I would think danya would be the last person ever accused of cheating. He commentates super GMs playing rapid or bullet games all the time and spots not just good moves but is able to instantly articulate the ideas to an audience of casual chess players. I think when someone can do that it’s pretty clear they can calculate in their head much faster.
@@SantiagoSánchezPrietowhat you don't understand is the point that Danya is already great, an instructor, commentator, and a player. The risk of cheating far outwieghs the "avoid losing" objective.
Great point, I think Kramnik And maybe other GMs like Nepo think it's odd that he's such a good bullet player, but he just is. He thinks super fast, which shouldn't necessarily translate into considering every possible line in classical chess. He's still a strong GM, but doesn't need to be in the Candidates every time just to be a fast thinker.
@@villbuzeep2043 Dumb take. Everyone often has engines, or you think TOP GMs are not familiar with engines? Danya sees lines 10 moves ahead and explains them instantly. And he does this on a regular basis.
Kramnik, my guy, no one owes you an explanation. He accuses 10 people a day and expects a thesis level response as if his weird, delusional opinion is actually worth something at this point. What percentage of the elite players he's accused have been proven cheaters? Kramnik has lost all credibility, the Alex Jones of chess.
And the one time someone did accept his challenge he wasn't even capable of playing 3+1, the format in which he accused him of cheating in the first place, because he knew he would've gotten demolished.

I'm 1900 and I will take any challenge by GMs where we play ANY position that I'm already +7. it's like fighting bruce lee but he is missing 1 arm and 1 leg. I won't even be proud of winning. let's for a moment say danya is a cheater. kramnik is mentioning he keeps looking away from screen where he is +7. wouldn't danya stop cheating where he is +7? and play on his own at that point? so, is kramnik saying danya's real rating is lower that 1900? cuz I believe i can win +7 positions easily. also, i improved my chess watching danya youtube channel. he doesn't post bullsh!t for view. he just posts instructive learning chess.
Kramnic: "These are not allegations or slander, but legit questions that you refuse to answer." Also Kramnic: "And you clearly see the engine is here" The fall from being a world champion of chess to an old geezer accusing 10 people of cheating per day, is sad to see. He's lost his mind.
I'm not saying Kramnik went insane, I'm just saying that if someone did the same things as Kramnik then it would be probable to conclude that they are insane, I'm not accusing him of anything though.
The unanswered questions - " prove that you didn't cheat somehow " It's a joke. That is how conspiracy thinking works .... I have this idea and I'm committed to it and anything that you present to disprove me is simply evidence that you are hiding the truth. *The evidence doesn't really matter if you have a conspiracy theory - what matters is your certainty that others have some sort of evil secret intent*
@@NicoR24601 With Kramniks logic you could say "This video shows you are mentally insane." And then after that you say "Noone accused you of being mentally insane, dont play victim and try to manipulate, Im just asking questions"
Danya is one of the best bullet player in the world and Kramnik thinks that is suspicious that he can find good moves in seconds... Yep sounds like Kramnik madness is growing, what a shame for a world champion
The Bc8 stuff is so dumb. "Danya thought about a move in a random position in a random online game two years ago, my engine says its the second best move and my friend couldnt think of it in the same time. Yep, he definitely cheated"
Even a broken Kramnik is right twice a day. No doubt he feels emboldened now he's called out an actual cheater in Shevchenko. Now more convinced than ever he's right about all the others. And give it a rest with the 'I'm not accusing' garbage. That's exactly what he's doing, and he knows it. Nobody thinks Danya is cheating. Just as nobody thinks Jospem is cheating. And nobody thinks Hikaru is cheating. Except Vlad the Implyer. Because he's crazy.
Kramnik says: "And you clearly see the engine is here". then says he didn't accuse, wants Danya to explain where he was looking at in a VOD years ago, then after Danya shows around the room, he is still not convinced and claims his explanation is not factual(fact:whatever Kramnik believes). There is simply no way to satisfy him, whatever answer Danya gives, he will continue to ask "Questions", he doesn't even realize that noone owes him an explanation.
That is because Kramnik is full of conspiracy theories as one person said in the comments. Evidence does not matter when there are conspiracies. So yeah Danya will never really prove he is not cheating in this case because people like Kramnik exist.
And Kramnik claims that he is not accusing Danya so why is Danaya obligated to answer every single questions he has? Even in court, there are times when lawyers do not answer every single accusation or claim made.
Kramnik does this shit after every loss. He’s just a sore loser. What a embarrassment for the chess community. There is literally compilations of him pulling this crap.
Kramnik accusing a professional of cheating which is a level of slander that damages ones career and then bullying the victim saying they're playing games trying to win over the audience. Is just such an intense and unallowable amount of bullying. Like yeah he's defensive you are accusing him of the worst thing he could possibly do in his profession. To attack and then step back and insult the one you're accusing while saying you never made any accusations is the tactic of an abuser. I knew of Kramnik accusing all these players but I didn't know of how he was going about doing it. Trying to have everyone be honest and to put a magnifying glass on strong players is fine, but this seems less like trying to uphold the truth and more like trying to have everyone kneel to your delusions.

