Its impossible a baby breastfeeding for the first 2 years will always have more time with the Mother, The mom also has the baby womb for 9 months feeling her kick and watching her stomach grow and gives birth to the baby. obviously motherly bond is on a higher level with her kid than a Man is.

Not all women have children or want to have children
Some women would rather devote themselves to God
Why can not a woman pray when she is menstruating? I don't understand this, I enjoy my prayers at all times. If I am menstruating and in pain I pray to Allah to help me and he always helps me. Men came up with all these rules, women were never even asked. To me it sounds like something men came up with to belittle women. It just goes to show how much the entire system is organized to fit only men. Why wouldn't a woman be rady to receive God's revelation? Because she is in pain? Many people who were considered prophets went through a lot of pain and received God's revelation through pain or at least the pain was not enough of a reason not to receive God's revelation. Why wouldn't a woman then be able to perform the same role like a man in society? After all, God gave us this world to be a part of it. A woman can personally have a deep relationship with God but can not perform the societal public duties related to this relationship thus manifesting the power of love she feels for God into our society?
I completely agree with is said here about equality. And the differences between sexes should be respected. But I don't feel that I am different than men in my capability and desire to serve God both privately and publicly.
    Peace be upon you

      You answered your query yourself
Imagine if Allah didn't give women permission to leave prayers in periods
You might love to pray during periods but there are thousands of women who live through painful periods and dysmenorrhea.
If they couldn't pray they would be sinners.
I feel so grateful to Allah for letting us keep fasts later and leave from prayers during periods.
Most women cannot walk properly due to terrible cramps, nausea and irritability due to fluctuating hormones.
Also the movement during prayers is another hurdle for menstruating women, you do realise a huge percentage of poor women have no access to sanitary napkins and even washrooms?
Asking them to pray or lead the prayer would be cruelty in such situations.
Also Allah has created our bodies different for a reason - our capabilities and intellectual performance might be debated as men and women come in all forms
There are Einsteins and Edison but then there is also Madam Curie and Rosalind Franklin.
We also have Gandhi and Mother Teresa - men and women who are physically average but strong mindfully.

Yet they became one but women because of them being babymakers and having periods can't be one with this reasons?!?!? Lol. Even if the woman is menstruating, if she is really devoted to Allah wouldn't she find a way to fix that problem as an Imam? Also, considering that most Imams are old and women stop menstruating at an old age, what stops them from becoming one if that's the main problem? The Koran isn't didn't state that it is Haram either for a woman to be an Imam so why?? So many questions unanswered.

these excuses are so weak. 1. About taking care of children, the speaker says because women needs give full attention to children, therefore prophethood cannot be assigned to them. Well Muhammad only became a prophet at the age of 40. Any women at the time would have long married and raised children old enough to take care of themselves by 40. 2. Menstruation, we have female leaders everywhere today, I guess none of them suffer from the pains of menstruation? 3. Rights for women in Islam. Inheritance is half the share of a man. Divorce is done through consent of the husband, while men can simply divorce unilaterally. And what does this even have to do with the original question of female prophethood?

  • @islamforall437

It's amazing how Muslims only limit Prophethood to Males just because ALLAH did not mention any female Prophets in the Quran by name.
ALLAH clearly said HE has sent many Prophets to the Children of Israel and other nations before Muhammad although HE did not mention them by name.
Almost all the Prophets mentioned by name in the Quran are from The Children of Israel.
If you go through the writings of the Children of Israel you will clearly find female Prophets mentioned by name and ALLAH speaking through them.
For instance, I am one of the few people who believe that Mary the mother of Jesus Messiah was a Nabi even though she did not preach.
Please read the verses of ALLAH, it is clearly evident that she received verses and instructions from ALLAH look at the way ALLAH addresses her and the fact that HE has mentioned her in the list of the Prophets in Surah Al Nabiyun

