Anyone Who Is A Musician Knows That These Guys Need To Be In The Hall Of Fame
Some more Grand Funk songs for You Van, FOOT STOMPIN MUSIC and ROCK AND ROLL SOUL, from the same concert.
This band is one of the GREATEST ROCK BANDS OF ALL TIMES.
Craig Frost is the addition to the band and is also very talented. He went on to play with Bob Seiger for many years...GFR is THE most underrated band in history. They were the best band in the world from '69 to '75...selling out all over the world.
I agree that it’s amazing when the drummer sings lead, like Don Henley with Eagles. It’s just a whole other level of talent. This one was good. I hope your next rabbit hole will be Steely Dan. Great headband 🌺✌️
Awesome song and an amazingly incredible rock group. Too bad they can't find the love for each other
they had for one another again. It would be a great WORLD COME BACK TOUR .
Don Brewer, the drummer, also sings the lead in their most famous song..."We're an American Band"
Too bad he turned out to be a jerk. A talented jerk but nonetheless...
in my opinion the worst track... which brewer made claim to....
brewer is such an A-HOLE, even his first wife committed suicide
Were an American Band is when the band turned to a top 40 type band to receive radio play. Their first 2 years were great.
Adding the keys killed GFRR
The drummer(Don Brewer ) sang the lead on a few songs including We`re An American Band! This actually is my first time hearing this one and I really enjoyed it :) Keep On Rockin'
Have you heard Aimless Lady? It's one of my favorites
@@zeppelinfan9360 no I haven`t but I will definitely give a listen to it :)
@@deelawson4551 Hope you enjoy; if not, I have more choices. 😂✌️
Me too, first time hearing it. What a performance too! These guys rank very high up on the all-time greatest bands list. There isn’t a number system just an on-board knowledge of what they were, when they were-we’re still listening to them!! That says it all!
Mark would play keyboards earlier on for several years before they added Craig Frost. I guess they were looking to expand their sound without giving up Marks rhythm and lead guitar sound. Either way GFR always rocked especially their earlier stuff.
I call this their roller coaster song. What a musical ride.
Props to Craig Frost who was added in 1972 after the split with manager Terry Knight for some very tasty keyboards throughout the song!
The answer to your qurestion is no... No bad songs from GFR... The best thing to ever come out of Flint, MI.
One of my fav GFR songs. Most don't cover this song, thanks for this LFR!!
Oh man... you missed it again 😪
Heartbreaker (live)
It's one of Mark's best 😎🎸
+ You still haven't played their #1 song...
We're An American Band (promo cut)
(Another song w/ Don (drummer) on lead)
Thank you for all the sweet GFR tunes ✌🙂
& its gonna be tough finding a bad song from these guys !
Yesss!!! 🔥🔥🔥
YESS "HEARTBREAKER".
Saw them live in Branson,MO excellent! about 6 years ago.
one of the best rock and roll band ever. Don Brewer, Craig Frost, Mark Farner and Mel Sacher!!!!
"Heartbreaker" from this same concert is a must see.
I saw them live in the 70s and the 90s very powerful band great Rock
Yeah back in the 70s he’s got his room bad ass band I dig this van yes right black licorice is trouble
Until 1972 GFR was a three piece group but then added Craig Frost who'd been with the band in a previous incarnation in 1968.
We're seeing Vqn become a rock fan before our very eyes
They were initially a three man band, and the guy on keys came along later; I don’t know his name. I’ve never heard this, but I love it.
Craig Frost on keyboard.
Also creepin
I always loved the live "Caught In The Act" album..this is the actual song off that album.
You rock van 😎 some kind of Wonderful or American band is GROOVY 🍻
Grand Funk Railroad was my favorite band in high school I had their posters everywhere and their name painted on my jeans 👖🤘🏻
Now Sin's a Good Mans Brother and "Heartbreaker "and " Mean Mistreater" your rockin now!
It really is just 3 guys except when you need an organ (what we called keyboard players then) you get an organ player and that guy's a bad-ass wow!
GFR was my favorite band growing up in the 70"s , they just jam! Garage band with a whole lotta funk. So many awesome songs. listen to the song The Railroad , Mr. Limousine driver
You should listen to there live album called, Caught In The Act . My favorite song on that album is called, The Railroad Song it's an amazing song.
omg my all time gfr favourite! sad story behind it tho!!
Haven’t heard that in decades!!!
Got a GOOD one, Van! Humble Pie "I Don't Need No Doctor" live at the Fillmore ; ear fire, lol
BLACK LICORICE-A LONG TWISTED PIECE OF BLACK CANDY!
The keyboardist is Craig Frost. He left Grand Funk for a while and went to play with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and then he came back. He's a hell of a good keyboardist for sure.
Brewer played drums for Seger when he was still touring.
My brothers gotta love me some Grand Funk.😎
You should check out their song Heartbreaker from this same concert.
AMERICAN BAND!!!! I know you've heard it :)
So glad you're into Grand Funk bro! Keep'em coming!!!
Craig Frost was brought on for the keys later on. After this he played with the Silver Bullet Band with Bob Seger. He is amazing.
No they didn't make a bad song that I'm aware of. This band was my favorite , I have burnt up 3 cassette tapes on my favorite album of theirs. It was called Mark,Mel & Don. Still good music today! Great reaction
One word. Fantastic
Thanks man for me and their brother God bless you merry Christmas
Craig Frost on keys. He went on to play with Bob Sefer & the Silver Bullet band.
We used to stand on the sidewalk across from his house after school & listen to them practice!
