Didn’t feel the need to correct the spelling of the films title then?
Listening to his story about working with the Wienstien's on both of these movies, I understand why it doesn't totally work.
Why do you spell your video titles so terribly?
The Brunswick Affair as a Canadian movie and not a real life incident.
never delete this masterpiece commentary on a masterpiece film, or keep uploading!
Came for Buuraid Rahneir, left when I found out it's that Alien jerk doing the movie with that sappy pontificating robot ending. /As is probably obvious, I couldn't be more kidding but the truth is this movie was an acquired taste. Like a fair number of people at the time it was released, I saw Harrison Ford in Sci-Fi movie when Star wars was fresh in everyone's minds and somehow felt bait and switched with unexpected noir and a bad guy that gets the upper hand by monologuing like no other bad guy at the end. Of course it's brilliant for what it is, and it's become a treasured favorite after a few viewings. Hey Carpenters The Thing wasn't well received either at the time. Different reasons for not liking it, but hey us old folks don't always get it the first time around.
This commentary was recorded in 1990. Scorcese calls Goodfellas his new movie about to be released.

I’ve listened to most of John Carpenter’s commentaries and usually he does them with a cast or crew member. This one, where he’s solo, is great. Tons of technical nuggets and introspection from him.
Carpenter > every other director. He's the pinnacle. Eat me, Cameron, Scorsese, and Tarantino
I am not sure how I stumbled on this video. Crazy titles avoiding copyright.
I still love this commentary. 💯 And Rob has the most relaxing voice. Surprising for a dude who did metal music.
Terry Funk was a Legend..
The score itself is chillingly beautiful
Lipstick in the boob is still a GREAT practical effect

Is there video to this it sounds like he’s is showing props
“See you later, baby.” - Arnold Schwarzenegger
Hey Paul Ballard brought me here
This needs re-uploading - there is constant repetition of what people are saying, as if the editing has been constantly duplicated. What happened to upload?

IF YOU WANT MORE PEOPLE TO WATCH THIS AND TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY THEN SPELL THE NAME OF THE FILM CORRECTLY, "GODFATHER," IN THE TITLE
Muy buena película, excelente guion, los mejores actores, todo muy bien. Me gustó muchísimo.
He doesn't say anything about the falling out he had with Bill Murray. They didn't speak again for many years, until Ramis was dying and Murray finally visited him and tried to make peace.
Thank you for this. That was a great commentary!
The're all on helium. 💨

Talk about the most greatest commentary ever!!! Change my mind 😍😍😍
Thank you 🙏
Mini Ferral!!!
I DID NOT CARE FOR THE GODFATHER - Peter
Ever wonder what did a kid Francis Ford Coppola sound like, here's your answer
The audio commentary is just darn cute when sped to 3 semi tones
This might be blasphemy, but I truly believe the commentary is better than the actual film
wonderful
Anyone else here read the book or listened to the audiobook?
Yes. Somewhat different from the movie.
I have been yearning for this for years and i'm so grateful to have stumbled upon it. mike is a treasure.
lol the audio is so screwed up that this is UNLISTENABLE, a piece of shit really. The guy who posted it was arrested for violating copyright and being an assh*ole
26:01 😂😂😂😂
George C. Scott was terrific in this film. Very raw and hard-hitting film.
Listened to this while watching the movie.
Schodiach?
i like your title better
Imagine this commentary with Keanu Reeves and George Carlin! 😄
Were these titles written by BAP?
36:00 “respect for life is ingrained in that music” Wow!!!
do you have the commentary with the writer as well?
Awesome. Why was this on a German version when he speaks English? wtf? Thank you for this.
Remembering watch channel UPN in Hollywood FL. Saturday horror movie marathon in October and seeing the tv cut preview and I was so amped up to see this film and it delivers . Such a good vampire film. Was obsessed with this movie
This came out when i was a boy and blew my mind. I do not like Star Trek. I love Star Trek 2: Wrath of Kahn. It remains one of the best films I know. Hearing this commentary, yes he is a gifted “storyteller”