Some women are objecting that what about:
    1. if some lady is barren?
    2. doesn't want to marry?
    3. a woman after her menopause?
In Islam what really matters is the wish and will of God and His desires for us. Complying to it gives us the greatest of rewards.
It's also for forbidden to compete for leadership (imam) and to put one's merits forward as this presumes arrogance which is one of the greatest sins. God loves humility on the part of all His creatures. Man are thus supposed to be elected to positions of imam by propositions of others.
The Holy prophet saw of Islam woke almost everyday after midnight and prayed till dawn such that his feet became swollen to achieve the pleasure of his Lord and as a way of gratitude towards Him.
In Islam, all believers are expected to emulate the prophet perfectly and more so the imams and caliphs.
God in His wisdom has decreed that women's duties as a wife, daughter, mother etc would suffice for her to achieve the greatest of rewards without the additional external spiritual exercises which have been put on men.
A women can achieve whatever a man can by just staying within the four walls of her house. While for man to achieve such same high rewards as women it has been made incumbent upon him to perform some external duties as well.
He is expected to do all of his five daily prayers in the mosque (prayers at home are nullified if mosque can be reached easily and without major excuse). Women are exempted from all that.
In Islam titles do not matter in the sight of God but rather it's the spiritual merit achieved in His sight.
Man or woman should not be deluded by such titles as prophets, caliphs or imams. These are all external and in Islam what matters most is God's pleasure not titles.
We all know what types of imams there are today...
Desire to be called imam shows desire for wordly grandeur and achievement rather than caring for God's pleasure.

This is like you asking why did God create the sun so brighter than the moon or why did God make some people short while others are tall. The response to this is that God is the ultimate creator. So, he alone understands why he has chosen specific shape or structure for his creations. It is not worthy of any creature to ask these questions because we cannot create a tiny hair from our body and of course, we didn't create ourselves. It should not be in our nature to question as to why God created us in one way or the other. Rather, what is expected of us is to understand the purpose of our creation. That is, to understand why we are being created.
Does the biological way we are created stop us from getting a reward of good deed from Allah? Does it affect our main purpose to worship God? If it doesn't stop us from earning reward for our good acts, then being biologically different doesn't make either of the two gender better than the other.
So, your definition of biologically better is not tenable. For example, by nature the males are not structured to get pregnant. So if you think that females getting pregnant makes them less better biologically, then you should realize that you're wrong.
In fact, the feelings women have makes them so special in their own way. This makes it possible for them to understand their offsprings better and give them the love and care they deserve. How then does that make females have a lesser brain, if they are even capable of understanding their children much better than the males do?

The reasons given were not convincing. There don't really even need to be reasons for this, but if you're going to go looking for them, a woman's menstrual cycle is not a valid reason for her not being "able" to be a Prophet. Allah would have just shown women how to handle their cycles through an example or that knowledge would have been lost like so much already has of male prophets.
Allah in his wisdom chose to remind us of some prophets and messengers and not of others. We don't know the races of the prophets either or who He sent, and to where, yet we know He's sent messengers to every nation. He doesn't say in the Qu'ran that there weren't any female prophets and there is no hadith that says there weren't. We are making this jump.
Is my above claim a legal argument for a woman to seek means of leading groups, communities, states, countries consisting of men? I don't believe so, as there are hadith that warn against this.

The responsibility of Motherhood does not prevent a woman from Prophethood.
ALLAH will never give responsibility to a men that they cannot handle.
The female Prophets of Israel were all married and had children but they still led people in prayer and fulfilled their prophetic duties with ease.
So this explanation does not validate the denial of female Prophets in Islam...
When you deny one female Prophet, you basically deny all the other Prophets.
Just because ALLAH did not mention them by name in the Quran does not mean HE did not send them.
Go back to the history of the Children of Israel. Female Prophets are there..... And ALLAH spoke through them.

