Kurt Russell has one of the world's greatest, most infectious laughs. Anything with these two in a room telling war stories is automatic for the time capsule.
Hard to believe that this commentary track is already 24 years (1995) old, released only 14 years after Escape from New York on it's original Laserdisc.
Jeez depressing that LA and St Louis were used for ‘futuristic crap New York’ *cry* I lived in Detroit many years and the descrips they give are so similar to that city UGH
I will say, thank you for this, cause the DVD that I have of this movie *_does not_* have this commentary included in it, which was odd to me. I believe every John Carpenter movie must always have an audio commentaries by him, whether old or new. Like for example, if there ever is to be a new home-video edition of _Halloween_ in the future: Commentary by J. Carpenter, Debra Hill, and Jamie Lee Curtis (from the 1990s) and Commentary by J. Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis (from 2013) I'm surprised there isn't commentaries for the 2018 film, I'd have expected something like one by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, and another by Carpenter and Curtis.
"these are wooden manhole covers, if you'd ever tried to lift one you'd know I've physically impossible..." I worked at a foundry and I can say with 100 percent certainty that we lifted the ever loving sh.t out of those things! ROFL! you put a bunch of men in front of a physical challenge for years, day in and day out and you'd better believe that one day they're all going to magically sprout the muscles to lift that sh.t! how? why? cause we want to show off how manly and cool we are! hahahaha!
Kurt Russell = National treasure LOL! This is fun. I recommend Carpenter’s commentary with Jamie Lee Curtis on Halloween - JLC is a total riot on that commentary!
I could listen to John Carpenter and Kurt Russell shoot the shit for hours
now i don't feel bad jumping from one commentary to the next, listening for hours. thanks friend!
The THING commentary is even better than this one.

I think, it's about time for us to get a second one.

Can anyone read what it say on the T-shirt in this photo?
The larger letters appear to be CAL-NEVADA
I think it is CAL-NEVADA Nuclear Power Engineering
CAL-NEVA nuclear power authority LINEAR VALLEY
From Neil Young's amazing film Human Highway!!
Algorithm.. Eat this.
Escape from New York Hindi upload karo
EFNY is John Carpenter's best film imo. Even better than The Thing. Too bad LA was such a misguided project.

Nope, he's a teetotaler, but his car is DEATH PROOF.
John Carpenter sounds just like Oliver Stone.