Good old days!! ♥️
Craig Frost was the keyboard player... KILLER chops, all of these guys.
You serve the people pretty well yourself my friend !!
Hell yeah! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
The last album that I really liked was Shinin' On. On Time, Grand Funk, Closer to Home, Survival, E Pluribus Funk, Phoenix and We're An American Band were all great Albums. I had most of the as 8-track too.
Love your reaction
YEAAAAHH BABY.
Listen to ZZTOP , Sharp dressed man. Just listen to it even if not in a reaction video.
Craig Frost on organ, keyboardist for Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet band.
Craig Frost was the organist for their last couple of albums...very talented...
AIMLESS LADY,FEEL YOU IN THE MORNING,you are right they never had a bad song, not one,we are talking about the band that sold out shea stadium, all concert halls, arena's,faster than the BEATLES,GRAND FUNK IS THE AMERICAN BAND,three piece bunch of genius musicians, who got screwed by their manager to the tune of 53 million dollars,GRAND FUNKS HISTORY IS TAINTED,THE TALENT IS GENIUS
Craig Frost, amazing organist
I don't remember hearing this song before, great song like all of their songs. Yep Don has a great voice also, makes me wonder how many arguments there were on who got to be lead singer on a song. Just like the female backup singers organ player an addon for certain songs. Many 3 piece bands will add an extra guitar player or other instrument for a song. Triumph another great 3 man band would add a guitar player sometimes. Checkout Triumph Lay it on the line.
Donna Hall from wet willie was Marks love interest at that time,i believe she had a child for him before he met leisa.....
So - You are looking for a bad GFR
song. Good luck😀
YAY! I knew you'd LOVE their music. They were my first love in music, then a couple of years later I found Led Zep. They added the keyboardist
They have NO bad songs!!!!!
Tragically among a long list of deserving bands NOT in the R&R Hall of Fame!!!
You are so right and for that reason the R&R Hall of Fame is a complete JOKE!
I really enjoyed that! I forgot about that song. The keyboard player's name is Craig Frost and joined Grand Funk in 1972.
You should play We’re an American Band if you want to hear the drummer sing!
3white guys from flint hollering about that sweet black P
You need to do creepin, stop lookin back and loneliest rider from the same album
Pretty much no bad songs, just badass ones. Shoot, some of the live versions are even better than studio ones.
You like drummers that sing check Rare Earth
More Grand Funk. Do ' The Railroad ' and a great instrumental called ' Flight of the Phoenix '.
ready for a change up to something smooth? How bout some blue eyed soul? A song about what Christmas really about...song titlr " Love You With My Life" by Bryan Duncan and the NehoSoul Band. Also song "Step by step" same live concert...stellar funk, vocals and musicianship! Get us in the right frame of mind for holiday season. Thanks and Merry Christmas LFR Fam
Thats Rock and fucking roll man.
Should try Shine'n On
Mad beats!!
Craig Frost on keyboards in later years.
yhr bass is killling it
American Band song by GFR. That was a goodie
Лучший живой концерт 70-х
Oh, hell yeah!!! Now, TNUC, live.....includes drum solo. Check it. Brewer us a beast!!! All in all the time!! Organ-Craig Frost.
React to live in NY...Flight of the Phoenix and Foot Stompin' music....awesome. Live from Madison Square Garden.
Grand funk does NOT have a bad song 🤷♂️
Influenced by Motown. Blue eyed soul dudes.
Craig Frost plays a RIGHTEOUS organ, clavinet and electric piano. Meat Loaf said he was the greatest organist he ever heard. So talented on the keys--he graduated to Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band where he still resides to this day!
on a par with jon lord of course!!
Love to your LFR family. I miss Jojo and his smile...

PRETTY MUCH ALL OF THE BACK CATALOGUE DUDE TOTALLY AGREE LMAO!!!!
They were a 3 piece on the 1st 5 albums, but Craig Frost joined on the Pheonix album on keyboards.
haha Yeah
Saw GFR about 15 years ago in NYC....they are still repairing the roof of the Beacon Theater because they blew the roof off!!
You are exactly right, the studio versions are worth a listen.
They brought in Craig Frost after the first couple of albums. He went on to play with Bob Seger... Great guy
GFR were great and do not have a bad song!!! After GFR broke up, both Don Brewer on drums and Craig Frost on keys went on to play with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band for many, many years!!! Don Brewer is one of the better drummer/vocalists in R & R and Craig Frost's work on keys is exceptional and unmistakable ~ when you hear it, you know it...
Lol. I like my candy, but geez, black licorice might keep me up at night
Please tell Miss Diane (your guardian - hope I remember the name right) that the headbands she made for you ROCK! She must be a wonderful woman - and you are a definite credit to her!
Inside looking out or T.N.U.C. same concert. 👍
Cool seeing you review this rock band!!!
That song just kicks hard as hell.
That is some funky stuff!
They added keyboards player Mark Frost in their later years . All The Girls in the world
Those skip beats by the drummer are fire.....and no, they made no bad music.
Grand Funk doesn’t have a bad song.
LR family you have to play the one the only shining on live in concert
Wow, thanks for all the GFR reactions. Have ya done "We're An American Band" features drummer on lead vocals. Total banger.
Had Grand Funk on 8 track.
Shininon on great album.
Don is definitely a great talent. And Mel on bass....damn!!! Mark Farner😋Craig Frost kills it on keys. This is one of their best IMO.Craig Frost came on board in 72 via their producer Todd Rundgren. He also played keys for Bob Seger.
They knew frostie from years back think they ended up in that fateful snow storm on cape cod with him but he left the band for a while after that....