If we take the Quran at it’s word that the the Bible is from Allah (29:46 AYA, 10:37 AYA), and his word cannot be changed, and what the Jews and Christians had at that time is the same as what we have now (because we have complete manuscripts that pre-date the Quran), and that Allah affirmed what they had at that time (5:43 MP, 5:47 MP, 5:71 AYA/68 MP, 3:93 AYA, 2:111 AYA, 5:77 MP/80 AYA, 10:94 AYA/95 MP) there were multiple females whom he chose as prophets. The Quran says that the Bible is the word of Allah, so it is the truth, so there were female prophets that instructed men as well as women.
    Miriam (Exod. 15:20)
    Deborah (Judg. 4:4)
    Huldah (2 Kings 22:14; 2 Chron. 34:22)
    Noadiah (Neh. 6:14)
    “the prophetess” (Isa. 8:3)
Anna is a “woman prophet” (prophētis), which is the same Greek word the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament, uses to translate the Hebrew něbī’āh (Luke 2:36). Like the prophet Simeon who is paired with her (2:25-27), Anna is led by the Holy Spirit to speak about Jesus “to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem” (2:38). The masculine gender of the signifiers describing her intended audience suggests Anna prophesies to both men and women.

Women has been imams but temporarily for women. What's being discussed is the permanent spiritual leadership (imam) and the sacrifices attached to this type of work.
Our prophet saw woke almost everyday after midnight and prayed till dawn such that his foot became swollen due to it as a remembrance of his lord and his mercy on him.
Any successor of the prophet or any local imam is expected to follow the prophet perfectly.
Women are exempted from such toils due to their gender and duties as women. But this doesn't mean lesser reward though.
In Islam accepting the wish of God is the Supreme achievement and competing for leadership is the worst of sin (even for man).
Man are expected not to push themselves forward and to be humble. They are supposed to be elected to positions of Imam by proposition of others.

Why don't God just gave a miracle for woman prophet such as having a strength as 10 men, having high intelligent equal to 10 greatest thinker in the world at that time, exclude them from having menstruation period or at least not having it too long, quickly recover within a day from giving birth etc? Is it really that much of a difference compared to the time when male prophet having sick? when they can't be on a full duty.

You ignored my comment because you probably know the place of the garbage you're defending and strawmanned his argument. No one, you disgusting lier, claimed that men shouldn't take care of their children. Men and women should both raise their children and it's an obligation on both of them but simply, having a job takes a lot of the time that, for the general case, the child needs and mothers are more suitable to be who the child stays most the time with; for example, young children need emotions which generally men don't give nearly as much as women do. But both are responsible for the child.

So you judge God by your(or any human really) mind that is prone-to-mistake and easily affected by factors as simple as hearing many people repeat something is true to believe it is true are going to judge God's order and say that God didn't say it. So how, then, if your twisted logic is right, can God tell us something that seems counterintuitive to us is true if people like you would just ignore the evidence and say they "won't believe God said this" like a racist might say and feminists like you do.