I feel, considering how often players close their eyes and cover their faces, especially during critical moves, that there is something very suspicious about how often they stare at their eyelids. I mean.... what is there to look at on their eyelids? Why do they have such a keen interest in looking THERE so often? It would be easy to have stockfish running just out of view of the public... under their eyelids. ~Kramnik, probably.
I have been with Danya on this from the moment I heard about it. What are your thoughts on the matter? Kramnik very often fails to properly articulate his thoughts, leaving us with what clearly sound like accusations. For him to then say to Danya that no one is condemning you, is completely wrong and horrible to say the least. He should acknowledge his own claims to be poorly presented before attempting to ask others for evidence on whether or not they have cheated
I don't believe Kramnik's accusations against Danya for cheating in the slightest... it's ridiculous: Danya, who OTB almost never plays, beat Fabiano Caruana in classical 2 years ago. Kramnik hasn't been World Champion for 17 years, and even then he was past his "peak", which occurred between the end of the 1990s and the middle of 2000. Kramnik really thinks that in blitz he can still easily keep up with one of the top players ( easily) 10 in the world? At this point, it's no longer even a question of his "battle" against cheating, he's just delusional. But as far as I'm concerned his "credibility" had already reached absolute zero when he insinuated that Hikaru was a cheater... this is just ridiculous. Virtually no one among the GMs likes Hikaru particularly well, yet I've never heard anyone before Kramnik even suggest that Hikaru might cheat in any way.
It's genuinely horrifying to see someone get baselessly accused of something incredibly serious without any substantial proof to back it up whatsoever, because too many people nowadays are quick to fall for the "me and bunch of other people said so, so you should believe us" logic without needing any further explanation or proof. These stuff could genuinely ruin someone's life and credibility. wtf is wrong with kramnik? 🤦♂️
I just stumbled upon this sittuation, so without any real context or emotional attachment, the Kramnic guy seems dead wrong. The entire time he was saying, "where are you looking" I was saying "CHAT!! HES LOOKING AT CHAT BRO!!". Is it possible this guy is so out of touch he doesn't understand how streaming with multiple monitors works?
But also like.....I look up and to the left when I am trying to calculate or remember something. Not for a specific reason, I just do it subconsciously. Hikaru looks at the ceiling. It is a completely normal tic for chess players to look away from the board when they are trying to calculate near their limit

Kramnik: "WOAH VICTIM ALERT, nobody said you cheated, I was just asking a question!" And here we see the exact same thing happening again. The nerve of this guy to make wild speculations based on eye movements and mentioning a move (then deciding not to play it) and call it "evidence" is staggering. I am so disappointed that Nepo has agreed with him in both accusations as well. It's one thing for a bitter old man, who can't face the fact that younger peoples' minds are sharper than his, to do it but for a current top player to cheerlead for him is ridiculous and I wish FIDE would slap Nepo with some kind of suspension from competing in events. Daniel and Hikaru are exceptional blitz and bullet players. Both of them are capable of beating Magnus a decent % of the time in these formats, who is a far better player than Kramnik and Nepo have ever been. I'd put a lot of money on either of them to humiliate Kramnik in a blitz series.

