    ABOUT:
    The First exists for the massive group of Americans whose voices have been ignored. The people who are passionate about American values, aren’t afraid to engage big ideas, and who care about where the country is headed. The people who are conservative in their views but aren’t beholden to any party’s talking points. The independent thinkers who rely on things like the facts, context, and perspective to inform their ideology. The people who, although they form the backbone of this country, have been cast aside by the politicians and the media.

      The common, ordinary human is by no analysis perfect, but that ordinary human typically expresses regret and has a desire to resist sin. Unlike the ordinary human, Donald Trump preaches revenge and as illustrated in his book, getting revenge requires lying. And Trump shows his disdain for Christians when he tells us that he's a Christian when it's obvious to everyone that he's not.

    I can't decide why any of this is an issue. As Christians, we are taught to forgive others. And if you are looking for the "perfect" man, he died on the cross.

    • @matthewtenney2898
      @matthewtenney2898 10 днів тому

      But Trump is teaching us his philosophy of revenge and he's been pretty successful at it. No one is looking for a perfect man but this Trump is preaching and teaching the exact opposite message than what Christ taught.

      The typical, ordinary human has a desire to be fair and honest even though they may often fail. But Trump has embraced dishonesty because he has embraced a philosophy of revenge and revenge requires lies. Trump preaches his philosophy of retribution far better than we preach the forgiveness of God.

    I'm a loud-mouth Italian/Hungarian New Yorker who understands the quirks, foils and speech patterns of many New Yorkers. He may be a noise machine who uses figures of speech, and irony, calls things like they are, and doesn't minimize & water things down, etc., which probably gets some people crazy, but I don't care...I get it. I know what he can do for us and our country; he is a doer so it's easy to ignore some of how he says things. Just "get over it" folks. "Actions speak louder than words!"