Some drops of errors from the total ocean of errors in the Bible:-
    1. The Bible says that the sky is "hard as a mirror of cast bronze" Job 37.18. So the Bible insists on a static universe. Actually Albert Einstein's famous blunder, the cosmological constant, was to explain the static universe. Although at that time no scientific evidence existed to support that claim, Einstein gave the Bible the benefit of the doubt and went for a static universe, non-expanding non-contracting. Later, when Edwin Hubble discovered the expansion of the universe, Einstein retracted this cosmological constant and called it the biggest blunder of his career. By trusting the Bible Einstein got it wrong by the order of 10^120
    2. The Bible says that Earth is a 2 dimensional flat disk and the heaven is like a canopy: Isaiah 40.22. And since Earth is flat then Jesus could see the entire Earth from a single high location Matthew 4.8
    3. The Bible explains how the sun is related to day and night (Genesis 1.1-31). It says that on the first day God created the light and darkness on Earth, the first evening came and the first morning followed. But God did not create the sun until the fourth day, specifically after three evenings and three mornings. So three evenings and the three mornings occurred on Earth before there was a sun. So according to the Bible daylight occurred without the sun!
    4. Our sun is a very small star. Actually our solar system, including the atoms that you are made of, came from a dying star 100 times more massive than our sun. Some stars are even bigger than our solar system, so you can imagine how large stars are. However according to the Bible these stars are so small that they could fall on Earth: In Mark 13.24-30 Jesus said that stars will fall on Earth before his second coming. Actually he said that stars will fall on Earth before even that generation pass away. However that generation passed away a long time ago and no star ever fell on Earth nor ever will. Do you know why? Because Earth will vaporize before it even contacts a star. So according to the Bible, Jesus's second coming will happen when Earth is already vaporized!
    5. Today's scientists have confirmed that animals inherit their colors and stripes from their parents (through DNA), the Christian Bible says something else: In Genesis 30.37-42, the Bible explains how baby goats get their streaked colors: If their parents were mating AND LOOKING at upright rods then the baby goats will have stripes; while if their parents were mating BUT NOT LOOKING at upright rods then the baby goats will not have stripes!
    6. In the Christian Bible Jesus insists that the only sign we should verify is him being in the grave for three days and three nights (Matthew 12:38-40). So we are checking: He was crucified on Friday afternoon, the day before the Sabbath (Mark 15:42), and then he was resurrected on Sunday morning (Mark 16:9). Between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning there is 36 hours. Can anyone fit within those 36 hours three days and three nights?
    7. According to the Bible Earth's gravity is so strong that it will make stars fall on Earth: In Mark 13:24-30 Jesus said that stars will fall on Earth before his second coming. Actually he said that stars will fall on Earth before even that generation passes away. However that generation passed away a long time ago and no star ever fell on Earth nor ever will.
    8. The Christian Bible falsely claims that during the time of King David they paid for the temple 10,000 gold darics, coins which turned-out to be actually struck by King Darius 400 years later (1 Chronicles 29:7)
    9. The Bible insists that the sky is blue: Exodus 24:10
    10. According to the Christian Bible David bought a plot of land on which the temple was to be built. One chapter says the price was 50 shekels of silver, another chapter says the price was 600 shekles of gold. So according to the Bible money is relative
    11. The Christian Bible says that Earth is fixed on top of pillars 1 Samuel 2:8
    12. The Bible insists that Jesus could see the entire Earth from a single high location (Matthew 4:8); but this is only possible if Earth is flat. And if Earth is flat then everybody should see the moon at the same time but today we know that this is false. The moon can only be seen at night, while people in daytime cannot see it.
    13. The circumference of the circle is πD. So if the diameter is 10 units then the circumference should be 31.4 units. However in describing the temple the Christian Bible erroneously claims that the circumference is 30 units, making π = 3 (1 Kings 7:23)
    14. The Bible says that stars burn like lamps, that is, it is a chemical reaction Revelation 8:10. However in reality there is no such thing as burning, instead atoms fuse inside stars by gravity, a nuclear reaction, not chemical
    15. In Proverbs 6:6-7,Bible says Ants have no rulers,no boss,no leaders.Today because of entomologists we know many things about ants.
They are social insects, which means they live in large colonies or groups. Depending on the species, ant colonies can consist of millions of ants. There are three kinds of ants in a colony: The queen, the female workers, and males. The queen and the males have wings, while the workers don’t have wings. In The Bible, it asserts that ants have no commander, no overseer or ruler...

If a woman is raped, she has to produce four eye witness to prove her allegation. If she can't, she herself will be punished for bringing false allegation.
Eye witness of two women is considered as that of one man. This is because woman's brain is half of man.

Husband has right to give talak, or divorce, but wives have no such right. If husband utters talak three times, talak is final, it cannot be reversed. If husband wants back his wife, then the wife has to marry, sleep with another person at least for one night, then get talak. This is halala.

Allah could do the same for a women prophet... but never did the same... 2) As for menstrual issues, Allah could give prophethood for a women after menopause so that issue also can be resolved... Prophet Mohammed was given prophethood at 40 and Salah was imposed at a much later age... in short Allah could appoint a women that is not married or widowed with no children at menopause age... 1) that is a fallacy as i havent read anywhere that the reason he didnt have a family was coz he was a prophet and needed all the time he had for his duties. What about the other prophets?
      2) again all prophets were sent to their nations in their time. That means it is easier for a people to follow a male leader than it would have been were it a women. This is the jahaliya arabs we are talking about. They would get sad if their wives gave birth to daughters. But if Allah wanted all arabs could get accustomed to it and would have been ready to accept a female prophet. If Allah wanted all humans could have been believers by not sending any messengers and showing himself. A step further would have been, if Allah wanted all humans would be born believers and died believers.

