Don’t have tourette’s but i have ocd. And performing compulsions in public or in front of anyone is so embarrassing for me. I’m trying to get over it but having to repeatedly tap my head on the bus seat of repeat an action four times can really weird people out. I wish a lot of people could watch this video and understand that a lot of the “weird” things people do are probably for a reason, whether that be stimming, ticking, completing compulsions or anything else.
I really appreciate and respect that you showed us you ticking throughout the video, that was really helpful to my understanding of Tourette’s and the concept of ticking!!! I love this video and all of the content you produce! Thank you so much
thank you for making your videos. i started ticcing about 2 months ago and these videos make me feel a lot more comfortable and better that people go through the same things i do (because it has taken quite a toll on me, as i am a teenager). thank you so much jenny
I know where your coming from. I was diagnose with Tourette’s when I was in the second grade. I’m now 44 years old. The doctor had me on a medicine called Ridlin. I was on that till I was 18. doctors couldn’t believe how well I was doing. I know you said you tried this but I told the doctors I started smoking weed. I do still have some ticks, but I was really bad when I was younger. But I hope everything gets better for you. If you need anytime talk to I’m here.
Stay strong I have horrible anxiety attacks depression bipolar disorder and horrible Tick Attacks I used to have them as a child grew out of them now I’m back now they are back and they are worse I’m so embarrassed of who I am I’m from Canada Ontario 🇨🇦
Thank you so much Jenny. You handle this so beautifully, and funny too. I am raising my grandson, 10, who has Tourette's. This helped me to see how he must feel, since he doesn't talk about it. He doesn't know of any others who are experiencing what he is. This was really well done. We will watch you this evening together.
I really love this video and I appreciate you sharing your experiences and trying to help people. I have OCD myself and the tics feel very isolating as people often respond to them rudely.
oh my gosh I hate when people mimic my tics, it's so irritating. I really loved this video because it's nice to see an adult talking about living with tourette's. it helps me feel like I can live a normal life with my tourette's❤❤💕
I know this comment is a bit late but I understand what it’s like to have a disorder you can’t control. I have conversion disorder, ADD, OCD and Fibromyalgia. One of my symptoms of conversion disorder are physical tics. I also have absence seizures too so I’m always accused of being rude for “spacing out” when someone is talking when I’m actually having a seizure or being disruptive or my personal favorite “trying to gain attention by pretending to have Tourette’s”. Nobody would ever want any of these disorders, ever! I’m constantly exhausted and afraid to go out in public. I really hope things have changed for you for the better.
Love your video! I have some pretty noticeable tics and I always feel so uncomfortable when people come up to me and tell me about a friend\family member with autism or something not really related
I don't know why anybody in their right mind would want to fake tourette's! I hate it with every bone in my body it's exhausting af! I do neck tics, facial tics, wrist tics, shoulder tics and vocal tics! By the end of the day my body is so fucking sore that I pass out from exhaustion!
Thank you for sharing! Unfortunately, Tourette's Syndrome is one of the most misunderstood disorders, from which countless generalizations are made. Some people say the most ridiculous things, at times. Yet, I can assure you that such attitudes & remarks are seeded in ignorance & insecurity, as human beings tend to feel threatened by that, which they fail to understand.
You know, some people have never heard of Tourette’s, so maybe that’s why their questions are so stupid. I have HFA, SAD, and OCD-like tendencies. And a lot of people have never heard of it. I understand it’s annoying, but try to keep an open mind.
Don’t mind me. I’m just afraid of everything. I never said I expect everyone to know what TS is, I suggest that they keep an open mind as well and think of a considerate way to phrase their curiosity before they say it.
jenny Oh, I get it now. People always assume I’m smart because I’m on the spectrum. I have had straight A’s since kindergarten, but to assume that... I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be mean and close-minded.
I just answer their question honestly, if someone is genuinely curious I have no problem talking about it. Although I reserve the right to not be in the mood to answer questions if I don't feel like it too lol

Just a correction: motor tics are physical tics, not vocal tics
burnouts will recommend smoking a bong to fix absolutely any problem you have ever had in your entire life

How did you do your lipstick so perfectly?
I have ticks and tremors and people ask all the time what’s wrong. If people aren’t being rude, how to you handle real questions?
I just answer their question honestly, if someone is genuinely curious I have no problem talking about it. Although I reserve the right to not be in the mood to answer questions if I don't feel like it too lol
