Be sure to offload your brush onto a paper towel before stenciling. If you swipe it on your hand, it should be really dusty - not wet. Let us know if you run into any issues! Happy painting!

I just started out this wonderful new hobby. My husband works with wood by making furniture, jewelry boxes, cutting boards, etc. So, there is always plenty of scrap lumber laying around. One day while I was shopping for items to decorate my patio, I stumbled on lots of wood stencil crafts. I thought to myself, "I can do this!" did you know you can freeze your paint roller but first wrap in plastic first and then when you go to use it of course unwrap the roller let it warm up for a few seconds then you will be ready to go once again

I just came across this video, lol a year later but I have a hard time with stencils they always bleed on me and I’ve tried everything. I’ll have to try the swirls and see if I have any luck with that, thanks
You're very welcome! We are so glad you found us! Please keep us updated! Also remember that after you put the paint on your brush, swirl off the excess paint on a paper towel. The paint should be really dusty when you start your project. Stenciling is definitely a layers game.

Hey Kathy! Here is a video on varnishing! We recommend a polyurethane varnish for outdoor signs and to varnish all sides.

Hi Patty. I’m doing the porch signs for our vendor events. Have a question: I used the Bullseye sealant on the knots but it leaves an area where the paint doesn’t adhere to as well as the rest of the board (it’s leaving a round, visible area that’s lighter than the area around it. What should I do?
Hi!! Thank you for contacting us and sending a photo to our email. Our customer service department is sending you a more detailed message. Red does not cover well. There isn’t as much pigment in red paint. This could be a reason for the discoloration. You could seal your entire surface first. Then add your shellac. You could add another layer of sealer if you wished. Then paint. It may take multiple layers of red to cover knots. You could also paint a gray layer before painting your red. Hope this helps!

Do you have to put any protective coat over the stain before adding the acrylic paint or can you just go right from stain to acrylic
We have not put a coat over the stain. We have not had any issues using acrylic paint over the oil based stains.