The last line is flawed. Men is not always better than women and viceversa. Here unlike physical capacties we are talking of spiritual capacities. Both can achieve equivalent rewards in the sight of their Lord but not necessarily in the sight of man/human.
And in Islam what counts is always what's right or what's decided as being the wish of God.
In His wisdom He made women fit for motherhood and women's duties and decided that this in itself would make her qualify for His rewards without the need of additional external toiling as in the case of men.
Men is quite unfit for this unique role of women.
But in the sight of their Lord though their duties and roles are different- their spiritual capabilities are both equal and open to the greatest of rewards.
We should thus avoid focus on titles such prophets, caliphs or imams. What counts rather is the spiritual merit achieved in the sight of the Lord

Babies need love, from both their mother and father, or their mother or father, it is wrong of rational religion to use one sided research to show as evidence that a mother is needed for the first few months. Secondly, where does it say in the Quran that women can not be Imams, or even lead prayers, or give kutbahs? A women's prospective is just what we need and by giving this wrong information you are restricting the path to progressive Islamic thought.

A woman's primary role is to have children, just as a man's primary role is to provide for his family and be the backbone for his wife and children. Why does this have to equate to inequality? Men and women have different roles but are still equal. I think once both men and women realise the importance of their respective roles a lot of the problems in the modern world will disappear.

For example nums dedicate their lives to god and they dont have children, why cant the same be done? And why does it assume that moms have to be there 24/7? Mothers can work and take car of their children. You talk about equality and requity, yet if that is true there should be atleast the choice for women to be whatever they want, as a man can. I dont see this a flaw of islam, because this is a social accepted construct, not a word of god, no where in quran does it say that you cannot be an imam. I dislike how this is not only accepted but taught as god’s word.

I think it is Allah who chooses one he wants to be a prophet. If Allah wants a women to be a prophet then she is a prophet! it is the teaching that Muhammad is the last prophet. I appreciate that an informed sensible explanation is tying to be given but it leaves gaps for further questions or “then what about...” arguments. it’s best to first say JUST Because Allah Willed this. That is the way Allah said to. So we as Muslims accept it and remain satisfied with it. And that is enough for us Muslims. We r satisfied with it because Allah has the utmost wisdom in his commands than any intelligent human can ever obtain. That way there is no door open for counter arguments. We don’t go around asking these same types of questions to other religions. Why not? Again bc Allah commanded us to respect the other religions. It’s a form of respect that we aren’t them so we don’t probe at it. But the explanation given here obviously is very logical for those sincerely seeking an answer.

I feel Allah knew men wouldn't bow if a woman leads him in prayer.
I can't say about the whole world but the part of world where I live (Asia) even after centuries have passed, the situation for women hasn't changed and wouldn't change IMO.
_Asians have had women as queens, prime ministers, president way before the West has had but when an Asian man would be asked to stand behind a woman he simply won't_
No amount of scientific, economic, political, social development would change a man's belief of superiority.
The only woman who can be ahead of a a man is his mother. And she would be seconded if the father of the man comes into the picture.
Of course there are some matrilineal societies here in Asia but they're very few.
*Also, the crimes against women in East as well as the West give me a feeling that a woman might rule the heart of a man and even a country by herself, but she cannot rule a man's mind*
Isn't it ironical that all the slangs and cuss words have a woman in it- mother/sister/ daughter.
There's no cuss word having father/brother/son
This tells us that women a man considers worthy are
his mother, then wife & then daughter.
And he would not let any random women to be ahead of him.
Men don't even let women get into mosques in Asia, forget leading the prayer😔