My comment on Kramniks recent video: @VBKramnik The “I’m just asking questions” line is getting tiresome. You basically say that you have “questions” and “suspicions” but you aren’t “accusing.” Sure, suspicion and accusation technically aren’t the same. Suspicion means you’re side-eyeing someone, thinking something’s off without saying it outright. An accusation…That’s publicly throwing your finger in their face with a series of videos. It’s like holding a lit match near a fuse and pretending you’re just ‘observing.’ You’re not fooling anyone. At least own it.
It's crazy what Krammik is doing right now. Danya is a wonderful person who helped so many new players to improve and even old players. People start to believe Krammik is becoming more credible because of a gm he accused online was caught cheating over the board but Krammik accuses 9/10 people he loses to and not gonna lie one of those 9/10 he reports per day is gonna coincidentally stick. This kind of gaslighting makes my blood boil, and Kramnik does it over and over and over and over again, he is truly a horrible being who, in my opinion, should be ostracized by the whole international chess community.
I am not a professional player. But even I saw that Bc8 was worth considering. The B is then one future pawn push away from the long diagonal. I mean, who wouldn't look at that? I think Kramnik,s mind is starting to slip a bit.
Even when the accused accept the 1x1 challenge by Kramnik, then the actual games only happen in the format chosen by Kramnik himself. He accused Jospem in TT, but then refused to play the same time formats in the 2 "Clashes". He is a moral dwarf.

As a rule, do not accuse people of something awful without evidence. That is disgusting behaviour and Kramnik should be punished for it. I feel bad for Danya, he's never done anything to deserve this.
See... This is the way it should work- If another GM spots a good move while playing Kramnik, they should NOT play it. If they do play it, then they are clearly cheating, because there is no way another highly accomplished GM could be better than Kramnik, even in one particular game. If they do play the good move (and beat him), Kramnik's only choice will be to baselessly accuse the decorated GM of cheating with pretty minimal evidence. It is similar to the MeToo Movement, but for chess...
Kramnik: I'm not accusing, just asking a question Kramnik: Did you cheated on that game? Danya: No Kramnik: Prove it Danya: How to prove when I'm not cheating and that video was 2yrs ago????? Danya: Sure I will try to show you my setup on that day then. Kramnik: You didn't answer my question.
I remember when Kramnik was called a humble, well-spoken, sportsman right before his retirement. He used to be a great person and supporter of up and coming players, this is bad.
He chooses his words more carefully, but dont be fooled. What I will say is that Nepo is smarter than Kramnik (not the biggest compliment I know). Kramnik is 100% certain, Nepo is merely suspicious. Still, if he did 2 seconds of digging he would have nothing to be suspicious of because THE MOVE WASNT EVEN PLAYED

