I know this is older but i had to comment!
I definitely think there needs to be more youtubers like you! I dont relate to a lot of those videos either, and actually a lot of those other videos were inaccessible for me as a touretter. Not because of being triggered from their tics, but more so because of how they will highlight their tics or intentionally trigger themselves as if they're funny punchlines and whatever, catering to their non-ticcer audience to get more views. That is so toxic for everyone.
I just want to be able to watch and relate to someone else with tourettes without that being their entire thing and your channel is so refreshing and helps me feel less outcasted or othered in a way. Sometimes i feel othered in both non tourettes spaces and also tourettes spaces and it's strange and sad.
Also i totally felt that comment on how some ticcers can just.. tic so casually?!! Every one of my is accompanies by like stopping and tensing for it. Like i have to GET IT OUT. It doesnt just happen on its own. Idk lol!

Thank you for posting this video. It's so refreshing to watch a video about Tourette that isn't about throwing eggs across the kitchen. I actually found you through your breast reduction video (super helpful, btw!!).
Girl, I relate so hard. My tics aren't always super noticeable, so a response I sometimes get when I explain why I'm making weird noises is, "You don't have Tourette's!" A couple of my coworkers keep showing me Tourette's TikTok videos, and I'm just like, cool. I can't at all relate to those videos, like the alphabet Tourette challenges. Power to them for raising awareness, but I feel like that's a very specific type of Tourette, and my coworkers still seem flabbergasted when they realize I have tics.
Anyway, mini-rant over lol. Loved your video. It was like listening to a friend talk about what's been on my mind.

I totally get what you're saying! Like theres no wrong way to have tourette there's just not many content creators that I can relate to that have it. I'm sure you're coworkers think they're being well meaning but that would drive me crazyyy lol i'm glad commented! its nice to feel understood

Thank you for being honest with everything you said. I definitely find it hard to watch the other UA-camrs with Tourettes not only because their tics trigger my tics, but because I really can't relate. I dunno, but yeah, I appreciate you and wanting to do more than just that stuff because you are more than just your tics. You're awesome, and I always look forward to your vids!
Also, this is random but I remember you said you weren't sure what to do for your intros. I had a silly suggestion, but you totally don't have to do it. Just thought it was funny and wanted to share. Anyway, I thought it'd be funny if everytime you said "hey guys its Jenny" you use a different last name of a famous people. Like "hey guys its Jenny Marbles" or something. XD
PS, your finished look is fire! You put the art in makeup artist! :3

This was a good video. With other content maybe edit to the content and not so much all your tics. Cause like it or not, tourettes is a part of you.
This is something I still struggle with myself. Most of my life was suppress, suppress, and suppress more. Til finally my brain is like, nope no more suppressing.

The reason you probably have conflicting feelings about other content creators with Tourette’s is because they’re creating content that is exploiting those w/the condition. And by that I mean in the weird unhealthy, way that TLC does their content (my strange addiction, 600lb life etc) I’m not saying that you are creating this content, or even that the creators are consciously doing so- but the reality is that the majority of their audiences are consuming the content in that way. (And tbh idk if that is going to go away for a while, because unfortunately uninformed people on tiktok think it’s “trendy”)
I don’t think you should feel pressured to create content about your Tourette’s if you don’t want to. I originally got to your channel from one of your hair videos. You are interesting and intelligent and funny! You don’t need to fit yourself in a box of what you think Tourette’s creators have to be. If you want to talk about it in your own way, that’s fine too. I know that’s easier said than done, but the simple fact that you create videos is already representation! That’s pretty cool.
Idk if this comment helped, but I hope it did.
