I'm haing a beer while listening to this and it literally feels like I'm at the bar with these two. This got to be one of the best youtube content I've ever come across.
Listen to John with Kurt in this, Escape and The Thing commentaries- such a good hangout between two cool dudes making art and entertainment. Then listen to the Starman commentary with Jeff Bridges and the vibe is even more friendly and funloving. I know many in my generation give boomers a hard time, but goddamm the hippy generation seems to know how to keep their sense of humor and being down to earth.
Just calling someone a boomer instantly makes you a prick. Would you label a person who is black the n word? So why do you use boomer to generalise an entire age group. It’s fucking dumb
really appreciate you taking the time and making the effort. I do my best to purchase digital copies of all my favorite flicks, but the bonus content from media long ago donated or lost is not included. finding your channel has been such a great treat for this Friday. Thank you friend! subscribed!
23 minutes in, the discussion turns to who was the lead and who was the sidekick. I am on the BTILC facebook page and we discuss this quite a bit. Personally, I never thought of the movie as "lead" and "sidekick" I thought it was two friends who had each others backs no matter what. But, I must add that I am also an idiot. Jack and Wang together just fucking worked for me big time. I own VHS/DVD/youtube/amazon copies of it. We were talking about why it wasn't a bigger hit, but if you look what came out at the same time, and how much better the other movies were marketed, you see how this movie got screwed. I saw an ad for it in a martial arts catalogue after the cinematic run was over, and had to rent it at blockbuster. (remember those doods ?) I watched it over and over till I passed out. My GF Yvonne thought I lost my mind. HAHAHAHAHA
On the criticism of the movie that there is no "real danger" that is common in this type of light hearted adventure. Did anyone think Indiana Jones wasn't going to make it? 😂
for you hardcore BTILC fans out there, the Janet Jackson video that used the BTILC set was called "when I think of you" ua-cam.com/video/EaleKN9GQ54/v-deo.html

Thought I was the only one. I do this too
Plenty of laughs alright. The rock Dwayne Johnson is currently doing a remake
That's sad. You probably have kids

Big Trouble in Little China Audio Commentary otherwise known as Kurt Rusell and John Carpenter shooting the shit for 2 hours.
4 days ago I had never seen this film. Now I've seen it 4 times, 2 with commentary.

I put Big Trouble in Little China on my TV and matched up the audio while i listen to this interview. Pretty cool 😎
his laugh is contagious.
that's what's called "charisma". 👊
I know I'm pretty randomly asking but does anybody know of a good site to stream newly released movies online?
YES!! Thanks for all the Carpenter commentaries.
just finished listening to this, oh man was it worth it . I had a blast
Crazy to hear Kurt talk about a young Wyatt knowing now he's as an incredible actor as his dad is
Same with John talking about Cody who now composes and plays in Carpenters band.
Two buddies being buddies. It's good stuff.
Greatest film ever made.
I didn't know John Carpenter did this. It's a favorite of mine, no wonder it's such a great movie. Kurt Russel is hilarious. Such a cool movie.
The movie that spawned Mortal kombat, Carpenter is genius!
Nothing to do with Mortal Kombat. Lmao
@@vandamme6379 even Boon admitted himself, the influnce is obvious especially on the first three games

Funny, he's talking about Wyatt when he's a kid and now he's a great action start in his own right. Overlord was awesome.
If Russell is fifty here, then it's 2001.
Or early in 2002. 😉

Top 10 for me.
Movie or commentary?

Fact: Kurt Russell finds this Hollywood shit absolutely _hilarious._
Both 'Big Trouble' and 'Lebowski' are great movies to serve as barometers for the humor and character of potential new friends haha
Oh mate absolutely! This comment is solid gold.
I love their commentaries on the films they did together. Kurt's laugh is contagious. Is there a commentary on Escape from LA?

Love this channel!!
Glad you enjoy the variety, more on the way :)
Why did the titles all change language? That's very confusing...
Titles are a way to deter copyright issues
"Yeah it did uncle chew, 2 hours ago tall guy weird clothes,, 1st you see him then you don't" Jack Burton 1985
Which one? "little basketcase on wheels or a ten foot tall roadblock"
Drop out FilmSchoolers! Just listen watch as many films as you can, make videos for youtube, and listen to Carpenter and Ridley Scott commentaries
Awesome thank u!!

You're doing the most amazing job with this channel! Made my year discovering it :)
Any chance of getting The Fog (1980)? Love that one
Love it.

Is the title that way to avoid a copyright strike?
Yeah it must be
Fascinating, F. U. Egg!