He wouldn't dare, Magnus would invite him to a Blitz and crush his soul once and for all. Magnus is on another platform altogether and Kramnick knows that. That's why he sticks with players at his level and Calibre..
I've sat through numerous 2 hour bullet brawls watching Danya easily and consistently destroying up to 2800 rated players with great speed, often premoving many moves per game. Kraminik fixating on his eyes and words to already show strong suspicion is the highest level of chess cheating paranoia I've ever seen.
Kramnik being so pedantic. "I never said he was cheating!" The whole video is implying Danya is, so just because Kramnik didn't outright say the words, doesn't mean it's not what he is saying. So not only is he lying, he can't even be accountable for his own actions. The funny thing about that is he wants others to be accountable, but he can't hold himself to those standards.
He straight up said 'And its pretty clear that his engine is here' at 5:31, so he didn't just imply it. Action needs to be taken against this old geezer.
All this tells me is that Kramnik doesn't have evidence and instead tries to play the public to fall for suppositions that could be heavily extrapolated into possibilities of cheating. A lack of definitive evidence just sounds like he's trying to talk nothing into existence and use the mostly anonymous internet as his army. It's shameful, especially for a man of his age.
Kramnik is a world champion of his time.I think we guys forget he is not any tom, harry or some random guy. This guy knows chess better than any of us and probably 99 percent of chess players.Everyone has a era.A time period in which he/she plays best of his career .Danya on the other hand is a super gm itself and a excellent chess mentor.I myself watch his videos to see how a grandmaster thinks in the position a amaeuter or a normal chess player would think.People need to stop hating kramnik on him blaming danya ,hikaru and other guys because kramnik at his peak was better than hikaru or danya.None of these were world champion for 6 consecutive years. your argument doesn't make sense tho... you say 'people need to stop hating kramnik on him blaming danya [...] because kramnik WAS a better player', to put it lightly... its no-sense. I would say that maybe he 'accuses' danya because he is jealous of his youth and his career; you even said that kramnik isn't in his prime anymore so what does make more sense to you: a guy who was very strong and now has to face a new generation of talents hence he is delusional, or since this guy was so strong he HAS to be right? As you can clearly see your argument lacks logic, I will also say that kramnik has started the hate, the accusations and so on... so yea the hate on kramnik is not out of the blue ( I would prefer seeing him sued than hated btw ), that said your 'argument' could also be used in other cases aka bobby fischer, you are implying in this way that everything that bobby Fischer has said about chess HAD to be right cause he was word champion back then, I hope you can see your argument fallacies now, byeee
Kramnik is starting to turn into the amber heard of chess.... constant career ending accusations after accusations without anything to back them up whatsoever 🤦♂️
I'm someone who, in every setting requiring thought e.g. chess, exams, puzzles, looks away to think things through in my head. Sometimes when you're staring at a question, or a chess position, or a sudoku, it's much easier to manipulate things if you're just looking at your mental notes rather than the screen or paper. And I know a lot of people are also like this. So it's good to know that type of thinking is considered grounds for cheating allegations in anything. 5:15 "Normally you don't look away from the monitor with only a few seconds" no, normally YOU don't Kramnik. Shockingly other human beings behave differently. 12:00 "Nobody is condemning you" says man who made a series of videos psychoanalysing Danya's behaviour and putting it public, causing direct harassment and accusations to occur, something that you can literally just search. You can just go to Twitter and find the tweets, it's very easy. Kramnik might believe he's not accusing, and maybe he genuinely isn't, but either he's pretending to not know, or is genuinely completely oblivious to the obvious effect these types of videos have. The man needs to take up golf or something, get outside once in a while.
Even dumber than that, Bc8 wasn't even played, Danya just said it was worth a look. He played the same move all the other GMs suggested. Accused of cheating because he said a candidate move that happened to be a good engine move
Immediately when he accused with the second monitor, I knew the reason was looking at chat. It's super common for streamers to have a monitor for chat. maybe kramnik isn't as familiar with the concept
Also getting way too used to looking at chat constantly even when it hurts their gameplay happens all the time with streamers. Also that looking over clip is so ridiculous, playing at 0.25x speed.
people here defending daniel are just stupid, he can use a camera on his back anytime he wants to clear all doubts or he can play with kramnik for 50k as offered
I think he explained why he wasn't going to do that in the video, as for the 50k why would he do something that benefits kramnik after he slandered him?
@@jasonrepa this is the thing, accepting kramnik's offer is like saying: 'sure buddy your suspicions were legit so now I have to prove myself', danya doesn't have to prove anything to kramnik he already explained himself and if you are not satisfied by that... well then try to have an evidence that he cheated! oh and I will reveal you a secret, danya couldn't win anything from that match: If he wins kramnik would put the blame on the computers and settings and so on... Better to laugh it off than do what Daniel is doing. Kramnik is just throwing mud and seeing if some of it might stick. 4:12 What's this "what did I do to you?" nonsense? Kramnik is accusing you of cheating. I don't think it's a requirement for a chess cheater to have done something to their accuser to be outed as a cheater. What did Hans Niemann do to any of the thousands of people who scorned him for being a cheater? You then go on to claim you've treated Kramnik with respect so therefore because of this he should not out you if he thinks you're cheating? In this bizarro world of yours, all a chess cheater has to do is be nice to everyone and treat them with respect, and nobody will ever out their cheating. Your deflection doesn't make any sense and gives some additional weight to his accusations.
It's common to look away when visualizing and thinking hard on something. One theory is that you want to minimize external input that could disturb your thinking. Looking at a blank wall would be very natural in such a case.
Kramnik publicly admitted in a recent interview with Levitov that he had (accidentally) taken an Apple watch to one of the Chess Olympiad matches without noticing it. He was just lucky that he wasn't caught before he noticed it himself.
I know these kind of people as Kramnik, actually had one at work. They always try to gain attention to themselves by pissing you of with stupid, shallow disputes and when they realise they just lose an argument, when they gained your attention, your anger, they try to twist the whole thing to make you feel stupid. Same here - "don't play victim card", "nobody blames you", 'I was just asking questions" is this kind of bullsh*t. I just wish two things: 1) Kramnik would stop and realise the indecency of what he is doing and saying, this is not a world chess champion behaviour 2) if the first one is not possible, I wish others just stop paying attention to this kind of behaviour

