you!
When you click on the i of the design you want to delete it will still show up until you actually close out Design Space and then reopen it.
Does this pattern work on the joy too?
You can make it on the Joy but the letters will be smaller. You can cut it on the smart vinyl all in one cut. 😃
Can I use regular vinyl with maker3?
Absolutely can!
Is staining or priming the wood necessary?
With vinyl, Kelsey, we have found that painting the wood first is the best idea! You want as smooth a surface as possible for the vinyl to "stick" and bare wood alone, even after sanding, doesn't give a great result. If you like the look of natural wood, I would suggest using your Cricut to cut a stencil and use it to paint on your sign, like I did in this tutorial: 😊
jennifermaker.com/vinyl-stencils-painted-wood-signs/
So since I have a Cricut 2 i cant make these?
Of course you can but not with the smart material. Here is another way of making these with your Explore Air 2. jennifermaker.com/vertical-welcome-sign-porch/
Could this be done on the joy?
Yes, you can make this on the Joy. Cricut Joy Maximum Sizes: Matless cutting cuts one image up to 4.5 inches wide and 4 feet long or repeated cuts up to 20 feet long Small mat cutting area is 4.25 inches x 6.25 inches.

Yes! Thank you!
Can't seem to get an email for the password, so I am unable to get the designs to download into cricut design space

The only reason I haven't made any of these is I don't know if you need to seal it again after the Vinyl has been put on the sign that is the only thing that I can't find anywhere? Can anyone please answer this for me? thank you.
Hi! If your sign will be outside in the elements, then you would seal it with a polycrylic. ✨
You don't need to seal over the vinyl
@@alyssabrown-carleton6173 thank you so much for responding to me. doesn't seem like Jennifer was going to reply back.

The porch signs in the video are not for sale, I just teach you how to make them.
How do you bend letters in the design android app?
Hi, Nick! Do you mean make a word follow a curve?
@@JenniferMaker yes I want to bend words over and under a picture to put on a coffee cup
No wonder I can't find it , lol .. Thank you , I was going nuts trying to find it
