Cristina never made it about herself.. it’s was something akin to “reverse fan-girling”
I met LC after a gig in a dive bar behind the venue. I spent an hour just chatting with them and having drinks. I had no idea who they were at the time but my sister was fangirling hard. My sis was telling her about training to be a nurse. Marco was super chill about chatting about the rig he uses. Just a great bunch of people.
I agree, all band members are like that. Most times we end up fighting (in Italian of course) because I'm a Juventus fan and they are Milan supporters, LOL!
I feel like that's a more common thing with metal and rock bands than pop singers or rappers. Idk out of most the interactions I've had, the more pleasant ones were always with rock and metal bands.

Andrea Ferro doesn't get enough love for his performances. Cristina Scabbia is absolutely amazing, but the dynamic between them is what makes Lacuna Coil above and beyond. Saw them a few years ago and when she was singing, he was engaging the crowd and vice versa. The new album is probably one of their most compelling to date. I think you should check it out.

This was the first time I heard Lacuna Coil too. What a song. Encaptivated me straight away. Apparently she's classically trained but loves metal. What's not to love.
Lacuna Coil is horribly underrated. For some inexplicable reason they've never blown up here in the States like they have elsewhere. I've seen them twice, both times in Shreveport/Bossier City. The first time, they were the opening act for Disturbed's Music as a Weapon tour at the CenturyTel Center. While I love them, they didn't sound especially great there but I think that was mostly due to CenturyTel having awful acoustics. I saw them again in either 2012 or 13 when they played at the Riverside Warehouse and they sounded MUCH better (but possibly it was because I was close enough to the stage that Cristina fist-bumped me, which was freaking cool).
Spot on about mixed. I'm self taught in singing, and finally unlocked my mixed voice last year. Its a lot easier to have a balanced mix when you're completely at rest. Relaxing your throat as well as your jaw are super hard to do, but to have a good mix you have to work around that and get it done.
Not only she's a great singer but she's fun and so down to earth. I remember seeing them live years ago in a super small club in Milan... these guys fill up arenas but still they came to that tiny venue because that's where they started, and they never forgot their roots. Forgot to say she's also hot 🤣
I'm so jealous you got to see Eluveitie...everytime they tour the states they either skip my state, or hit one of the other cities that I can't easily get to (non-driver)
It is very interesting to watch your videos, you received the enthusiasm from the live videos you are reacting to without loss your purpose channel. I can imaging you in a rock/metal concert amost as one of us enjoying the music and singing/screaming the songs. Lacuna Coil is very interesting in concert, I was in the last concert of them in Chile in february of 2020 and Cristina is great singer, Andrea Ferro never was a "supertalented vocalist", but they construct himself as singer on the road, He's singing absolutely better today, and now usses growls.
Lacuna Coil were the first band I remember to come out (1997 - their wonderful first EP) after The Gathering who clearly invented this genre with Anneke in 1995 with the breathtaking album Mandylion. Please do a reaction of The Gathering's "Strange Machines" or "Eleanor" from Pinkpop 1996, Anneke was so young yet unbelievably good. Soon after other bands would appear : NIghtwish, After Forever, Epica... cheers!

Lacuna Coil are pretty damn good. If you want something interesting try checking out PowerWolf; Werewolves of Armenia live. They're a German power metal band with a Romanian singer who's a trained opera singer. And they're also great fun.
everybody loves cristina, shes just... lovable. also i think its the only alto-contralto high-profile female metal vocal out there, thats why she can bring different stuff.
You did a Heart review that I really appreciated! Have you ever thought about doing their Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center. It's done live with the survivors of Led Zepplin in the audience as they were honored that night. Just superb!

Lacuna Coil deserves so much more recognition! I think When A Deadman Walks is one of my favourites of theirs, as well as Senzafine.