Danya has INTEGRITY. He’s online 24/7 and any suspicious behaviour would have been raised by his viewers. This is BS.
Exactly, it's very hard to cheat online. Even randoms get caught all the time, someone as high profile as Danya would've been caught long ago if he was cheating.
@@LeafyPeach Actually it's the easiest to cheat online. You just need to be decent at the game first and know how not to get caught. "Don't always play first engine move, make mistakes on purpose" Let's not pretend its impossible to cheat online. Is Naroditsky cheating? Who knows but lets at least be real about the possibility
The only way to shut kramnik is accuse him back. There are lots of his moves that is questionable and engine precision.
Vlad has already been banned from prize tournaments after he was caught cheating. As is typical with Russians, he blamed the whistleblower
@@Crashawsomegive an actual date and tournament please

@@Goblonium is Topalov in your comment a date or a tournament?😅

This kind of gaslighting makes my blood boil, and Kramnik does it over and over and over and over again, he is truly a horrible being who, in my opinion, should be ostracized by the whole international chess community.
I am not a professional player. But even I saw that Bc8 was worth considering. The B is then one future pawn push away from the long diagonal. I mean, who wouldn't look at that? I think Kramnik,s mind is starting to slip a bit.
If you watch hikaru or even magnus playing they also glance at the side all the time
Are you dumb??
Even when the accused accept the 1x1 challenge by Kramnik, then the actual games only happen in the format chosen by Kramnik himself. He accused Jospem in TT, but then refused to play the same time formats in the 2 "Clashes". He is a moral dwarf.
Kramnik has just gone insane. I hope they have good mental hospitals in Russia or wherever he is living
it’s wild to think a former world champion would be so reckless
I don't believe Kramnik's accusations against Danya for cheating in the slightest... it's ridiculous: Danya, who OTB almost never plays, beat Fabiano Caruana in classical 2 years ago. Kramnik hasn't been World Champion for 17 years, and even then he was past his "peak", which occurred between the end of the 1990s and the middle of 2000. Kramnik really thinks that in blitz he can still easily keep up with one of the top (easily 10) players in the world? At this point, it's no longer even a question of his "battle" against cheating, he's just delusional. But as far as I'm concerned, his "credibility" had already reached absolute zero when he insinuated that Hikaru was a cheater... this is just ridiculous. Virtually no one among the GMs likes Hikaru particularly well, yet I've never heard anyone before Kramnik even suggest that Hikaru might cheat in any way.
Kramnik kept up and beat Jospem when they moved to in person blitz
@@villbuzeep2043 And then Jospem wiped the floor with Kramnik online and ended the contest with a 3 game lead.
@@villbuzeep2043 jospem isn't even the top 10 dude
As a rule, do not accuse people of something awful without evidence. That is disgusting behaviour and Kramnik should be punished for it. I feel bad for Danya, he's never done anything to deserve this.
As a rule if you are overperforming online show your skills OTB even once.
Supporting Danya obv
Danya is like the sweetest guy in chess haha. Probably the least likely to cheat. Kramnik picked the wrong one
He's picked everyone by now
So you're saying there's a chance?
Kramnik: I'm not accusing, just asking a question
Kramnik: Did you cheated on that game?
Danya: No
Kramnik: Prove it
Danya: How to prove when I'm not cheating and that video was 2yrs ago?????
Danya: Sure I will try to show you my setup on that day then.
Kramnik: You didn't answer my question.
Betting one million dollars that the "GM" Kramnik texted was just him in a different number
HAhahaha yeah thought the same
It was nepo
I remember when Kramnik was called a humble, well-spoken, sportsman right before his retirement. He used to be a great person and supporter of up and coming players, this is bad.
