Ex showroom 47 lakh for just 170kms joy😅 its better we wait for normal electric cars rather than luxury electric car.
Tata Nexon ev dark addition
Yeah wait for Tesla to make it's way to India.
Autocar India your camera person is a legend. The way he shot this video is just amazing, I felt like watching a movie with VFX editing. Brilliant
I drove Mini Petrol in Bangalore for the first time and I immediately fell in 🥰 with it but the price of this car is so crazy that I can't even think about it.
👍
Especially the JCW
With all these ev options in our market, I feel India has missed a step in between - the range of hybrids. Considering the limited charging infrastructure available here, the hybrids would've made the transition much smoother.
Ya,Honda city hybrid is worth considering
Hybrids are available in US and EU market for a long time now but it doesn't make much sense cost-wise in Indian market, look at the sales of Toyota Prius and Camry overseas.
Hybrid tech is more complex with more moving parts resulting in higher selling prices.
Indians will see that I am getting just about 5-8 kmpl more mileage than a normal petrol car with almost 3-5 lacs more premium than we'll do our life calculations and not buy a hybrid 🤣
On the other hand, a Pure EV with about 3-5 lac margin makes much more sense for those whose daily driving is about 50-100 kms.
Correct! - let the consumer switch from ICE-> Hybrid-> Electric ⚡️
Completely true, which is why the CITI Hybrid is a step in right direction!
My reaction when autocar drops a video 👉🏻 7:18
It looks CLASSIC ❤️🔥 just cooper things!!!!!!!
200km Range is pure garbage
Minis are already hard to justify and now this
Dual motors with double the battery size would have been actually a deal
Though it would be a lot more heavy but it's a hatchback so they could have improved it a lot more
The scientist who is going to invent a new battery which last for2000 km in single charge will rule the world….!
Anything above 1200 kms will rule the world.
Solid state batteries can achieve that kind of range but we have to wait a little more
You don’t need that kind of range … for 90% of cars a daily range of 300km is good enough and for 95% 500km per day(therefore per charge ) is good enough
500km range and sufficient charging points are more enough.
Either that or fast charging of 0-100% in 5 minutes would do.
the intro my god is absolutely fabulous!!
Those alloys are just 🔥
The range should have been more...much much more! without charging points/stations in our roads and highways, these ev's would be a headache to drive. Range is very less, no matter the fun factor. In the end of the day the owner will be looking for charging places to recharge and with everything we have right now, it's not enough to buy or own a car with less range. The range will further decrease with bags and passengers in the car. The price of this car doesn't match the range. I really wish and pray that car makers across the range, make EV's with much much better range at least 500+ km range. I know iam saying something "unthinkable", "ridiculous" but i just read in a article that mercedes has launched a car having 1000+ km range in one single charge(i don't know if it's true or not)so if they can do it why can't these other car manufacturers??...and why isn't the price dropping for EV's in india?? why is it always on the expensive side?? and even when it is available it's having a price tag of 10 to 12 lakhs!! with a range of 250+km(not sure). What's the point? is the govt suddenly giving everyone a central govt. job? or is everyone having a starting salary, average starting salary of 70 to 80000 per month??i don't really think so. Iam sorry, i just opened up. Sorry! thank you ma'am for your extensive input and advice. I have always loved your reviews. Thank you so much for your hard work. Take care. Stay safe.
It's not the range that is an issue. It's the availablity of fast charging stations. Charging stations for every 5 km along the highways is the best thing to do rather than breaking head about increasing the range. Moreover higher range means higher battery cost as well.
160 KM is real life makes me remind of iPhone 4 phase where you carry the phone and look for the charging socket 🤟
Needs more range atleast 250km range so that we can charge it once every 2 days
47 lakhs hyndai iconic or kiaev6 with more range is better buy. But mini has its own fan base
Someone who has enough cars and don’t mind a low range EV in the garage, for occasional use or for kids, or just to fill the parking space, mainly as a status symbol and show that they care for the environment among their circle, well they are the target audience.
Love the Background music 🎶 👌
AP Dhillon is impressed by the intro tune.
51L on road Mumbai for 150km range 😂
Nexon seems a way better buy for the price!
You don't see the price of Cooper. Ever.
why are you even comparing the two...?
you're being sarcastic right? 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Nexon also has JBL speaker and performance 😂
Nice one guys!
What we need in India are affordable electric hatchbacks that will be the one the market most wants, a range of 300 kms in normal conditions would be the sweet spot.
The mini electric is a fine car butbat 47 lacs it will find onlyna few takers
Her voice is so soothing, i like this girl , excellent presentation. Cheers
Girl? Lol Renuka is one of the OG autocar India presenters
She's not girl... she's a lady...woman to be precise....🤣🤣
What is its price ?
evs in passenger segment have no future, a person who can buy a mini for 50 lacks can't pay for petrol?? evs should be solely used for commercial segment, it will reduce fuel burden n improve air quality as well!!
Range is appalling for a car of that price. It shouldn't fall behind nexon ev in range at the very least.
This is the best host 💖
With no gearbox and engine fitted in theory the Mini may have the remote possibility to actually become a reliable car.
Phew, mini Cooper s is outstanding,
NEXON EV is better just look at the price insanity . Probably can buy 3 Nexon EV with such a budget and that is better in range too .
This is mini Cooper bro , if you wanna drive this thing then you have to pay more 😁
@@dk-uf4vz Overpriced car
Alloy wheels👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
whats the maintenance cost per year for these mini coopers?
In india the best ev available is nexon ev
Range.... Range.... Range..... As ling as this headache remains.... EVs are a distant dream. Its better to rely on hydrogen fuel
Waiting for e - countryman !!
160km practical range is a strict NO...
In Canada this car costs CAD 40000 or 24 lakh Indian rupees…..why is our government taking so much import duties….it’s berserk and that too for an electric car.
The average milage is 150 km for each charge.
160 km?! That’s Tata X Press T territory.
I would rather add a few more bucks and get an XC40 Recharge (when it arrives)
4K
Renuka rockzz 🥰
160km range bruh
The speculated audience for this car would have a secondary car for longer drives.
I bet VW Beetle will make a more cuter EV than this ;)
honda city hybrid is gud option
Yes I think it's a bit overpriced and I wish it had more range, but you buy it bcoz it's a Mini and it drives like one. It's exciting to drive and it's *feels* better than other cars.
A city car for ₹45l hmm. A true SoBo car. 😝
I am waiting for model........
Mg zs ev is better option because battery range is better and less price
If someone wants a mini he will have a reason. You can't tell them to buy an SUV just because it has more range 🙄
The customer base of both cars are different. People buy mini cooper as a novelty or for their wives to go for errands around the city while they have a Mercedes for their Commute. MG is a common man car.
Lesson = Wait for 6-8 years more for "Normal" EV Cars.
No ventilated seats even after paying a fortune? 🙄
lets go no 1
First to comment 😂😂
Hello mam
I think this car price is 5,6 lks only. 😂😂😂
Such a less range
something which doesn't sound like a cooper is not a real cooper.
Very Low range with very costly body.
Wayyyy toooo expensive 🤮
basiclly a overpriced tata nexon ev ):
47 lakhs for this thing defeats the whole purpose .... Nexon is way better and up class
Useless...I'd go for the petrol
I own a tigor ev and it has got better range🤣🤣.. With 50% percent battery I can ride around 150kms and with ac on around 120kms also it costed me around 13lakhs..🤣🤣 why mini why only 160kms?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