Nepo didn't really buy it it was more like he was interested in the move but I dont believe that he thought that Danya was cheating
He has insinuated Danya before during a stream
given nepo's track record of insinuations and allegations, he prob believes it.
I don't buy it for a second 😂
GMs choose their words, but there's always subtext to their words.
@@wallysullivan9315 Nepo is like a yes man to Kramnik, just saying what he knows Kramnik wants to hear, and then carrying on with his life.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of the people inadvertently pushing Kramnik to keep doing this, because instead of telling him what they truly think, I bet all his "friends" egg him on. That's why Kramnik is so bold.
You can tell Daniel's genuinely upset by all this.
next: Magnus is cheating
He wouldn't dare, Magnus would invite him to a Blitz and crush his soul once and for all. Magnus is on another platform altogether and Kramnick knows that. That's why he sticks with players at his level and Calibre..
Accusing Magnus would be his biggest mistake lmao
I've sat through numerous 2 hour bullet brawls watching Danya easily and consistently destroying up to 2800 rated players with great speed, often premoving many moves per game. It is not at all a stretch to me that he would be very good (although not as dominant) in the blitz format. He isn't as good as Magnus, HIkaru, Alireza, etc and his rating in indicative of that.
I can’t stand people who argue like that lol
He straight up said 'And its pretty clear that his engine is here' at 5:31, so he didn't just imply it. Action needs to be taken against this old geezer.
All this tells me is that Kramnik doesn't have evidence and instead tries to play the public to fall for suppositions that could be heavily extrapolated into possibilities of cheating. A lack of definitive evidence just sounds like he's trying to talk nothing into existence and use the mostly anonymous internet as his army. It's shameful, especially for a man of his age.
7:50 Kramnik gives what???

Guys this is my take on situation i don't want to root for one side and blame another.

your argument doesn't make sense tho... you say 'people need to stop hating kramnik on him blaming danya [...] because kramnik WAS a better player', to put it lightly... its no-sense.

Bc8 was played 2 years ago lmaoo, I had no idea, that just makes everything so much dumber

I agree!

( search Joseph vs kramnik match ) and if he loses than it would mean that Kramnik was right! so yea its not very clever to accept that match
Better to laugh it off than do what Daniel is doing. Kramnik is just throwing mud and seeing if some of it might stick. Danny Offer to play Kramnik otb
I dont understand the whole otb thing. Danya is really good with the mouse and hes really good online, he doesnt play much otb anymore because he doesnt like it, so obviously he would perform worse otb. Not to mention the pressure because he would have to play really well to "prove himself" (thats stupid too, but oh well)
Trump is a madman, Putin is a madman, Kim Jong Un is a madman, Bibi Netanyahoo is a madman, most tyrannical rulers in Africa are madmen. I guess it was just a matter of time before one of the best chess players of all time went insane. The only difference is Kramnik doesn't have nuclear bombs or access to them. Laugh the poor guy off.
Sadly, it happened Fischer a lot earlier than with Kramnik, re age. It happens. Intelligence, too much stress, paranoia, etc. appear to be risks for this.

He'll be questioning my 1300 rating next . No one is safe
Kramnik was also spotting some weird performance with Shevchenko's recent games, and then he got caught trying to use a mobile in a tournament.
Good point!
Kramnik publicly admitted in a recent interview with Levitov that he had (accidentally) taken an Apple watch to one of the Chess Olympiad matches without noticing it. He was just lucky that he wasn't caught before he noticed it himself.
